  I recently got a thinkpad IBM with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

  We have a HP Laserjet 3015 which is shared on the windows xp professional computer.  I can't install on my computer. If I connect the printer to my computer via the USB port, windows find the drivers and it works.

  The problem is when I try and insatll it on the network it doesn't. I can search and find a computer to which it is attached, and see it in the list of shared printers, but when I ever I try to connect it says connection > > search on windows update > > can't find drivers. It gives me the opportunity to find the drivers to install. I downloaded the drivers on the HP site, but they do not help. whenever I select them in the manual it comes with an error indicating that the driver is not found then give u the option to install it yourself. When you select the driver it says windows cannot find an appropriate driver.

  How can I get around this?

  I have a printer HP Officejet 5610 printer I used quite happy with my new HP laptop which came with Windows 8, and then on the advice, I've upgraded to 8.1 Win.  Use this combo since February this year with no problems.

  This morning running the printer and started getting printer 'offline' when attampting to print.  Tried troubleshooting by using HP Web sites (including this forum where I found a thread about the mistake of the printer 'offline').  The final recommendation recommended re - install tried as long as.   It appears the togo through the uninstall & then install for this printer, but after a long while I get an error message telling me "fatal error." and the installation is aborted (i.e. reversed out)

  Are leaning on what is still connected to my laptop and, curiously, the fax for this printer is listed but not the printer.

  Don't know if this can help, but the HP error log...

  Welcome to the HP Forums.

  I see you have some connectivity issues when you try to print from your computer Windows 8.1 update.

  I have some suggestions that in order to solve this problem, we can try.

  Click on the first link which explains the uninstall of the printer software.  Windows 8.1 is NOT listed in the instructions, but the instructions of Windows 8 will work the same way.

  Software has been removed, restart the computer.  When the computer is back up and running, please do a search for the fax and the printer and make sure that everything has been removed.

  The next step would be to reinstall the software and drivers. Click on the following link for HP Deskjet and Officejet full feature software and drivers.  Save the download on your computer desktop so it creates it's own icon.  This will make it easy to find download.  Double-click on the icon and follow the installation instructions.

  I installed upd pcl5 - x 64 - 5.9.0.18326.exe that has worked before on 7 & 10 64-bit Windows. Now, I get that the printer is in an error state or the printing error on HP LaserJet 4050 Series.   It wasn't a specific problem of the B110! The problem is a corrupted system file which I fixed it with sfc/scannow! :-)

  You can try a solution that worked before on S2k3.  Try this on affected systems:

  1. click on START
  2 type "notepad" (without the quotes) and press enter
  3 copy and paste the following text in Notepad:

  LETTER
  CD %windir%\system32\wbem
  Mofcomp.exe cimwin32.mof
  Regsvr32 /s wbemupgd.dll
  Regsvr32 /s wbemsvc.dll
  Wmiprvse/regserver

  4. click on file > save as
  5. change the drop-down list (file type) to "all files".
  6. name the file sqlfix.bat, and then save it to your desktop
  7. from there, right-click on the file and choose "Run as Administrator". If it works that way, you can also open it WITHOUT choosing run as administrator and see what happens.

  8. now try to install SQL 2 k 5

  I recently reinstalled my dad's computer. Earlier there was Windows 7, now it has updated to 8.1. The printer and scanner function worked correctly before, but now only the printer works. It was plugged during the installation of the OS and the printer has been recognized correctly, but when I tried to install the driver freshly downloaded from the HP support page, it stopped at one point and asked me to connect the unit via USB.   Please take a look at the Device Manager and the HP Installer, what specific model you see in the Device Manager while plugging the USB? (HP Officejet 4500a - f / HP Officejet 4500g - m / HP Officejet 4500n-z)?

  at the top of the HP install window you will find the same exact model (including the second characthers), or there might be a difference that indicate use of the wrong driver?

  Please let me know the results if there is a difference please let me know the exact model as shown in Device Manager, so I can point you to more the correct driver.
