Problem of application using Push battery drain

Hello

I use push via BIS connection and have an another entry point to manage events to push (the same sample application Blackberry Ant provides). But I need to display popup dialog box whenever I get a push notification, this is why I use the dispatcher lock and event with the other entry point.

But by using the dispatcher of events with the other entry point my other app continues to run even if it does not receive push messages (I checked the background apps and it showed my replacement), which is causing the battery to drain. Does anyone have an alternative solution or better suggestion for this problem.

Kind regards

gmuhammad.

You must use the Application instead of the UIApplication class if you want to display popup windows, dialog or background boxes.

  • Problem running application using odeoslver in Mathscript

    Nice day.

So, my goal is to create a Labview application (which will be used for the other computer) which allows me to run mathscript code which turns into a calls a function to solve a problem of ode.

I don't understand why it does not work... I use the "current directory" function to see where Labview is in charge of the search for the function and I introduce later in this directory (manually).

The application returns the paths, but returns no results in addition to those...

The program works great when I use it in the application...

The script function is presented as an image.

    Thanks in advance...

My app works on a Curve 8900 with os 4.6.1.310

My application for the battery drain did nothing more than before draining. The app has no timer and I just created a new record in RMS at 21:11 and then the battery drain started (I don't have touch the device more after that).

Maybe I use a lot of memory but battery never drain start at the same time and memory seems OK and no different than when it does not drain the battery.

There is no MemoryLeak because after the Garbage collector, I have the same amount of memory.

Is there a mechanism that can work when there is problem of memory like GarbageCollector in the BONE, or maybe that's not a problem of memory, which could drain the battery like that? There is nothing strange in the event log.

How can I get more information such as CPU, or anything else that can help me determine what is happen.

I can't reproduce the problem when I want and not on all my devices. We have change the levels is not a battery problem.

The device is connected to a BES and I disable memorycleaner, wifi, bluetooth, otasync, etc.

I tried with display of genius, but I wasn't able to watch it for the battery drain...

I am really lost and don't know what is coming...

    Please help me

I just found the cause of the problem, this is a loop of paint on a form that contains a custom textfield who painted it is own container which repainted the textfield itself, etc.
I solved the problem with JDE 5.0 and its view of CPU that helps me detect this problem.
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi lil_deville

Sorry for the problem you are having but battery draining depends on the user how he uses his aircraft, assumed that if you leave the Application running in the background or wi - fi open left consumes a lot of battery.

Please press on and press and hold the Menu for a few seconds, it will appear a screen that will display all the programs running in the background, usually five will always look here (home, BBM, Message, phone, browser), appropriate to other applications. are running.

  • Battery drains about 10%, while the laptop is turned off

I own a HP Pavilion Notebook PC m6, which is less than a month. Regularly, I charge my laptop at 100% before l ' switch off before unplugging. When I turn it back on (between 12 and 17 hours later), the battery has been drained with no provocation. What is a normal battery loss? If not, is it possible to stop this discharge? This laptop would lose so much energy in the first two weeks, when I've owned.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry PRIV battery drain & heating problem

    Hello Blackberry, team

I bought PRIVATE released last week from classic BB. PRIV has severe heating and battery especially drainage problem while loading and between 100% and 40% of battery (drains 60%) in 1-2 hours.

Note that I do not use heavy duty applications and it heats up even when kept or wait (especially during loading).

My Apps are up to date

Operating system is up to date

I have restored several times, but still have the same question (even if no other apps are installed).

Question: Is it a solution to this? BlackBerry is working on it or just forget it and move on to other brands?

Finally and above all, I'm on Blackberry for the past 12 years... I really hope they take their clients seriously around the world.

    Hey parthz8,

Sometimes it happened while the load when I got 5.1.1 but now with Android M 6.0 seems to be fixed.

What I was doing when it was happening, it is to reset the phone with the power button for 10 seconds while it was still connected to the charger. Sometimes a couple of reset is necessary

  • BlackBerry Smartphones "BOLD" battery draining - overheating problems

    Hi all

I'm new here I have BlackBerry for almost 2 years (curve 3000) and I was really happy with it (no problems) then I bought "BOLD" Saturday and has exhausted the battery - overheating problems! I downloaded the new software from T-Mobile Croatia site (they have one last but which did not help) after recharging and stay all night, he went flat within 6-7 hours so I went today (Monday) and they swapped the device for me, now I'm waiting to see what will happen. I have 4 questions:

1 can I download new software version of the device from the BlackBerry site that even I bought in Croatia from T-Mobile and which will have consequences on the device? If yes what are they?

    2. what causes this battery drain - overheating problems and how they can be stopped?

    3. is Facebook app in conflict with "BOLD"? Yes I have it on mine.

4 are all the other apps in conflict with it, i.e. Windows Live Messenger because I have too much that one on it?

    Thanks in advance!

    1. no consequence... the latest version of the "BOLD" OS device is located here:

    http://www.BlackBerryForums.com/General-9000-series-discussion-bold/194263-OS-9000-bold-4-6-0-477-4-...

2 could be a number of issues, several. You have 3G enabled on your "BOLD", on the one hand, (manage connections > Mobile Network Options?, and you have a 3 G with Tmobile Croatia network?) I know not flippant, you could ask that. If your device is constantly looking for a 3 G network and not finding what will cause the big battery drain.

Check your applications running in the background. There are usually four or five applications that will be always running (Messages, Call Logs/phone, BlackBerry Messenger, home screen and the browser; there are others such as BeamBerry and alarms which will run also). Ensure that the browser is NOT on an active Web page (must return the bookmarks page only). Close all other applications that do not need to be running (the camera or a game you were playing or Google Maps).

3 No.The FB app is developed by RIM.

    4. What do you mean 'in conflict '?

  • Problems with the battery drain on iPhone 6

Hello! This is my first time posting but I had some problems lately with my iPhone while keeping a charge.

So, this has started to happen a month ago (exactly one year after I bought my iPhone) and my battery drains just exponentially and evacuates it sometimes when I'm not using it and the internet is not on. For example I'll fully my phone until I fall asleep and I'll put it on airplane mode before going to sleep. By the time I wake up, the battery will be down to 60%. I do not use it during this time, I don't get notifications because all data and the internet is disabled. I do not understand why it is empty.

Anyway, I've taken to the Apple store Genius bar twice now and they have not been able to fix it. They have tried to restore it... I did that before I went to the Apple store, but they decided to do it again and the second time the guy just told me to turn off all the background app refresh or anything I did but it we continue to attract.

When I was at the Apple store, they also checked my battery and everything was normal. I got 100 below the number of average cycles since the age of my phone and the battery was in the green at 94%.

I am really frustrated after two trips to the store person has managed to fix my phone and I have the impression that they will try to coax me to pay for something that won't fix my phone. Also if there is a problem with Apple hardware and nothing of what I've done so why should I pay for it when it started to happen at the level of the one-year mark. It's so boring, but if anyone else has had a similar situation for advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Yes that is exactly what they are trying to avoid. As you explained that you have visited it there twice to attempt to solve this problem, they could have offered to replace your battery for $79 that with your current battery showing 94% of its original capacity, that would not have done much for you at all.

Have you been having problems with the reception of your carrier recently, when all this started happening? Were you see 1 or 2 points of service when you used to see 3 or 4? When you have restored your iPhone, you restore it as a new iPhone or restore a backup top later? Just try to refine some possibilities for the continuous emission.

  • Q10 suddenly blackBerry battery drain problem

Since I bought my Q10 for more than a year he had the good autonomy, almost 2 days; Suddenly, it's 5 or 6 hours.

    OS: 10.2.1.3247

    2 gmail accounts

BBM: use of minor, with small list of contacts

    No games

    Data off

Device monitor, battery: System varies from 40% to 55%; all other apps/tasks 'Idle '.

CPU usage: cyclical Variation, 32 to 50%

The use of WiFi: cyclical Variation, 9 to 12 MB (nearly 600 MB over the last 48 hours?)

I installed "Taskmanager" this morning and it allows to stop four apps; made no difference.

This problem of battery drain started 4 or 5 days ago. So, what could happen? Any suggestions would be welcome; It's very frustrating to have to have a charger at your fingertips at all times.

    Art

It's a few days later, and once again, everything is normal with the battery lasts about two days. The system seems to have been in an endless loop, perhaps having to do with the update of the accounts. Stop all network activity and restart fixed everything that was the problem.

Battery drains quickly, even with all closed applications.  Tried to reinstall the software, restart hard, even by putting

profiles to return to factory settings.  I might just have a bad battery?

Try several batteries, saving tips. First thing I would try is background App Refresh function.
