Problem of annoying keyboard typing wrong characters

Sometimes when typing my email address instead of the ' @' sign contained a double ' sign appears and it is impossible to get my keyboard to give me the correct sign. I tried to turn the caps on and then turn off; using the SHIFT key. and many other hit but have to close on the web, in total, which is frustrating to say the least. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution? Thanks for your help

This is the region for the keyboard setting and has nothing to do with the shift keys.

The "key and the @ key are in different positions in different international keyboards."  Similarly, the result of the use of shift with the 3 button gives different results in different regions.

The solution is simple and is also easy.  Just follow the steps precisely.

Control Panel, tab language, region, keyboard & languages, change keyboards, services installed, select the keyboard so that the word "keyboard" is highlighted, click on Add..., find the country the keyboard was bought for, expand the list, so you can see check boxes of the options available, tick one of these boxes.  Press OK. Now select the unwanted country setting that was in the list before hand and remove [you could not do this before or you would have nothing to say the keyboard how to behave while you were doing the rest of the procedure].  Press OK twice.

Comprehensive work.

To resolve this problem, I come to your regional language settings in the control panel and the switch instead really live you (UK or US).

  • Keyboard displays wrong characters

Just bought a Pavilion 15-e045sa.  It was fine at first, but now when I type in the keyboard I get 3rd. It looks like with all the characters of the top line:

    • e 3F
    • r 4r
    • t t5fv

I have already restored the computer laptop back to factory settings, updated the BIOS and checked the usual regional settings etc.  What else is there to do?

    Hello OldBooty,

Welcome to the HP Forums and I hope you enjoy your stay!

I understand that the keyboard will be seized of the wrong characters when you press some keys. I'll do what I can to enlighten you on this issue.

My information is based on what you gave me, more precisely, that:

    • e 3F
    • r 4r
    • t t5fv

Regarding the first two keys, the extra button that appears is the key top. The third key does the same thing, but includes also two keys below. I was able to look at the keyboard of this computer to examine the issue. Unfortunately, it is a hardware problem and the computer must be repaired. As it should be in the warranty, please contact HP phone support to do this. You can use this Web site for information about how to contact HP properly, based on your region: Contact HP worldwide

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

Original title: Getting irritated by symbols

When I type a few symbols, such as the double rating mark("), single quote ('), apostrophe (') or CAP (^), these symbols will appear once I get home the next symbol or letter. For example, if I write 'Hello', first double quote appears after I enter the letter H, and the second citation appears after clicking on the comma. And how it works on all programs, where I can write (notebook, desktop, browsers, etc.). Is it possible to change this strange behavior? I am using Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 and wireless keyboard.

You use the software keyboard called "United States International." Go to control panel | Region and language and click the keyboards and languages tab. Then click on change keyboard and change in the United States.

  • Alphabet key on my keyboard, typing special characters

Hi, I wanted to ask you if you know about this feature, because it does not work on my PC, but I don't want it.

When I want to write "" a "I need to press ['] [space] [a], and at least that I do not support on the space between the two I'm 'a'."

Similar occurs with other characters. For example, I can get u, a, o, o, u, etc... But I don't want that, I just want to do what I'm typing. Another thing I noticed, is that it doesn't when I switch to the Serbian keyboard (Latin or Cyrillic).

So, I would like to stop, but I don't know what to look for. This does not happen on my other PC. Yet, even if that happens any more after that I restarted the PC, it would be interesting to find out how to enable or disable this feature. Although I don't mind, it can be useful.

ADDED: I would also say that is happening everywhere in Windows - based 2007 Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, and Skype, in the field of research programs and files on the start menu and to rename files and folder.

    Thanks for your reply, Shivam!

    1. I don't remember making any changes... I have the same desire when I accidentally something press keyboard and I do not know what I pressed.
    2. About my PC, I cannot say anything meaningful, because it is not a particular model, and I also changed some components on that. Right now it's a relatively new installation of Windows 7 (a few weeks or more).

Now, I managed to bring it back to what it was, and I have no idea what is the thing that solved my problem. Unfortunately, in Control Panel , I did not find language as you suggested, I found region and language, and from there, I went to the keyboard and languages, where I clicked on change keyboards... The only change that I remember now is that I had of the English (United States - International), and now I have chosen EFrench (U.S. ) ). It is very likely that I also changed some other settings, but I don't know what exactly does the job.

It is an interesting option for someone who needs to write something in a foreign language, that I didn't need.

Thanks for your help. I wish I could tell some information on what I was doing before this problem, and what exactly I did to bring it back to what it was.

    Kind regards!

    Hello

sounds like a serious problem of material. You can try the following command to check if just the internal keyboard making trouble or your machine is defective: it just connect an external keyboard (ps2 or usb) and check if you got the same error.

But these days you have to bring your machine to a service partner chartered local for a checkup of material because I think that your keyboard is faulty and that the hardware components of your machine must be checked.

Point of here´s a link to find the nearest repairer:

    • First of all, it looks like a possible hardware problem with the computer. Please perform a hard reset. Steps: Turn off the computer and unplug the charger. Then remove the battery only if it is removable.
    • Press and hold the power button on the unit for 15 seconds to carry out the static electrical charges inside the machine.
    • Replace the battery and the charger plug it back.
    • Turn off the device. When you turn it upwards, immediately press the F11 key slowly several times.
    • Need you to Recovery Manager. Here, choose the option "troubleshooting." Then, please select 'Advanced Options' and 'command prompt '.
    • Type all of the characters in the keyboard in this mostly black window keys that do not work properly.
    • If F11 no transports you to the Recovery Manager, please keep hit the "ESC" gently several times the moment you turn on the unit. It takes you to the start menu and you could press F11 from there to go to the Recovery Manager. Please check all the keys in the window command prompt black, especially the keys that do not work.

  • Keyboard typing extra character

Recently, I have a weird problem with the keyboard. When I type the letters like 'v', 'b', "n" and "m", I get an extra character attached to it automatically. For example if I type 'b' the screen type "vb" or "bv". If I type 'v' then screen type "vb" or "bv". Goes the same for the letters "n" and "m". Something that I'm typing I'd get "nm" or "min." This causes problem for me that my few accounts is getting blocked because of incorrect password.

If I restart my machine, the problem seems to be resolved for some time, but suddenly then he worked he start coming again. Is there any solution for this?
Recently I installed the new edition of Windows 7 Ultimate on my Dell Inspiron 1545.
Note: I am typing this query of the same laptop, but until that moment, that I don't get any extra Charter printed when I type "b", "v", "n" or "m". More important still, is happening now with only those 4 letters.
    Any advise?
    Thanks in advance,

Looks like you may have something stuck in your keyboard. Try turning upside and it blow. Do a Google search on how to remove the keyboard and clean under them safely. If a can of compressed air can often be used effectively.

  • Strange problem with the keyboard

    Hello.
I have problem with my keyboard. It works with delays. I don't know how to fix it.

    Hello

What do you mean by working with delays?
As far as I know, you can change the keyboard settings in the keyboard properties.
Also, if you think that it s not a fault or parameters of software problem but hardware malfunction, you can try to contact the service agent.
But before you contact the ASP you should recover the operating system.
