problem of quadrature table indexing

Hello world. I work ona program to read the entry from the angle of a quadrature encoder. I get reads very well, but I try to export the data into a table of excel as well as to obtain the minimum and maximum angle read by the encoder. My program seems to just replace the original table instead of index value. the saved file is always just a value - the last value read by the program. For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Give this a go.

  • Slow table indexing when you use a subroutine

    I wrote a labview code that extracts a range of data to an analog waveform. (3 options - last value only, all values or a specific range)

    I'm buying what I consider of large amounts of data (analog samples at 1 MHz for 20 seconds).

    I'm proceessing in a loop of consumer data and found that the functions of indexation has slowed to a crawl (~ by seek 100mSec).

    The slowdown is a linear relationship to the size of the array.

    My debug analysis concluded that, if I change one of my subroutines of code inline, the speed problem disappeared.

    Why is - this?

    My best guess is that Labview takes a copy of the table to send by the Subvi.

    I'm not editing data in the subroutine, is it possible to say LABVIEW not to do?

    Attached are 2 versions of my VI, prompt a Subvi online (sorry for the mess) others (slow) use the code as a Subvi.

    Tim,

    You are quite correct.   What you might look into is recessing workmanship of your VI.  It depends on what you want to do with the final result.  Reentrant will solve this problem, but don't update the data on the front panel.

  • Problem with a table

    Hello

    Sorry for my bad English.

    I have a problem with a table. I made a table with a script, but when I add a new line, this script will not work in the new lines. I know that I have something wrong, but I do not know the solution. Anyboy help me? You can see the file in http://www.frmgm.jazztel.es/duda.pdf. I am new in programming.

    I thank you very much.

    OK, now I understand... each row that you add to the table changes the somExpression for objects (so that they are unique). The repeating subform Gets a case number, but the rest of the phrase remains the same. If you do not include a number of occurrence, then the 1st appearance is supposed to... that is why only the 1st row is affected. You can build expressions so that you can derive the correct number of occurrence. The click event code would look like this:

    If (xfa.resolveNode ("Tabla1.Fila1 [" + this.parent.index + "]").) Casillaverificacion1.RawValue == '0') {}
    xfa.resolveNode ("Tabla1.Fila1 [" + this.parent.index + "]"). Casillaverificacion2.access = "readOnly";
    xfa.resolveNode ("Tabla1.Fila1 [" + this.parent.index + "]"). Casillaverificacion3.access = "readOnly";
    xfa.resolveNode ("Tabla1.Fila1 [" + this.parent.index + "]"). Casillaverificacion4.access = "readOnly";
    xfa.resolveNode ("Tabla1.Fila1 [" + this.parent.index + "]"). Boton1.presence = 'hidden ';
    } else {}
    xfa.resolveNode ("Tabla1.Fila1 [" + this.parent.index + "]"). Boton1.presence = "visible";
    xfa.resolveNode ("Tabla1.Fila1 [" + this.parent.index + "]"). Casillaverificacion1.access = "readOnly";
    xfa.resolveNode ("Tabla1.Fila1 [" + this.parent.index + "]"). Casillaverificacion2.access = "open";
    xfa.resolveNode ("Tabla1.Fila1 [" + this.parent.index + "]"). Casillaverificacion3.access = "readOnly";
    xfa.resolveNode ("Tabla1.Fila1 [" + this.parent.index + "]"). Casillaverificacion4.access = "readOnly";
    }

    You can see that the xfa.resolveNode takes a string that represents the object we want to use. The string is then built and the number of occurrence of the Fila1 subform is derived by obtaining the index number of the subform parent of the object that we clicked (this.parent.index). Occurane numbers are wrapped in [] brackets.  The rest has not changed. You will need to update your code to use this technique.

    Hope that helps

    No, this is not possible. You need to get the manuscript of dependent object and create it manually.

  • Question table index

    Hello world

    I know that I can use a table to reshape to convert a 2D 1 d.

    But I'm curious of know how is it when I wire a 2D in an array of index table, and there is no constant for the index entries, the result comes out as a 1 d array?

    How it works in this case? could someone please explain that to me?

    Index functions Array always returns the element or subarray n-dimension table to index. By default, if you do not connect the index , the first input terminals line sub-table index 0, the second subarray index 1st row and so on.

  • How to import tables, index, tablespace, etc. of a DMP.

    Hello

    I would like to know how to import tables, index, tablespace, etc. of an export an Oracle 10.2.0.1 to apply on an Oracle 11.2.0 DMP. When I import the DMP file a unique Tablespace, for example, will users tablespace data.

    On the basis of origin, we have different tablespace each separated with different content (tables, index) and I would like to know if it is posible to import the same schema, tables, index, tablespace quite with a DMP alone, Export. I can't use DBUA because the database on the 10.2 software is missing, I have only one file (24 GB) DMP DMP!.

    Thanks for the reply,

    Sorry for my English :).

    Kind regards.

    The standard solution is

    -Make sure that the target user doesn't have the UNLIMITED TABLESPACE privilege, using REVOKE
    -Make sure that the target user has no QUOTA on the default tablespace using ALTER USER... QUOTA
    -Make sure that there is quota on the tablespace (s) of the target, using ALTER USER... QUOTA
    -import indexes = n
    -empty the index orders in a separate file
    IMP indexfile =...
    -run this file

    Hello
    Yes you can do it. But if you have a few scores on NAS and others on the local drive, then depending on the nature of the query/DML you will see some performance issues.

  • problems with the table of contents and index

    I do the localization for the Japan, so I'm all nice and good in Japanese (themes, table of contents and index), however, after compilation, only the TOC and India are in a font that does not support Japanese characters.
    Does anyone have any ideas how to solve this problem?
    Thank you

    Thank you Pete, it's part of the solution.
    In fact, what I discovered on a German forum for RoboHelp, is to set the machine to the locale for the country, and the location is made. I installed the language support pack before my problem and so I was able I was translating into topics. The problem appeared when I tried my first compilation. The subjects were still in Japanese, that I translated, but the table of contents and the index and were the only ones who wrote in a totally unknown style (not Japanese English and not another language, I know).
    Now that I've changed the location of my system, it works.
    So, I think that this should be a first improvement for RoboHelp, right? They boast that they support 35 languages, however the support isn't quite... finish, huh?
    Furthermore, the error message continues to come even after all these changes, but I don't like too much about this, I get what I need.
    Thanks again Pete for the solution and the quick response.

  • A different function is created instead of the expected (table Index instead of initialize array) Labview - a 8.5

    Hey all,.

    I have a really strange behavior here. I'm using LabView 8.5. I open a white VI and try to use the function "initialize the array.

    No matter where and how I find (using search functions, or by accessing the 7.x-> table-> table initialize function), when I drag and drop it off at my VI, what I get is "Array Index" instead!

    Even when I hover over the icon table inside the palette is initialized, with aid switched on (Ctrl + H), what I see is the help page for table of Index. It's as if somehow the index table replaced function Initialize array entirely, with the exception of the simple icon in the palette...

    I tried to restart Labview and my computer nothing works.

    Someone at - he never experience a similar problem? that means, one different function other than for being created. I have attached a screenshot.

    Thank you

    -Anne Marie

    Thanks for your replies.

    My palette is screwed a bit isn't it? Most likely because the installation I chose a bunch of older versions in favor... and I regret it now.

    Funny enough, during the search in the functions that it only brings me version 7.x of functions of table etc... but I can manually find the standard in my palette, and of course, version 8.5 standard functions seem to work...

    I need to finally do an install of cean, but for now, it's all good!

    Thank you

  • Problem updating a table of clusters that contain some gauges

    Hello

    I have problems when I write to an array of clusters that contain some gauges.

    I wrote an example program to illustrate the problem.

    [I create a digital, digital picture].

    I have complete 4 elements of the array with the data.

    If I shoot each element with a function Index Array and write the data in 4 indicator groups independently, I have no problem.

    If I have the wiring of the table of 4 elements in an array of clusters, the needles on the gauges redraw correctly.

    However, simply by moving the mouse on the element table causes the display to redraw this element.

    I played a bit with synchronous display and reporter Panel updates, but they do not seem to affect this behavior.

    Any thoughts?

    A picture of the problem and the VI are attached.

    When something like this pops up I usually try covering the incriminated with a transparent 2D image control.  Controls overlapping sometimes cause problems, sometimes they solve them.

  • Problem inserting in table 2D

    Hello

    I am trying to add an item at the end of the rank 0 to a table 2D (5 times).

    Then, add an element at the end of row 1 of table 2D (5 times). etc...

    I get the line of interest with the Board index, then add my new item with picture of compilation and use replace subset of table to the line in the 2D array.

    However, I find myself with an array of 25 x 1 instead of 5 x 5.

    It seems that LV 2012 supports the replacement of a single element of wiring to the input line and col but I am running LV2010.

    The attached .jpg is an excerpt of the original code.

    The attached .vi is an example, I play with to try to understand what I am doing wrong.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi eblohm,

    There are two fundamental problems with your VI:

    (1) a table will be always "rectangular". As soon as you add an element to a single line all other lines with also get an item (set to default values) added...

    (2) ReplaceArraySubset will replace existing items only! You try to replace the non-existing elements (aka get your table), it won't work.

    Have you even tried to debug your VI with highlighting to market?

    Possible solution:

    Set your table with the final size! Use ReplaceArraySubset to replace unique elements in your picture!
