I am running XP from Microsoft with Outlook 2003

A colleague of mine to buy a blackBerry "BOLD" last week and asked me if I would help set up. I ran the installation disc to install the Desktop Manager so that I could sync the "BOLD" with Outlook 2003 (we do not have an exchange server so I use the BlackBerry redirector). However, when I try to go through the initial sync-> synchronization-> synchronization configuration (button) Setup, just before the menu displays, I get the software Intellisync 'experienced attention. I tried install disk (DM 4.6), installs from the Web of BlackBerry (DM 4.6 and 4.7) site and installs from AT & T (4.6 DM) site and I get the same error.  (NOTE: between each new installation, I did a complete uninstall - remove programs, new edition and deletion of folder of files)

I went through all the posts that seemed even semi-connexes and have not found a solution that works.

Because that, in each a complete uninstall I made, I didn't once a Puma Technologies or input file, I think that my problem lies somewhere with this particular folder/file/program is not installed, but I need help/direction if that is the case.

    Thanks for any help!

So, after trying different configurations, I discovered that my problem is not the "0x3b21" error message, but rather, I tried to do something that I am not set up to do.

When you install the desktop software, I me by selecting the "integrate with work Email" because that's what I wanted to do. integrate with an email account that is already put in place to work. However, I did notice the part of having an exchange server, which we don't have in our company (all of our electronic mail is routed through a mail client based on the web through our ISP).

Finally, I tried the option "Integrate with personal messaging" and low and behold, I was able to sync my calendar, tasks and contacts, without any problem.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to sync my email (which is important), but I will do more research before you start a new thread, because this problem is not applicable to this topic.

  • How do I see what changes, UAC prompts all?

When I run shareware or a program downloaded recently, I worry about what "changes" or UAC is prompting action.

For example: Pixeur selector of color (http://www.veign.com/application.php?appid=107)
I don't expect really a pipette to give me the UAC guests - but it does. However when I look at the UAC dialog for more details, he said only program location - no details about what is tyring to do.
Given that the 'changes' or 'actions' of the program are what UAC alert me, I am concerned and want to know EXACTLY WHAT CHANGES or ACTIONS the program is trying to do, so I can confirm their.
The UAC dialog box does not appear to be any information whatsoever?  I have to guess blindly, without knowing / being able to choose what I agree to?
It's like a legal contract I don't get see first?

We will calm down a bit and consider this:

    • UAC is designed to prevent programs that are not allowed to do risky things behind your back.
    • Attempts to create or modify files in the files system is considered to be risky.
    • It is also risky to attempt to change the registry.
It's as simple as that. If the color of pixeur selector keeps generating warnings of the UAC, then you have three options:
-To obtain a compatible version of Windows 7.
-Check the FAQ to know how to bypass the problem.
    -Disable the UAC (not recommended).

  • Programs endangered after the installation/use when the computer is restarted.

I just got this Acer laptop with Vista Home Basic Edition about 4 weeks ago. For the first two weeks, everything worked well, could download, install and run programs without any problems. However, I now have problems.

I can download, install and run programs, but when I shut down or restart my computer, all recently downloaded programs disappear. When you click on the shortcut, you get the message "the program or file that this shortcut refers has been changed or deleted. When I go into Add/Remove hardware, the program is still there. However, I can't access it or shortcut on the desktop or in the start menu. This is getting extremely frustrating.
The first time this has happened with Firefox. I just uninstalled and started using Google Chrome or IE 7, instead. I have an account with Big Fish Games and was able to download games, that I had bought them without any problem when I got the laptop. However, when I try to download games now, this problem occurs and the program disappears. It is not even appear in Big Fish Games Download Manager where all my other games are stored.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I have solved this problem. I disabled UAC control and then restarted the computer. The last downloaded program is still there (downloaded at three points as he kept disappearing). I will now download some more and see if they remain when I restart the computer following.

  • iTunes will not install on Windows Vista

When I click "Run", nothing happens.  I tried to run it as an administrator, and the same thing happens.

    I would appreciate help!

    Hi TFloor,

I suggest you try the following steps:

Step 1: Turn off User Account Control and then try to install ITunes.

    1. open user accounts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking user accounts and family safety, then clicking on user accounts.

    2. click on Turn User Account Control on or off.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

3 uncheck use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer to turn off UAC, and then click OK.

Note: It is not recommended to turn off UAC, we just try to limit the problem, please turn on UAC after installing iTunes on the computer. See the link below for the procedure:

Enable or disable the User Account Control

  • using the admin account to create shortcuts in folders of other users

Is it possible to be able to edit other users of data such as creating a shortcut for them without having to restart the computer? The same happens for messing around in Program Files, Program Files (x 86) or the Start Menu.
I'm looking forward and a simple operation that used to take seconds XP is a bread PITA in Vista and 7 because I now need to log in as administrator, disable UAC, restart, wait, you connect again as the admin, my simple management operation, re - enable user annoyance control and then restart it again.
What used to take 2 minutes now takes 10-15 minutes because of all what to expect as the computer to reboot and let me, connect.

Am I missing something? A way to drag some files where I want to make a shortcut and you NOT say "Windows cannot create the shortcut you want here. Do you want to put me on the desktop instead?

I'm supposed to be the administrator, these things really annoy me. UAC is useful to raise my usual account, but it's really annoying when it blocks the admin to do something. At least, it could give an admin logged in as the administrator the opportunity to do what he wants to do when messing around with files and folders. Even an annoying "are you sure?" would be better than being completely blocked.

If there is a way to do it, let me know. I'm not talking about 'doing the shortcut on the desktop, then copy it where you want', I want to just open an Explorer window and be able to do what I want, as I often need to perform multiple operations and the delay being the guest for everyone is really annoying and slows me down.
Especially when I compare it to Windows 95, 98, 98SE and XP, I've done this sort of thing with extensive experience.

Windows9x version boosted BACK with only laughable security restrictions, it is not a good argument in support of your complaint. Your problem is caused by UAC, which was introduced in Vista. You can work around it by running Windows Explorer under elevated as follows:

    1. Start an elevated command prompt.
    2. Kill explorer.exe from this command prompt.
    3. Explorer.exe from this command prompt.
You can now use Windows Explorer to access the folders of other users.

  • Seen with his questions and planning tasks.

    Hello

I had problems with my laptop windows 8 recently that required me to restore to factory settings. I was then advised to delete windows every restoration by turning off and then re enabling the system to restore the problem only comes back - I had a potentially unwanted program which was affecting the system files and the registry keys.

Anyway, I thought that everything was going well until now that I noticed none of my scheduled tasks are underway. So the automatic maintenance would usually always wake up my laptop at 03:00, and recently he was not. Also my scans at the request of mcafee do not take place either.

Other issues I'm having is with the sound. This works but randomly it will stop working and I have to restart my laptop. Ive checked my drivers audio and everything seems to be ok, so I'm puzzled as to why this is happening.

I also had a question that was that I deleted all the old done restore points mean that I won't be able to restore the factory settings or remains the default restore point.

    Hello

    Thanks for the quick response.

What is the brand and model of the computer?

You try to use the device in a clean boot state and see if this helps because, put your system to the State clean boot helps you determine if third party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot. See the link to perform the clean boot.

  • Flash 10.3.181.23 as activex MSI needs credentials for the administrator to install

I work in a company that installs Flash via Active Directory. We have a mix of systems Windows XP 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 systems. We are currently running Flash 10.3.181.14 and I'm trying to update everyone to the most recent version.

The Flash plugin version works on all systems and the ActiveX version is installed for Windows 32-bit XP running IE 7 32-bit. The only problem I'm having is that when the GPO installs the ActiveX version on Windows 7 64-bit for IE 8 32 - bit, something happens and opening a page with Flash on it content causes a prompt UAC for administrator credentials to install flash. If I type in then it works but I am not able to go to each computer, and then type the credentials.

Is that what I can do to work around this problem? Turn off UAC is not an acceptable option.

I think the important thing here is the 64-bit browser.  We don't, at the moment, support 64-bit browsers.  You'll want to do it with a 32-bit browser instead.

  • Access user (UAC) shield appears on a large number of my programs now after Windows Update download and cause problems with some programs, no one knows how to fix this? (Windows 7) (Windows Update post a coupe of weeks)

    Hello

Windows Update recently made a lot of downloads on my computer about two weeks ago (I run it automatically and it works usually weekly) and he has made some changes to my system that create errors or difficulties with certain programs. The shield of the UAC is now appearing on many more programs for some reason any and now I'm a guest whenever a program is available. which is also appear on my AntiVirus program. Action Center flag appears almost every day now with warnings saying that my AntiVirus program and spyware is off (not sure if this is related to the UAC shield), but when I check my AntiVirus program everything works and after access; the flag of the Action Center shows while all right. Nobody knows how to solve this problem and get rid of the ecu of the UAC on programs (or at least some of them I want to be invited on)? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I'm sure I've upgraded to Vista SP2, but not absolute, I can't find a lot of information in the case of the newspapers with the service pack level... only vista combined with some process is perceptible. I bought July ' 09 new and it came pre-installed with Vista on it. I think this is the tool I used to remove McAfee on this; It also came with Norton as an alternative option and both have been removed using their tools to uninstall BitDefender installation instructions walked me through the location and the removal of two of them before installing BitDefender on the computer. My user account is configured as an administrator, but when I right click on programs with the shield of the UAC on them, I'm not running as an administrator. The UAC slider is set at the 2nd ranked (by default); but I do not know how it was listed previous, I wondered about moving down one notch (but he advises not and I don't want to spoil anything).
