Problem of sound recording

Hello team,

When you use Skype to video chat online, my microphone recording device began an absurd behavior. I can hear clearly the voice of the other party, but my voice that them is very disturbed with a lot of background noise. Even when I check its recording through the sound recorder and read it, it sounds too similarly troubled. Can anyone please help...

Hi Priya,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

I understand that the other party is unable to hear your voice clearly during your Skype conversation and also through the sound recorder.

There may be possibility of settings can not be adjusted correctly. I would refer to the article below to change the settings to get clear sound.

Step 1: Problems troubleshooting Audio from Skype

Step 2: Open the troubleshooting of Audio recording

Step 3: Update sound card drivers

Try to update the latest drivers for your sound card and check if the problem persists.

"Problem with sound recorder" suggests that there may be a problem with your input device.

Open Device Manager (right click on my computer > properties > hardware > Device Manager) and search for "imaging devices". Click on the + to expand the category.  There is a warning (yellow!)? Right-click and select Properties.  Is it the box at low say "use this device (enable)"? If not, do so and click OK.

While still in the Device Manager, click on the + next to "Sound, video controllers and game."  Locate the entry of your webcam microphone. There is a warning (yellow!)? Right-click and select Properties.  Is it the box at low say "use this device (enable)"? If not, do so and click OK.

Take a look at control panel > sounds and Audio devices

Click on the tab "Audio".  What is the default device for sound recording?  It should be your webcam; If this is not the case, adjust it using the drop-down list box.  Same thing for the "Voice" tab and the default device for voice recording.  Be sure to click on the "Apply" or the OK button.

Click Start , point to programs , point toAccessories , point to entertainment and then clicksound recorder .  That you get error messages when you open or you try to open the sound recorder? If so, please include the entire message, without paraphrase, in your response.

  • Problem of sound recording volume control

I just installed a USB turntable and I have a problem: when I go to control panel, sounds and devices, click the Audio tab, in the field of sound recording, the volume button is gray out and inactive. The turntable is the record - but it's a recording at a too low volume and I would like to increase the volume. But with the Volume key is inactive, I am unable to do so. How can I increase the volume of the sound recording if this button is disabled? Thanks in advnace for your answer.

  • Problems of sound recording in Windows 7

My wife has just purchased Dragon speech-to-text software and try to make it work. When she speaks into the microphone, the software shows that it is to hear his voice (levels bounce up and down with the cadence of his voice), but Dragon indicates that he has trouble hearing.

She then went to Windows Sound recorder and it is very well made. But then in Control Panel, when you go through devices to configure the microphone and try to run this process, he also complains that he cannot hear. Is attached a screenshot of the dialog that appears in this process.

The fact that it works in sound recorder makes me think that the device driver levels levels micro, etc. must be correct and functional. So it's strange to me that the thing in Control Panel does not work as it is also part of Windows.

Any ideas what might be happening here? We have removed and re - detect the hardware and reinstalled the device drivers and none of this has made a difference.

His is an all-in-one machine Acer Aspire running Windows 7 Ultimate.

    Thank you... Rogers

    Hello Roger,.

According to the description, I understand that the microphone on your device becomes an audio input, however, there are problems during the recording of the voice. I will certainly help you in this matter. To better understand the issue, I would like to ask you a few questions.

    1. You use a headset to record the sound?

    2. You have installed all the latest drivers for the computer?

    3. Have you installed an antivirus software?

    4. What Dragon speech-to-text version are you using?

I suggest you test the compatibility of the software with windows 7 to do this, click on the link below:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/compatibility/CompatCenter/home

This problem may occur when there is a conflict with the driver or problems with registration of the components. I suggest you try the following methods to diagnose and resolve the problem.

    Method 1: Recording Audio Troubleshooter

It checks the common issues, for example by ensuring that both a map of his work and a recording device are installed on your computer. To do this, click on the link below:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-recording-audio-Troubleshooter

    Method 2:

I also suggest you to install the drivers in compatibility mode. By this, you can install a program more former who maybe isn't compatible with your version of windows. For more information on this subject, click on the link below.

  • Problems with sound after recording project and reopen it first elements 13

I am a new user of Premiere Elements. It runs on a PC Pro Windows 8.1. Everything going well until I'm not closing the pragram. If I save a project, close the program and re-open, audio files (any type) can only be heard on the left speaker. If I double-click the audio (audio tool opens upwards) I can see the left and the right lane and it seem okay, but in the draft, I can not both speakers to work. Burning of the project or making changes nothing. All other software is running okay, i.e. None of the problems of sound. Either it's a bug or it's sth. in the settings.

The sound chip is a RealTEch High definition audio on an Asus motherboard. Any help is very appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Finally, what helped was uninstalling the realtech High Definiton Audio Driver and re-install the same version.

It is not sensible, but it worked.

    Thanks for the support everyone.

I just got a new VCR Camileo H20. Directly from the box.

I m H20 not owner but I have a Camielo: 30. But the two are very similar, the sound-> off the coast of the option that you can find in the menu does not sound recording via microphone, but the sound that appears by pressing the buttons by navigating through the menu.

  • Audio microphone recording sound recording

I can't get my internal microphone to work properly.  During playback, my voice sounds like I am taking the floor in a kettle + it is barely audible and resonates as I am 1 million miles, speaking via a satellite connection.  I contacted the technical support of HP, was on the phone for about 3 hours during 2 days; I came home yesterday, the laptop (HP ENVY dv7 - 7333cl Notebook PC) at Costco, where I exchanged for an identical one that has the same problem.  On their recommendation, I downloaded a new audio driver, made updates, and last night I did a full system recovery, but, alas, no better... Hi superconfused123,

This problem occurs because of a design limitation in the tape recorder.

  • XP sounds low and scratchy sound recorder

using a dell with XP OS computer I have reciently erased my disk hard back to the "factory condition" using Norton Ghost disk, however, I am not able to record and playback using Microsoft Sound Recorder, as I was before.

I'm sure there is a simple solution (e.g. drivers) and I can remember what it was.

Initially, I had this problem and sought another recorder of sounds, which I ran for a day or two, and because he was in conflict with another sound program (Nero), I uninstalled it immediately.

It is after uninstalling I noticed that Windows Sound Recorder worked then and everything was fine.

I have the sound that I hear all my MP3 music without fault when playing on Windows Media Player using Creative Sound Blaster PCI, I deleted obviously something that was there before reformatting my hard drive. WITHOUT having to search for an another sound recorder - can you tell me what is the solution? Thank you

A more technical and detailed explanation of the problem is below.

The sound "waves" were still visible on the sound recorder, check it was scientifically to come in which could be lowered or raised with the Volume control - now there's nothing.

Now there is a slight frying sound when music is recorded and played back, as if it were a radio cities not expensive 3 away. but once again my MP3 music plays without problem.

I select file > properties > convert now, and by choosing 'Name' 'CD quality' on the recorder sounds and still no luck, infact the only way to hear the sound of frying by far is to keep the name of "Untitled" by default using the format "PCM".

Thank you for your time with this question.

Yes, it would be a good idea to re - install your specific sound devices for the XP drivers.

Use Audacity to record with, it of better and should not come into conflict with anything whatsoever. It's also free. Sound recorder is (IIRC) limited to 60 seconds of recording. Audacity is not more you can convert and edit your audio files on it.

    See you soon,.

  • Sound Recorder does not work anymore, I can't save my file, how can I find my file.

I lost my sound file, because the sound recording program has stopped working... can I find my files lost... maybe, it is in my drive by the template file...

Go to start and type the following in the search box and press on enter: folder

This should open your temporary files folder, look for a file named ART___.tmp that allows to change _. If you find, copy it on your desktop and rename the file you want and Add .wmv in the end.

For example, you can find ARTF11.tmp - copy it to the desktop and rename to myrecording.wmv

Note that there may be problems during playback of the file (in particular, research) because it was not registered properly.
