  I have a problem with the wifi since I've upgraded to 8.1 Windows

  I have attached a photo [attached at the bottom] and shows who is connected to my bt - hub and show a different network below and sometimes it shows a third network try to connect as.

  I know, there should be only a single network to connect wireless too and not 2 it looks, it tries to connect to the local network too.

  What happens is it stops working internet and then I have to solve the problems to bring it back and sometimes I have to restart the laptop.

  If you are able to boot to the desktop, the steps below:

  1. note the updates listed in the updated view. Steps to follow:

  b. click on windows Update

  c. click view update history

  2. then download the stand-alone package updates. You can download the stand-alone version of the link with the number of KB below:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads and check if the problem is resolved.

  Make sure that you reset the computer in normal mode (you can see step 7)

  I wonder if anyone has met, or heard of this problem.

  I have a laptop Acer Aspire 5745 w / 640GB HDD and 8 GB of memory running with Win 7 Home. I have about 3 years.

  A year or 2 there, he began to develop a market problem. I noticed that most of the cooler mornings (tendency to heat my house more than necessary). Sometimes, it makes the power of Win 7 on screen (Windows 7 and swirling colors, creating a window) and stop somewhere along the way. Other times it cannot even do it in front of the Acer splash screen. Sometimes it will go to full boot (Windows desktop) only to hang. I might have to restart the machine more than a few times to market. However, once I turned it completely, I can turn it off and restart without any problem.

  I reinstall the HARD drive and thought it helped, but only for a bit. The problem comes back. Battery seems to be in good shape.

  One thing I noticed this morning, is that if I unplug the PS, the computer started fine. I still need to do some additional tests to confirm or deny this... but it was a discovery of new and interesting.

  I read in some places that the PS/charger can be a source of such problems.

  Any idea or feedback is greatly appreciated.

  Yes, it sounds as if the charger is at fault. If she starts & runs fine on battery - it's the only thing she could be!

  Buy a replacement charger - one who gives the same output/input as the existing one, then this should solve your problems!

  You can check the time zone is set correctly in the control panel.  If it is checjking against the internet shows that this would cause the problem.

  My audio does not work so I tried to troubleshoot it. The convenience store said that it "might be a problem with my audio device" and that "material changes may not have been detected. I have not tried fix stakeholders or download new drivers. I've had this computer for about two weeks. This is the second time this has happened and it's completely leave out of the blue. The computer says the sound is cut off, but I can't activate it using either the keyboard or clicking the volume control on the taskbar. Any suggestions to solve this?

  Try the following.

  Download the Realtek Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  Realtek HD Audio Driver.

  One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the Realtek device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  When you're done, shut down the laptop by holding down the key SHIFT left click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.

  Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

  Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

  Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the installation of Realtek Audio program and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  Left click 'Speakers and headphones' (or speakers/HP) once to highlight and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.
