  I know it's a long time ago. And I forgot to get back to you. But the problem solved itself, when I ran an auto upgade of DPS Apbuilder. So now I can get to my folios with CS6 reinstall them and everything is good :-)

  I prefer the method to "remake" (make a new folio and all download) and works now.

  Double click opens the file of the article as usual.

  Hi guys,.

  This is my first attempt to create an application that is going to be a supply of product for my employer.

  I created a document of ipad to portrait indesign called 'front page' stuck my logo on it and then used the "another layout" option to create the landscape of the page version.

  My problem is that when I add the document recto the folio Builder he brings / poster portrait orientation, I expected to see them both.

  Maybe it's a bug, I created a new page from scratch, but still have the same result

  Any advice would be appreciated.

  Did you put the folio to dual orientation? And FWIW, I do not recommend double orientation at all unless there is a special design for her, and even then I wouldn't substitute but rather of two files InDesign layouts.

• Problem updating articles in the Folio Builder Panel

  I'm trying to update the items in the Folio Builder Panel in InDesign CS6 and I get the following error message: happy build error. Could not open the file. Please confirm the file can be opened in the current version of InDesign. The only option it gives me is to cancel the update. I've only worked in CS6, and I've updated these same items previously. I just get a new upgraded computer here at work, updated to OS 10.8.2 and works on an iMac. I had to have my tech staff to reinstall DPS for CS6 desktop tools. Is there something else I'm missing or not do? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  My problem has been resolved with the help of technical support Adobe. Here is the solution:

  Many times there are volumes network came up with the name "users." This can lead to confusion between the local path:

  / Users

  and the network path:

  / Volumes/users

  1. in the Finder, select the menu command Finder > Preferences.

  2. in the general Panel, check the option "connected servers" is selected under the heading "show these items on the desktop:", then close the Preferences dialog box.

  3. choose the menu command Finder > hide others.

  4. close all open Finder Windows to ensure that you can see all the items on your desktop.

  5. If you find what appears to be a volume mounted with the 'users' name, control + click on its icon, then choose the context menu command Eject "users."

  6. Add or update your article (s).

  The reason for this problem did not come on my old machine, it was my drive of the user has not been configured correctly by an official old tech at my company (I wasn't aware of because I had no problem). Then I got my new iMac and all my servers were mapped correctly, and then I came across this problem.

• ADOBE DPS - Look an Article in the cloud of Folio Builder

  Hello everyone

  DPS learning and using Indesign CC and downloaded my folio with articles on my Adobe viewer in the cloud.

  Is on see we in my library on my wife's iPad - BUT when I want to download to view the file, a dialog said "he is ready to download, but have detected my Adobe Content Viewer.» There is also an icon at the base of the file with a page with the strike through line to this topic.

  Am on the last drive of content and no update available - signed to me to the Adobe viewer too. I have no selection dialog on the Folio Builder, which is to say an EXCERPT on MY DEVICE.

  What did I miss not being able to see and swipe the work I've done... Need to wire hard my mac to the ipad with a USB cable as I have heard (even if there is no USB port on this recent model?).

  You must redo your folio with a version of spectator target version 31 or lower. It is a known problem with the version of the viewer target 32 incorrectly being included in the current version of the folio builder Panel.

  When I create a Folio Builder and I check my project Id in the Adobe viewer (sometimes in the Ipad app and Desktop Viewer), I can see a black line at the right margin (maybe 4 px). And I can not set my background (it is an object with a color) to use the "full resolution available to the app in the ipad" and Yes, I'm using rules and I see that my object wallpaper is 1024 x 768. I tried several projects and upgraded the project for the "30" version

  But I am a new user with the ID/DPS. So, is this a bug reported? Or I'm doing sth wrong?

• Folio Builder cs5.5 problem

  OK, we have a new iMac and CS5.5 is installed. Now we have problems to install Folio Builder, he said to download the most recent update and install. We did this (1.1.4), but we still got this error

  After you have uninstalled InDesign, it probably left some data still in there:

  / Applications/Adobe InDesign CS5.5/Plug-ins/Graphics/

  Uninstall again, claire out who settle 1.1.1 data, then re - install, install the 1.1.4 FB Panel.

• Folio Builder CC does not.

  Hi all

  I am in need of help dier - my folio builder Panel will NOT import layouts, existing, new, page layouts. Import only, will not import multiple.

  I can create the folio shell but I can't import all information inside.

  Been on the phone for technical support throughout the morning, nothing helps.

  I have so far:

  •Quit inDesign and rebooted, it

  •Restarted my whole machine

  •Deleted all my preferences

  •Uninstalled ALL the creative cloud programs

  •Used the cleaning tool

  •Created a new admin account and installed inDesign and creative cloud only

  •Thoroughly article tested unsuccessfully imports / same question.

  •Ran tool cleaning on the account of that test and reinstalled Office cloud creative and inDesign

  •Ran for updates check that I was not behind on anything.

  And it STILL does not work, I'm really at a loss

  NOTHING works, I'm stuck with my builder like that Panel...

  

  I desperately need help

  Any suggestions?

  It is difficult to say if there is a problem with the Folio Builder Panel or a problem with the source files you are trying to add/import.

  If the Folio Builder Panel does not seem to work properly, try this:

  1. exit InDesign and all the other CS apps.

  2 delete the opm.db file located in "your user name" /Users/ / Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db, and then start InDesign and try to connect to the control panel.

  If your system files are hidden, hold the Option key and choose go > library in Finder and go from there.

• Question of InDesign CS6 folio builder/links. For iPad.

  Hello. I'm a graphic designer who is very experienced in InDesign using the software to fine printing. I am now branching out with CS6 capabilities and learning design (mainly presentation) applications for the iPad. So I designed a portfolio as a document of several pages including the page orientation to portrait and landscape. The app consists of a sheet of starter that would be a load of animation exported as swf and back imported in InDesign such as HTML5, or MP4, or however (I've nailed it yet because I leave this until the last that this page will be used as screensaver until swiped). When the Viewer slide page 1 they enter the main page "content" with a load of thumbnails within these customers and clients I have charge of case studies. So, I have pretty much designed the layout and that you have to build, but I need to know what I'm limited by.

  Page 1 title page,

  content of page 2 (with the scroll bar with links to other pages)

  page 3 will be the 1st client and will need about 6 case studies, I guess I'll need to make additional pages. And so on.

  In any case, I digress the question I ask is the one to download and test on the iPad via the content player I obviously need to download items in the form of separate pages (incorporating the guidelines both H & V), but I would make the links on my page "content" when the document is a multipage document (IE in its original state) or apply I have these links (as buttons I guess rather than) hyperlinks) when the articles have been separated and I work with page 01, 02, 03 etc in folio Builder? I know not how to create thumbnail buttons but I can't work out how to link them to their desired targets (next page/page no. / etc. etc.) for the record, I would like to present my work on an iPad as an application, without relying on WIFI or 3 G. Last question (phew) is that I have a picture frame with a slide show-is it possible for the Viewer to click on them and open them in full-screen and flick/navigate through this way? then click on a cross in the back of the top corner of the page to the screen they were on. • Overview of Folio Builder freezes

  I searched the forum for a similar topic but have not found one.

  Folio Builder Preview button used to work.

  Now, I've added several articles, and it fails to launch the Office Viewer.

  When I click on preview, it launches a window that says "Checking content folio 1 on 21" (maybe not exactly that I translated into English, I use the software on a french localized version of InDesign CS5.5) and the rest forever this way.

  I uninstalled and reinstalled the tools DPS several times.

  I updated each article separately, everything went well (and folios was created).

  If this can help, into article temporary files are created and then deleted - I guess this indicates that the first item has been processed-, but it creates no temporary files for the second article.

  Next step is to remove all items and import them again. But did I mention that import many articles does not work either? Same problem: progress window sits and still waiting...

  If the preview freezes, first try to delete and recreate the articles as suggested Johannes. If this does not work, the temp .folio files used for the preview may be damaged. On a Mac, you can remove the DMP folder at this location:

  [Username] > Library > Preferences > StageManager. [#] > Local store > dmp

  If you delete this folder, your .folio temp files will be re-created the next time that preview you.

  You've probably noticed only the layout, not the article or folio.

  When you preview in InDesign using the file > preview Folio or when you click the button Preview in the Panel inlays Folio, you preview a version of raster of the provision itself. This preview contains no article property. If you use the Folio Builder Panel to get a preview of the article or the folio, you will have an overview of the double orientation.

  Moreover, most publishers prefer creating single-direction folios to reduce the dimensions of design efforts and folio.

  I have an Indesign file that we created on a windows 8 PC running Indesign CC.  We now have at the party who requires an apple computer to complete the final stages of editions so I packed resources/files on the PC and uploaded the folder packed into a whole new IMac.

  Once again using Indesign CC, I have the file open on the mac and all the links etc. look good.  When I run the folio however constructor, it is BRUTALLY slow.  On the pc which is a slower computer, it takes maybe 5-10 minutes to run, but it will take an hour on the new mac + and when it finally descends the loading screen, it seems just the time itself and don't watch not only a folio has been downloaded.  Its not time on the real part of internet downloading, I am familiar with this error but is not a problem, its expire on the treatment of the folio PNG I guess.

  Note: The file is very heavy on the effects of dps, a lot of slideshows, tons of States of objects, videos, etc.  With the help of its linked files PS for each State of the object for the packaged folder real is a little more than 3 GB.  Obviously the compiled application itself is nowhere near that, but there is a lot of data.  Yet, it works perfectly on the PC if something's wrong here.  New imac so it's not a power issue.  I tried another mac as well if it's not a bad computer.  Folio Builder will work if I drop all but a few States of the objects even though it still takes much more long to run that he made on the PC.  I tried to change the type of default image to PDF instead of png and got the same problem.

  Looking for clues here.

  There is no reason I can think of to move these files. You can do ANYTHING on a machine right Windows until the creation and submission of the application.

  The folio can be created on the Windows machine. I do it myself.
