• Problems with adjustment layer masks

• Problem with the levels in PSE7 adjustment layer

  I have a problem with the levels adjustment layer in PSE 7.0. I made this photo that shows exactly as I want it in PSD format, but when I save it in JPG format all adjustment layers are lost. I tried to get the same result by using simple Enhance > > adjustments > > levels, but I cannot get the same result with the same settings as with the adjustment layer.

  How can I solve this?

  I saw in a tutorial that might help add a new layer above the layer of setting and then merge visible layers, but it does not work either.

  It seems that the problem is that your image size is big enough in comparison to the size of your available screen and you make your settings at roughly 18% view.

  Photoshop elements uses interpolation to show the images on the screen, so you can't really see exactly the result unless you view an image at 100% display (actual pixels)

  If you try to do the steps from the beginning with your image at 100% view, does make a difference?

  (Double-click on the Zoom tool in the Toolbox for 100% view (actual pixels))

• Problems with changing/deleting of an adjustment layer

  First post here and I'm going a little crazy!  I use the latest version of CS5.

  I have some photos that I am currently having my subjects in color with the rest of the image in black and white.  This is a common trend, I do it with a lot of my photos, but for some reason I can't seem to remove the selected area, I created with the Quick Selection tool or the lasso tool.

  For you show how I always have done:

  I opened the image (these are jpg files) - the background layer is in color

  I add a hue/saturation adjustment layer.

  I adjust the saturation of the black and white layer.

  In general, I use the quick selection tool to highlight my topic, I want to be in color.

  When the subject is completely highlighted, I click on 'remove' and I see in the layer mask, the selected area black and my topic is the color of the background layer.

  I started to do that today and went through a handful of JPEG images using this same method, but now all of a sudden I try and do it, but when I click DELETE nothing happens and the layer mask is totally white without any modification whatsoever.

  Please please please help.  I have no idea why this method just stopped working all of a sudden.  I keep looking on Google to find similar problems, but does not.

  Maybe your background color is not black.

• PROBLEM OF TRACKING MOVEMENT WITH THE ADJUSTMENT LAYER

  I'm trying to fade a logo on a shoe, but I have some difficulty to get the tracker to stick on the logo.  Can someone help me, please.  Here are the steps I took:

  1. I used Tracker to follow a logo I want to fade.

  2. after the analysis of the layer, I went back to check the anchor the anchor is perfectly centered on the logo on each image frame by frame.

  3. then I added an adjustment layer and used the pick whip to ensure that the position of the adjustment layer is the same that the position of the tie of the tracker.

  4. on the adjustment layer, I created an ellipse mask, apply a Gaussian blur.  But when I read, the mask of the ellipse is all over the place and don't stick to the logo.

  To start, I always apply tracking to a null data, then parent set to null for layers that must follow the trail.

  Make sure that you have chosen the right target. Make sure that you chose the right options. You should use Transform like track type. You must also do a quick search on Google. There are a lot of tutorials out there for follow-up.

  If your null value follows the object, then you can parent the null value adjustment layer. That should do it.

  The modules work perfectly in Safe Mode BUT not when I do a clean reboot.

  I also did the following:

  Creates a new user

  Run FIXIT

  SFC/SCANNOW

  Uninstalled and re installed Photoshop CC

  Uninstalled and re installed Driver Nvidia

  Restored to the old NVIDIA driver

  Uninstalled all drivers (Wacom tablet & external HD)

  There were also times that I could not get into the event viewer (this message appeared "Microsoft Management Console has stopped working")

• Cross dissolve on adjustment layer above clips main sends all black

  I don't think that I had a problem with it before, but now when I add a layer of setting above the main clip and add a cross dissolve, transitions starts from black. Example screenshot below. If I do the same thing with a title or another video, the transition appears as you would expect (i.e. more melted the clip below).

  I tested the project here.  The AL works very well at the 3:50 mark.  I clearly see the changes when I turn the power on and off layer.

  So I think that there is nothing wrong with the project itself, rather than the problem may lie with your system.

  You do nothing wrong. Unfortunately, it's just how adjustment layers work when you try to fade in or out of them. This is something that needs to be changed, and if you submit a feature request you will add your voice to the many others (including me) who asked this. Most people who ask the same features, more chances are that demand will make its way to the top of the priority list.

• Adjustment layer using only colors?

  I encountered a problem with the help of an adjustment layer. I created a curves adjustment layer and set it so that I can get a job shadow in however once I started drawing it only carried out certain colors (even if they are in the same layer) I tried everything I can think and can't get anything to change my top layer. Does anyone know why it would be as selective on what colors it is perform?

• Masking of the scale on the adjustment layer issues

  Hi all

  First of all I'm new to Premiere Pro. but I ran into a few problems that resemble bugs for me.  But if someone can put me right I would appreciate it.

  For example, I have a static image on a layer, revised downward to more small as the size of the total composition.

  I have an adjustment layer on it with an opacity mask, subtract blending mode, reversed.  The resulting crop all away from my picture out of the mask.  So far so good.

  If I then add keyframes to the scale of my image, I get a zoom effect, while the size of the image is the same (the size of my mask), that's what I want to achieve...

  However, a further review, there is a very faint line that shows outside of the mask, expanding outwards, which seems to be the contours of the image unmasked.  :-(  That is the number 1 issue.

  If I also add keyframes for opacity on the image, at the same time, I have a weird effect, almost as if the mask is ignored, because the image grows and becomes more opaque, but then finally catches up with the mask.  Almost as if, opacity, scale, and hide is just too much for the program to process.

  I tried rendering the project, but both of these issues show on the finished film.

  While experimenting with ideas to try to overcome the problem I also tried the feathers at the edge of the image... but giving still more bizarre results, with the edge to feathers, showing outside the masked area.

  Suggestions as to how I can get the result of desire would be appreciated.  (Who is to have an image, most smaller than the whole of the composition, but that remains the same size, zooms.  I would also like to be able to fade in).

  Whenever I have similar problems, they are usually resolved by nesting the clips to force the order of effects.

• Small white dots on the adjustment layer.

  Starting from 23/11/2015, I had a problem using the curves adjustment layer.  When I invert the layer and then use a brush to paint where I want the layer to show, it gives me little white dots everywhere.  Does anyone else have this problem.
