• Problem in reboot loop after updates.

  I have windows XP on an Asus A8V-E-SE motherboard has developed a problem in reboot loop after updates.  It will not go in safe mode either.  Stop at a display of the driver.  I used the recovery console using the XP cd and you can see the update directories in the systemroot folder.  I followed the instructions in the forum to uninstall every update by accessing commands back to the subdirectory spuninst update and then run "Batch spuninst.txt.  I get a bunch of 'access denied' messages for each of them (varies in amount of "access denied" messages by everyone but consistent for each.)  It's not like the batch uninstall for the update does not work.  I tried to uninstall all updates yesterday 10/02/10 (I had 10) even with the "access denied" messages, but it still will not initialize properly.  No way to move the access denied message?

• A50-522 problems on reboot

  I have a problem when I try to restart windows on my A50.
  The laptop instead of just restart stops down the hard drive then, after 1 or 2 seconds of power on the hard disk and start the boot process.
  This happens only when I try to reboot from windows, when I reboot from linux, that the hard drive is not turned off.

  I think this is related to the way the operating system restarts the machine. For me, I have a M10 SatPro with WinXP and SUSE 9.1, it is exactly the way that describe you. SUSE restarts the machine, as we have become accustomed, while WinXP really turn off all the system and after 2-3 seconds, it back on itself.

  I saw this beaviour on many XP systems so I guess that's just the way Ms. want him.

• Satellite P300D - problem with reboot after update the HARD drive

  I have laptop Satellite P300D - 12 c and recently, I put a new hard drive, the Seagate momentus 7200 RPM 2.5 "500 GB. It works well, but I have a strange problem; normally when I reboot the laptop when it will close something sounds, in the figurative sense I could say "something moves" for a bit in the DVD - ROM drive and shuts down and then restarts.

"something is happening" on the dvd - rom drive as trying to permanently access a dvd or something and he does the same thing until I force it to shut down by pressing the appropriate button.   There is virtually no diagnosis of those - they are the equivalent of random errors in Windows for which trace the root cause is futile. Basically, here's the last out in the programming code - some event occurred for which there is no event handler in the code. The patch is an update of the code that handles the event... but, again, what is the event is almost impossible. So, there are a few things to try:

  Sometimes, the code simply is damaged and needs to be updated - just like a reboot:

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. • Re-installed Windows 10 PRO x 64 then re-installed 13 elements of original disc and NO problem.  Rebooted and it told me "updates available".   Then applications Adobe Manager opens and starts "initializing" and stays like that for hours with no progress.

• System restore problems - I reboot and press F11, then past recovery mode and load the files then it just goes to the blue screen and a mouse cursor? help please?

  I bought the first two episodes (via Apple TV) to see if we would like a particular issue and having liked it, has decided to end the series in the balance reduced rather than buying all the episodes separately. • Airport Extreme and Cox Internet IPv6 problem

  This is one notification to others as well as a question:

  I have Cox Cable high speed Internet in several places using an Airport Extreme 3 GB connected as a router to the modem cable Cox.

  For more than a week, we would find regularly in the morning that the outside connection to internet DNS servers were lost.  We called Cox several times and they have done the usual reset of the router and the modem and things seem to work for some time.  But the next day again.

  They came out and replaced the connections, I I had to buy a new cable modem and I replaced a digital switch.  Every time things seem to work for some time.

  I thought to replace the Airport Extreme (I read others did in a similar situation without result).

  After much frustration, I started looking for Airport Extreme and DNS and found similar stories.

  After that several unproductive calls with Cox Internet of first level support, I finally reached a level which acknowledged that Cox was the IPv6 deployment and he was having a problem with Airport Extreme routers.  They said Apple was working on it and gave me a number to call for support from router from apple.  Unfortunately the number they gave was no longer valid.

  I persisted and finally got the Apple support and indeed they knew the problem and said Cox was working on that... But there was a temporary problem - and that was to disable iPv6 on the airport extreme (more precisely (internet > Internet Options > configure Ipv6: link-Local only).)

  For now it seems to have stopped the decline during the night which seems to happen between 12:00 and 02:00.  By experience, I do not think that its really a problem of compaibility IPV6, but how the router meets some kind of rebate to zero/test signal signal service is done in early morning.

  So the question is - does anyone know with certainty what happens or who really works on this.  From my point of view, both sides think it's the other problem.  BTW - I've read about other people with Non Apple routers running after something similar.

  I also had a similar problem.  Prior service of Cox Communications in Phoenix AZ has been rescinded and recently restored (March 1) yesterday afternoon.  After the departure of the technician, the wi - fi failed to produce a valid connection, citing DNS error and no response from the server.  We have a new modem, CISCO, at an Air Port/Time Capsule 2 TB ethernet cable.

  After talking with support for level 2 level 1 and then Cox, there was sufficient evidence for a correct signal via the modem, but the Port of the Air was not picking up or he issued (by Cox).  Check my Air Port Utility apps on iMac and iPhone shows a signal Internet or Air Port casual, but never the two together.  The modem and the Air Port so would show appropriate green led lights up, but in vain to work wi - fi.

  The only thing that has worked so far is your solution listed above: Air Port utility > Internet > Internet Options > configure Ipv6: link-Local only.

• Windows 7 clean installation Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) on a loop of reboot

  Aloha everyone,
  I did an install customized windows 7 on a new Western Digital 1 TB sata hard drive, which has been formatted, partitioned, scandisk, and a ntfs c drive was created prior to installation.
  The installation ended safely.  I then install my screen reader, Window-Eyes, requiring a reboot.  After the reboot, I started to install critical updates to Windows.  On my fourth update and restarting, I got the blue screen of death, that of some people call a BSoD.  I rebooted and Windows itself restored to a previous state of good, of my just accept the default choice.  Then the rear computer works, but if I stop, restart I get the blue screen of death (BSod) is back, and the loop begins again, i.e. windows restores good condition that works well, until you stop, but on reboot - BSoD is BACK!
  I removed the automatic update option, I disabled ScanDisk, drivers updated, bluetooth devices, deactivated sideshow, etc., without any positive result.  I called Microsoft for assisstance and the technician acted like this isn't a known issue, but he assured me that he could solve the problem.  He took control of my computer remotely and do not tell me anything except that the computer would check and repair any problem on reboot, and if he did does not resolve the problem, I have to remember.  The computer has rebooted without the BSod, but I stopped to check if the loop went, and it is not!  To restart the BSOd was back.  It is to note that if I put the computer to sleep, I get a clean start, but stop, restart or hibernation, I get the blue screen of death (BSoD)!
  It is a Dell Dimension XPS 420 with a intel Q6600 processer, 3 GB of ddr2 memory, which came with OS Vista Home premium 32-bit.  The Vista system, the last time I got a BSoD has been for more than a year.

  After researching this problem on Google, it appears that there is a problem without a solution.

I'll never upgrade a Windows operating system.  My recommendation for anyone who is planning to upgrade to Windows 7 is to try first on a dual boot using the free download.  If it works for you, consider yourself lucky and buy the upgrade.  If it does not, then remove Windows 7 and stay with your old system.
