  When I started my laptop yesterday, I noticed it was going quite slowly, more there was a message saying that windows could not connect to a specified service.

  As a result my firewall was off tour and I can t connect to the internet. I tried to turn on the firewall, but I couldn't... and today, I tried another connection to inalambric, but I couldn't connect to the internet.

  I checked the registry of the solution and the problem and found it was something related to DHCP and sense.

  But really, I don - t know what causes this problem...

  I searched other forums where people have had the same problem but I could t find any solution apart from reinstalling Vista...

  Can someone help me? Help will be very appreciated!

  What do you mean with SENSE? I never heard tell about.

  I put t know what are the causes of the problem too but did you look in Event Viewer? Sometimes, it's really useful.

  You're probably on a dhcp-based system. You must ensure that the correct setting of the intellectual property is in the file/etc/hosts. The problem is that your db to any host name console has been made, its not available anymore. See the following page for the EM database troubleshooting,

  I bought a Toshiba Satellite A200 - 28 p in October, it's a great laptop, but I always had a problem when it starts.

  Occasionally, and I mean at random without cause, when I turn it on the lights of disk hard flash but it beeps twice and nothing happens.
  I have to turn it off and try again, I found the best way to solve the problem is open and close the lid a couple of times and then try and start the machine. I took it to PC world where I bought it and they were a less useless place, the first time the ' + technician + ' said that he had set and it was losing RAM, when I asked if he had reproduced in fact he he looks some what confused.

  I took his word, even thought that I had done my own research that pointed to a problem of graphic\screen and took it home. Of course the problem reproduced immediately in a day or two, the second time I took it back they suggested because its so casual, that it is and I find no reproducible model, that it would not be worth sending away.

  Can anyone shed light on what could be the cause of this? It doesn't seem to affect the machine somehow when his works actually, checked all the Windows event logs and nothing so its occurring long before that.

  The second question is much easy one of my CTRL keys has broken the key is fine, is there anywhere I can get a replacement Cap? Please do not say PC World!

  I put t know why it happened, but to me this looks like a motherboard or RAM problem but I don't know m.
  The RAM, you can check with Memtest86. It s a special diagnostic for the RAM and the freeware tool. Use Google to find out.

  In addition if Memtest86 can t find a problem your laptop should be checked by a technician for laptop. They can determine what the problem is and they also have experience in laptop disassembly.
  And a new keyboard, you can also get to an authorized service provider.

• Satellite C660 - the mouse pointer stops working when you start program

  Problem:
  When I start a program (for example. Sonos controller) on my laptop my mouse pointer stops working. It does not happen with all programs! When I go into Device Manager, my synaptic touchpad and my hid mouse is working also. When I press ctrl - alt - del, the pointer can move again, but when I come back it stops again. I have a work around is not a solution

  When I disconnect my windows account and log in again, it will solve the problem. When I start a program again the pointer will freeze up again.
  I did a complete system of virusscan and a pre start virusscan and my laptop is virus-free.
  I uninstalled the mouse and in drivers reinstalled synaptics them but that has not worked. I added a new account windows but that did not work.
  By pressing the keycombo FN + F9 has no effect.
  I am somehow at the end of my ideas...

  What is the notebooks touchpad works properly without loading and using this 3rd party software?
  For example, work the touchpad with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, etc.) or navigation in internet by using IE or Chrome?

  My guess is that the pre-installed 3rd application part could affect the functionality of the touchpad.

  I BOUGHT THIS computer PORTABLE OF BEST BUY in January 2012 I BEGAN to HAVE the PROBLEMS WITH HIM.  Finally after blocking up to 5 or 6 times during the first months of couple finally just locked up and no matter how many times I rebooted, tap, it took off the battery voltage I couldn't get windows to load.upon goes to best buy, of course, they informed me, I had 19 different virus, spyware, malware or adware on my pc.since I had not loaded programs and software here and I do not open unsoliciated e-mail and I had PC for 15 years and never had a problem, I was very skeptical. I told them no, I didn't spend $200.00 for them to fix and remove the problem that was to have my old pc of 3 months. I went back picked it up and they said well we have windows to start up, but does not remove the virus, well after returning home and running analysis trend micro system with microsoft security essentials and CC Cleaner full nothing was found on my system. I only got lock up once on me over the last 4 weeks Ive got back, but when I went on the best shopping site I noticed that most of the people who gave user reviews and booought this portable paticular all have something in common pc freezes when windows start right at the point where the screen is about to go to windows and he said wait a moment before it switches on your office. Please if anyone knows why or what's going on with this portable paticular or can give some help or suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.   Do you have the drivers updated through windows update? If so bad move, all drivers must come from Lenovo.

  First of all... the Oracle Service for the instance must be started for the DB that you try to connect or start.
  Next... from the command prompt:

  Set oracle_sid =

  sqlplus sys as sysdba

  Startup pfile = 'location of the pfile respective db.

  Now, if you want to start or connect to another DB, which is on the same server (again assuming that the Service is STARTED)...
  From the same command prompt or other session...

  Looks like your current profile does not work correctly.

  Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

  Then when I booted my computer one day the screen was red everywhere where black pixels were supposed to be so I opened the laptop, because I thought it was a connection to the problem of the motherboard, so I disconnected all the wires and the flat wire on the motherboard and pluged all back in their original locations, then when I started the computer it lights , but there weren't any windows starting thing was only in black. I think it's maybe because when I pluged to hide in one of them couldn't have properly.

  How can I find my model number or product number?

  I understand that your screen is red everywhere where black pixels should be. You have opened the laptop to check the connections. You unplugged and replugged everything on the motherboard and reassembled.  Now, when you try to start Notepad, you see the computer turn on but the screen remains black or white.
