Problem importing .mov

I bought a video (no audio) with a provider of web and file is a .mov format. It plays fine in Windows Media Player. When I try to import it into PE7 using add media file selection window will not display even the .mov file. It does not appear a file that is visible with windows Explorer.

Although it works best with MPEG and AVI files, you might want to look at your file into G-Spot to get his estate and the CODEC. If this does not work, open the file in QT player and press Ctrl-j (I think it works for the regular and the Pro version), to see the properties.

I'm with Steve, because the MOV should not play in WMP.

Good luck

    Thanks for the help.

You have another program that allows to encode videos in FLV or MP4 format before put you in presenter? I never found the presenter conversion tool, terribly useful. Maybe it's the loss of control, but I'd rather have more options than the low, medium and high converting my videos.

If the videos are converted elsewhere, then it will remove the converter in presenter of the process and must work around this problem.

  • problem: import the image sequence into adobe media encoder

    Hello

have a problem with adobe media encoder CS6, change the display Format to 25 time frame in the preferences of media coder, I import a series of TGA (170 images) to media encoder in an image file TGA sequence, the series generated from 3D applications Max and ToonBoom, specification of TGA series 1080 50i "1920 X 1080 - high filed - 25 frames per second. When I import the sequence, encode media recognize the sequence as 1920 X 1080 - progressive - 29.97 FPS, to interpret the window images options I change the settings of the upper sequence deposited - 25 fps, and I export to quicktime mov 1920 X 1080 - class top - 25 fps uncompressed

    the problem:

mov file is 06:20 and it is right for the 170 25 fps calendar but mov file does not contain the tga series image, image freeze in time code 05:16 (number 142 of the framework) and duplicate the 142 image to the rest of the video file

If I do not change the pace to interpret the window options images for the tga sequence what media encoder recognizes as 29.97 FPS mov file contain all TGA images, but with a duration of 05:16 which not 25 fps

in adobe media encoder CS5.5 I don't get this problem at all

    1. How do I solve this problem?

    2. how to force CS6 adobe media encoder to recognize the image sequence imported as rate of 25 fps?

"Film" is finally fixed in November 2013 video updates of creative cloud. If your version of Premiere Pro and SOUL is or more 7.1.0 everything should work as expected. But don't forget to actually perform "Film" on your source in first Pro CC or CC SOUL that, otherwise your sequence of images will continue to be interpreted as 29.97 FPS by default.

I have problems importing XAVC-L mfx files in my calendar.

When I drag them in my calendar of the Projectwindow (imported via mediabrowser) he hangs out only the audiotracks on the timeline, no video.

in the sourcemonitor, I see the videotrack.

    any suggestions to fix this?

everything is ok, in the determination of the DaVinco, it works very well.

Cool! Good news. I was able to reproduce it and immediately knew why you experience this problem when it imported into Flash. The original image (which is optimal btw) is pretty small scale. So I have it furred about 3 x in the file, saved and then imported into Flash again. The lines look much much better. Flash is not only to make the curves as well when they are really small.

  • Will not import MOV. WAV. file format, says unsupported file format

My Premiere Pro will not import any of my files, AFAIK. one day it was working fine, the other just to stop. These are the same file formats, I've used it before and worked fine. When I try to import MOV. the files that I turned on my Canon Rebel it tells me the file format is not supported. I have the codec for the format and imported this format before. As far as I know he does this with all file formats. Im a bit stuck.

    OK last resort:

Restart the computer, while opening the first press alt + shift.

If who disobeys, I think re - install is the next step (including using cleaning tool).

  • Problem importing sequences in AE CS5.5

I'm having problems importanting "avi" video of my Vado HD in AE CS5.5 - playback of videos very well in Windows Media Player, but when they are imported into After Effects the clip is grey and only the audio track is available. I do not understand the problem because the codec must be installed for the Media Player read the files and I checked this by loading the film into GSpot with this result: Codec H264. The name of H.264/MPEG-4 AVC. Installed. Really hope someone can help me with this.

I think you might be out of luck on this one... It is flavor H.264 hardware acceleration, intel, that AE has obviously never been decoded. I checked on CS3. There might be some active DLL, you can install intel themselves who can solve the problem, but I could not find in the shortness of the time. So that leaves a lot of external conversion as your only option. After passing through one of the tools, I mentioned it opens fine in AE...

  • Problem importing mpeg in windows movie maker 6

    Hello
I know that this seems to be a repetitive theme but this is: my windows Movie Maker 6 in my laptop computer won't import mpeg (I use vista)... my WMM on my machine from office at will (I use XP)

Here's the story; I have a canon vixia HF11 which gives me "m2ts" files that used import into WMM... so I found a cheat... I just change the file ext 'MPEG' and that it is important to the former WMM (XP). These "MPEG" do change well in the WMM so I convert them to wmv for editing as I want.

When I do the same thing on the laptop (vista) the 'new' mpeg file will not import to the WMM as it does on the XP machine. (However, it will play in windows media player)

the bottom line: is there a way to make the most recent WMM do the same thing as the old?

If not, is there a simple free converter that will convert my files "m2ts" to something that will work in the most recent WMM?... I already spent a lot of money on this machine and I just want something simple.

any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

Thanks for the help that is going

Now, I know the problem is the movie maker (version 6) itself. After doing a little more looking around, I discovered that if I install wmm 2.6 (which was made for vista machines that could not handle wmm 6. I did it and everything works fine now. apparently the wmm 6 (vista) does not have certain things the same as the older 2.1 (XP).)

I'm in place and Rollin' now! Thanks again!

made a dvd with windows movie maker home but now I want to change it, it is possible to re - import into windows movie maker on the dvd that I did?

    =====================================
DVD files you need for editing are the
. VOB files. Copy them to a folder on your hard drive
drive. You can find them on the DVD in the VIDEO_TS
    folder.

First... just try to rename one of the. VOB files to
. MPG and see if it will matter in Movie Maker.
If import works... drag the file to the timeline and
Economy/publication it to .wmv or .avi format. Then...
Re - import new video film for editing purposes.

If this does not work... rename the file back to VOB and try
convert the .wmv or .avi file using the following
    free Converter:

    SUPER © Simplified
    Universal Player Encoder & Renderer
    http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Super
(the download mirror site is faster)

(FWIW... it is always a good practice to create one)
System restore point before installing new software)

After installing the program GREAT... open...
you will see two small circles at the top left
corner of the screen... check the UPPER circle.

Now... Drag/Drop your. VOB files in the current field.

    Output container... Choose wmv...

Video scale size / no change

    Left, click the Encode button.

Choice: A Simple Profile / OK...

    Wait...

(FWIW... I have better luck with video if I'm not
try to multi-task while a file is being converted)

When the file is converted, you should find it in...
Program Files / eRightSoft / Super / exit.

Or... you can type... CTRL + T.. o open the Save
Window and choose a backup folder.

  • Problem importing dvd files great family movie in one file

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

    RememberI am trying to record a dvd with several films at home on this topic (many small files<1 gig)onto="" an="" external="" hard="" drive.="" i="" would="" like="" to="" store="" the="" content="" of="" the="" entire="" dvd="" as="" one="" large="" file="" (about="" 3.2="" gigs).="" however,="" everytime="" i="" try="" to="" do="" it,="" windows="" automatically="" breaks="" the="" files="" up="" into="" 4="" smaller="" files="" (around="" 1="" gig="" each).="" is="" there="" a="" setting="" that="" i="" can="" adjust="" in="" order="" to="" load="" the="" entire="" dvd="" onto="" an="" external="" hard="" drive="" as="" 1="" file?-="" this="" is="" a="" public="" forum="" so="" never="" post="" private="" information="" such="" as="" email="" or="" phone="">

First of all, I am intrigued, reason for which you want to create a single large video file into smaller files make it easier when it comes to video editing. If you want to create the backup, it is another matter, but the files are still separated.

This comment, please describe the tool/utility that you use to merge the small files in a large. I suspect that it is a form of video/DVD editor?
Note that the VOB (on DVD) files have a specification to keep up to approximately 1 GB maximum file size and maybe it's what you're watching?

The other important thing, it's how your external hard drive is formatted? FAT32? NTFS?

There are a few important unknowns and provide more information to get more help.

Just in case this applies to you, if you want to save a whole DVD, what you should look for is tools to convert DVD to ISO format files (so that you can always get back them on DVD) or possibly WinZip archive (I have not tested it for restoration to DVD media).

    I hope this helps.

  • Off space... problem resolution .mov imported work?

    Hi all

I have a .mov that was shot on a Panasonic P2 (720 x 480 widescreen hurry... SD, 480i) and ingested by using the logging/transfer in Final Cut 7.  Looks a lot like the PCF.  When I take this same source footage and put in AE 5.5, it looks blurry and the gamma is disabled, it seems (to me) more pregressive only interlaced and very noisy (grainy) and it's a proxy video... not a full resolution.

    Always drawn comparisons:

    Original1.jpgAE1.jpg

    Original.jpgAE.jpg

Images on the left are the original .mov file... and on the right are what they look like in AE when placed in a model of the same size as the images.  No effect or whatever it is.  You can see how the bulb has the effect of stairs and is blurred, and the face of the man in AE is washed out and grainy... like the difference between interlaced and progressive.  Hope that I describe it so that you can understand.  And when I do a RAM Preview, it seems just as bad.  Even when I made using Animation without loss, when I report FCP, it seems so totally different than the rest of the video.

Project properties: 8 bits per channel, color management off

Model of settings: preset DV NTSC widescreen (720 x 480, BY: D1/DV NTSC widescreen [1.21])

If I change workspace in the project properties for SDTV NTSC and check the "Match Legacy after effects QuickTime Gamma adjustments", the gamma looks a little better, but it seems not even as good as the original .mov... still the effects of staircase on the bulb, and it seems gradual rather than interlaced... which would be fine if the rest of the video is not interlaced.

When I create animated graphic with the same project properties and parameters of the model, everything seems perfect.  It's a matter of workspace, and how to solve?

    Thanks in advance.

    Jonathan

The next thought that comes to mind is a matter of field.  The film must be interpreted and rendered as well as lower field first.

  • No sound on the imported .mov files

Since WMP on Vista does not recognize the .mov file formats I had Dell technical support install pack of 495 s K-lite codec. Now I can open and read files .mov (imported from a digital camera KODAK Z710), but there is no sound. The speakers are very well, all the other videos from the internet do not have an audio problem, nor play CD and DVD have audio problems. Only files .mov that came from my camera do not play sound. Dell support diagnosed my computer and it works perfectly diagnosed. They said that it is a problem of 3rd party. I spoke in support of KODAK, but they can not help me with a computer problem. BTW, his play on the camera itself.
I am at a loss. I have been around surfing the net for hours and hours, but did not finde any solution, just many similar problems.
Nobody knows how to solve this problem without me needing a degree in computer science? Thank you.

Windows Media Player is not a good choice to play .mov files.

.mov is the Apple QuickTime format... so would be the best player
Apple Quick Time player being... I suspect a copy provided with your
    camera.

The free VLC Media Player can also be worth a try.

    VLC Media Player
    http://www.videolan.org/

Best bet IMHO... convert the .mov to .avi using the free Panzera
MOV to AVI. Then you can read the files in most of the media
Player and if you ever decide to use Movie Maker, they'll work here
    also.

Pazera Free MOV to AVI Converter

After you download... Open the program...
    (no installation required)

Drag and drop one or several .mov files...

    Choose an output directory...

Select... WMV AVI - Video Codec - version 1 (WMP 7)...
