    Hey Helldiver.

Check if you have the plug-ins installed to support the features of DVDs on your Media Player. Windows Media Player is a complete DVD player when combined with a DVD decoder (MPEG-2 decoder) with features such as full-screen video playback controls, ads chapter DVD and integrated pouch.

If you are running Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows Vista Ultimate, DVD capabilities are included as part of the operating system. If you are running Windows Vista Home Basic, Windows Vista business, or Windows Vista Enterprise, you can enhance your DVD playback experience by purchasing a pack of decoder DVD or upgrade to a more powerful version of Windows Vista.

I have a problem with Windows Media Player on laptop Lenovo G780. My laptop is under warranty (bought a month ago), but technical support Lenovo told me that the Windows Media Player program is not covered by the warranty.

    And this is a problem:

When I click on Windows Media Player - to about 0.1 sec I see it opens and closes the window and nothing happens.

I had the same problem and then by chance, I tried a video on YouTube and it worked for me. Here's how I went on this issue and solved my problem:

    1. go to the computer, then OS (C).
    2. you will need to open Program Files (x 86) and Program Files.
    3. go to Windows Media Player in Program Files (x 86) and open the folder.  Then, remove the wmplayer file.  You may need to work around the error TrustedInstaller.  I'll tell you that, in a moment.
    4. in Program Files, go to the same folder for Windows Media Player and select the same file again. Wmplayer.  Copy the file in another window open.  Copy ensures that if the question comes up again you can at least try to fix it again.
This should be the end of your problem.  If you need to circumvent the TrustedInstaller question is how:
    1. right click on wmplayer and select Properties > Security > advanced > owner > Edit > other users and groups.
    2. Enter your username and then click on check names.  Click OK.
    3. close the dialog boxes as he has requested.
    4. open again the properties and click Security.  Select your username from the list and click on edit.  From there, select full control.
This should give you full control over the removal of the original file for WMP and easily allow you to copy the other files (x 86) programs.
Please let me know how it goes for your problem.

  • I wonder if anyone is familiar with this type of problem with the help of a Windows Media Player for DVD videos.

    Hello!
I came across a problem with my dvd on my laptop drive. The program that I use on my laptop is Media player from Windows. And the laptop will recognize the DVD and everything, but when it starts to play, it gives me this message from Windows Media Player: "Windows Media Player cannot play video DVDs. You may need to adjust your Windows display settings. Open display settings in Control Panel, and then try to lower your screen resolution and color quality settings. »

Now I always use the old Windows XP for my laptop, but I can't seem to understand how to adjust the color quality and lower my screen resolution. Does anyone have a little step by step process that I could follow to do this?

The problem is that Windows XP does not play DVD movies in native mode. You can
have a DVD player, but it can only read DATA DVD at this time. In the order
install a DVD codec to read video DVD discs. First we will
Install this program from Microsoft and run it, and if you have a DVD
Codec, it will appear in the display window. Download this program from
    here:

If it shows that you don't have a codec DVD installed, then you can
buy one on one of the links on this page:

  • Problem with Windows Media Player Audio sync DivX playback in full screen

    Hello

I have found lately that when playing videos on Windows Media Player divx mode full screen audio is out of sync.  If the video is played in window mode, there is no problem.  I had no such problem in the past, but now for about 1 month or so, I have this problem.

I have fitted iq508a to vista 64-bit, with the latest drivers delivered HP installed (using the HP update utility)-does anyone else have this same problem too?

    Thanks in advance

I can't believe! I solved the problem with this problem of video audio sync during playback in full screen!

While watching the Pineapple Express, I thought WTF I'll take another closer look at this, and while they were smashimg their cell phones so that they could not be found by triangulation, (don't ask - u just I have to watch - stoner movie )...

in any case, I looked under tools options in WMP.  I unchecked the option on the performance tab "use video smoothing"-the video as reloaded and bingo! everything in harmony!

BTW, I checked my another PC running Vista 32 bit and the option ' use video smoothing ' also exists and it is checked if this seems to be a problem with WMP works on Vista 64 bit or running desktop Touchsmart of WMP... In case I am much happier now...

  • What is the problem with my Media Player? He know connect a burner and restart.

Media player, connect a burner and restart.

    Hi grandmomof6,

    1. have you tried to burn a DVD in Windows media (WMP) Player recently, and then the problem started?

    2. what version of WMP is installed on the machine?

Make sure there is no files in Windows Explorer or notification area displays as pending of engraving. If so, delete the cached files, and then try to restart Windows Media Player and check.

    a. open Windows Explorer and right click the CD\DVD drive

    b. click on open and check if you have an option that some files are waiting to burn or write.

    c. If so right click on this option and select Remove.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Dissemination of problems-Church of Media Player will not automatically play more

In the past (3 days ago I also an automatically upgraded to Media Player 11) when I played a broadcast of the Church, he played on media player no delay or anything, now it wll not play automatically. Now I get a pop up asking if I want to download the show (never done that before), when I say yes it takes a long time, after it is downloaded it said: he can't read mp3 or something like that and if I want to open anyway, I say yes, but I get a picture but no sound.  I did the windows fix solution, he said that I had no decoder, so I ordered and downloaded the Corel DVD Xpack now I get no picture just a line grey and not sound, and when I try additional steps I get a still picture and no sound.  So I did the fix it solution now it says something codec, but he did not repair because it finds problems.  Help, please.

    Hello

1, what is the exact error message you get?

I think to read the files, you may need to install the codec supported for your file play on Windows Media Player.

  • Problem back to media player from '' pay play. "

in the search for a specific song on media player I linked to 'payplay', and now I can't open in media player. Only "payplay. How can I get rid of this prayer of the problem.

    Hello Wolf cornish.

    ·        Only the files online open with Payplay or files that are stored on your computer also?

    ·        What happens exactly when you open the media player, it opens Payplay?

It seems that the history of shop Payplay is stored on your computer. When you read a media content to shop online in Windows Media Player, a file history and media information is usually stored on your computer:

Try to delete the history and check if you have the same problem.

    1. in the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Privacy tab.
    2. to remove the existing lists, click clear history. This deletes also all changes you have made to the media information (for example, to change the artist name) for CDs and DVDs.
    3. to avoid lists being stored in the future, clear Save file and history of the URL in the box of the player.
