Problem when upgrading Windows 10

Hello

I currently use Windows 7 and got a free notification upgrade to windows 10.  However, everytime I try to upgrade, I get an error of "WindowsUpdate_80070002" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"  Don't really know what that means.

I have a windows OS and even confirmed MS. site I had enough space on the C drive too.

My setup of origin on this laptop had Windows vista, which was later changed to Windows 7 and now in trouble with having windows 10.

Please let me what can be done here.

Best regards

Harsha Anne

Hello

If you can't get Windows 10 to get 10 app windows or Windows update, you always have the option of ISO to upgrade.

Download Windows 10 media creation tool

Simply select this option of PC/improvement.

After you download the Windows 10 installation files using this tool, you can upgrade your existing 10 Windows operating system, or you can create the bootable USB drive or DVD to install Windows 10 key later. You can also save the installation files to the ISO in offline mode file format, if you wish.

My Installer went up 83% and something, then it restarted and when it started showed 0xc000000f problem and tells me to insert a disk installation and repair my computer, I don't have any drive to win 10 or win 7 disc, but I do had win 8 disk, so I booted my pc with him... and windows 8 works... bt every time my pc displays the message to choose an operating system and the os are windows 8 and another is the clumsy windows installation, when I click on windows 8 it starts normally but when I click on windows installation this old problem 0xc000000f takes place,... Hello

If you can start with 8 Win Media and select REPAIR installation screen, you will get Repair Options...

Select troubleshooting, then advanced... You MIGHT have an option for going back to a previous operating system...

Another thing on the start menu...

If you go into MSCONFIG... The STARTUP tab, you will probably see a list of which appears when you start your machine... There will be options to select one as the default...

I delete anything again, until get you a better idea as to what is still usable.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your message on the problems to the upgrade of Win10 and wanted to help.

You try to upgrade from Windows Update? Ask because it is the hardest to do and the less reliable way.

A much better way is to use the tool for creating Windows Media (MCT): 10 Windows Installer using the media - Windows help authoring tool

With this tool, you have the option of (1) creation of installation of Win10 (USB or DVD) media, (2) download an ISO file, (3) update the PC directly.  If all you want to do is updated on this PC, then choose the option: upgrade this PC now.

    Good luck

  • Power Supply problem when installing Windows 7

So I'll keep this short and to the point. I was upgraded yesterday from Vista to 7. Has made all the necessary updates and restart before installing 7. While it was installing, I weppe out of the room, came back and my monitor was empty... Silly me, I thought it was a reboot during installation. Futher glance, the monitor is in standby mode and the PC itself has been disabled. I waited about 10 minutes and it was always off. So I hit the power button, and it will not turn back. Tried the flipping of switches, different cables. Even called tech support, to get your warranty has expired and its $ 99 for me you tell the problem... Then he became the Lady on the line, telling me something I already knew... I got a power supply problem and I had to mapy 340.00 to repair... My question is this... It was just the stars lining up properly and my diet is to bite the dust while I have been upgraded or is there more behind it?

  • HP 15 - r014TX: GFT Drive Partition problem when installing Windows 7 on my HP 15 - r014TX

    Hello
I have a new HP laptop that had windows OS 8.1. OS has been corrupted and now when I try to install Windows 7 on the same I get this error: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is the GPT partition style. »
So, I saw a few videos of the solution on youtube and found that I need to convert MBR mode and for that I need to clean the drive and re partition which will result in the loss of data. As I don't have a BONE in my laptop that I can't even get back to the top of my data.
Some can give me alternatives by which I can back up my data or install windows without losing my data.
I tried the option "Repair Windows" so while installing windows7, but even that does not work as the OS recovery file is missing.
Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hello

Just to make sure, when starting in legacy mode, you'll normally see two optical drive options:

    CDROM

    and

    CDROM (uefi)

You see two options, and if so, you select the CDROM (uefi)?

Otherwise, an option would be to remove the drive HARD, place it in an external enclosure - is an example of the link below - connect to another PC and see if you can access your files.

External 2.5 HARD drive caddy ".

  • Partitioning of the problems when installing Windows 7

I have a HP Compaq CQ58 supplied with Windows 8. I switched to Ubuntu and I'm doing a clean install of Windows 7. Installation came at a prompt asking "Where do you want to install Windows?" and I have three partitions:

    Disk 0 Partition 1 - 94.0 MB system
    Disk 0 Partition 2-296, 4 GB primary
    Disk 0 Partition 3-1, 6 GB primary

When you select one of them, I get "Windows cannot be installed to Partiion Dis 0 x." On the 1 (System) partition, the details are:

Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is the GPT partition style.

Windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space. The partition is a partition of EFI (ESP) system.

On Partition 2 (primary), the details just say:

Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is the GPT partition style.

And on the Partition (primary) 3, tell the details:

Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is the GPT partition style.

Windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space. Windows must be installed on a partition formatted in NTFS.

Windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space. The partition is of an unknown type.

Well, I had nothing in particular requiring a backup (it is a computer of leisure, all of our important data are on other devices), then I hit the "Format" button on all three in turn try to get the installation to run on one of them. If any OS at this point is completely erased. I need to know, now, what to do. I'm not comfortable with my computer knowledge to go and delete partitions without professional opinion. I'm not used to have more than one partition and wouldn't mind consolidating unless HP has good reasons to keep them separate.

    Hello

There is no reason to keep these partitions and you can remove them using the disk management on the following installation disc.

Left click a partition for highlight.

Click the blue link "drive Options (Advanced).

    Select the option 'delete '.

Repeat this step for each partition listed.

Once completed, you should see only 1 entry showing that "the unallocated space on disk 0.

Click on the button 'Next' operation of installation of Windows 7.

Be aware that Windows 7 will also create a "System" of about 100 MB hidden partition that contains the files and start the recovery environment.

    Kind regards
