  • Problem getting a PDF file is displayed in the store

I have a problem with getting a particular PDF in my Bookstore. I can successfully package/upload the book in ACS, and I can export the file books.xml for my store. The file shows the book, I want to add to the store, but when I update my store with the file books.xml, the book, I want to add to the store does not appear.

I had a similar problem with another PDF book a few months ago: I could upload it to ACS and it was included in the books.xml file, but it would not be displayed in the store. I finally traced back the problem to a picture on the cover and the title page: once I removed the image, the PDF book appeared in the store.

I've done everything I can think of the PDF problem: failed to bookmarks and hyperlinks, replaced all the original images with jpg save for web, used a cover image totally vanilla, Acrobat to control upstream the file (no problems) and Acrobat to convert the colors (which shouldn't be necessary - the PDF was exported in InDesign using the preset of smaller size)-no luck. I also confirmed that I can add a file in the store by downloading a PDF errors, one color.

Any suggestions on what to do next?

I solved the problem by regenerating the PDF - printing to Postscript and then distilling. I'm now adding the file information in properties and make bookmarks again. I hope that these extra things do not break the store again.

Apparently there was a problem somewhere that my store knew but only InDesign, Acrobat and ACS were unaware.

  • Problem getting setup.exe file from Acrobat XI - using WinRAR extractor - "Windows cannot find a file... '.

I downloaded Adobe Acrobat XI from my download of the University site (so I know it's a legitimate and safe copy).  When I run the .exe file, even if an administrator, he begins to extract using WinRAR archive self-extracting and stops with an error pop-up windows:

    «Windows cannot find «C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Temp\RarSFX0\Adobe Acrobat XI\setup.exe»»

I scanned using Malwarebytes, AVG, Spybot and run a \scannow command.  Nothing is a corrupt file.  Any ideas what might be causing the extractor does not work?

I am running Windows 7 on a Dell 64 bit laptop.

SOLUITION - I had to actually download a version of WinRAR Extractor.  Right click on the file AcrobatXI - Windows.exe downloaded and choose "Open with WinRAR" (this option was not available until I downloaded the WinRAR application - apparently the extractor runs automatically, but does not have full functionality).  Then I nagivated in the Adobe Acrobat folder in the WinRAR window selected the setup.exe file to run.  It has open and installed beautifully.

It is a symptom of textbooks classic does not have read and followed the original instructions to prepare the downloaded files.  You should have two files zip files.  They both must be decompressed in the same directory.  If you unzip using Windows graphic interface - in right click on the name of the file and selecting "extract all...". "the default behavior will be to create a directory, the same name as the zip file and extract in it.  Thus, file_1_of_2 pulls in directory_1_of_2 and file_2_of_2 extracted in directory_2_of_2.  You must override this stupid behavior by default and specify the directory yourself.  And specify the SAME directory for both files.

Or just go to a command prompt, change directories to the directory where the two zip files are located and deliver "unzip " and "unzip ", and they will both be properly unpack to a directory named "database".

    Hello

    1. don't you also get an error with the message code?
2 have you installed third-party readers part?
    3. What is the format of the files you are trying to play?

Follow these steps and check if they help.

    Step 1:

I would have you readers of third party temporarily Uninstall and check if persists it to the question.

    Step 2:

Most likely you need codecs to play these files with Windows Media Player. I suggest looking up codec in the Internet that supports the file format, download and install them.

I saw that error and even if it says access denied it will actually save your changes.  After you disable all move forward and apply then restart and see if it kept the changes.  If it's not then I hope that you are able to borrow a disc it would in time look for resettlement. • How to open .zip files in windows media player? I get the msg file type not supported. MP3 files are in the folder.

Hi I downloaded audio files that you want to create a playlist on windows media player to download to my mp3 player so I can be more mobile to study. When I tried to play on windows media player I get error msg-file type is not supported or the codec is not compatible with the player. They are .zip files. inside are the mp3 files that I need to listen to. can someone help me.

    Hello

You need to open ZIP files, which are compressed to make it smaller, then use the content
in the application appropriate - so if the audio or video content can use WMP.

Compress and uncompress files (zip files)
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/compress-and-uncompress-files-ZIP-files

Although Windows has integrated ZIP, you might be more comfortable using a program
with more features (and works with different types of compressed files).

It may be interesting to try to reset the Windows Media Player as follows.

Click on the Start Menu and select Control Panel.  Open programs and features, click on "Windows turn features on or off", open media features and uncheck the box Windows Media Player.  Click Yes and then click OK, and then restart the PC.

When Windows has restarted, click the Start Menu and select Control Panel.  Open programs and features, click on "Windows turn features on or off", open check Windows Media Player and media features.  Click Yes and then OK and when WMP is finished installing, restart the PC again.
