Problem with GPS in very remote locations...
Hello
I recently went to some remote areas of Western Australia. My phone is an old 4S running 9.3.5
In these remote areas, I had either no reception iphone mobile, or the receipt of another carrier (to what I had) so all the
I could get is SOS capacity in these areas.
The GPS of the iphone did not work (location services). I got iphone apps preloaded for the trip, but because the GPS does not work I could not use them. It is, has it been fixed for iphones later, or do you need always mobile reception to get the GPS to work?
Dissapointingly, I had to go back to my old windows phone where the GPS worked. The apps I had already downloaded for the iphone
and windows phone had full maps already downloaded (as they were the map apps) for the region, in that I was.
Thanks in advance. Stephen
What app?
This may be a limitation of the application in question against the GPS hardware in the phone.

Problems with itunes and can not locate network %APPDATA%/
I'm having a problem with trying to download itunes 10 because he repeats to me he couldn't locate network %APPDATA%/ when he tries to install quicktime with itunes 10 Installer. I can install quicktime very well, but even this will not fix the itunes 10 installation problems.
I had installed on my computer since then two games and work very well. The other could not install correctly, but the appdata question had nothing to do with it.
I use windows vista Basic.

Some problems with Qosmio G30-179 - remote and TV
Hello, (I am French and my English is bad)
I have a Qosmio G30-179 and I can't use my remote when the computer's power on. But I can use the remote to turn on my computer and I can use it when I use the TV and media keys (on the right of the power button).
Another problem: I get nothing when I search for a signal TV on Media player. Even if I'm in a place where I already receive all TV channels. Maybe they had some problems undetected...
All these functions have already worked and I realized that they do not work there is little time. But I don't use them for a long time, since I have received my computer, when he came back guaranteed (I send them because he had a problem in the bars of RAM.)
Then, I think that there was a problem with the service. But I'm not sure.
What do you think about this? Should I call them?
Or this problem can be easily resolved?
Thank you in advance.In this case, it is really not easy to give advice quite simply. If you are looking for the simplest solution I recommend you save all your data and install OS using recovery DVDs. After that make this laptop will have factory again and I hope that it will work as before.
Good bye

Problems with the work computer remote desktop connection
I used the remote desktop for VPN connections to work for a few years. My new employer has a Sonic Wall VPN. My home PC is running XP. The work computer is Windows 7. I activated the remote on this computer connectivity. I can connect to the VPN with a number. Remote Desktop detects the computer to work without problems as well. When I try to signon with my valid credentials, I get a message that my ID or password is invalid. By using the same credentials locally everything works perfectly. I tried to connect with my user disconnected and connected in the workplace with no difference in results. Any thoughts there?
Hi DougH_50,
Your Windows XP question is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the IT Pro TechNet public. Please post your question in the TechNet Windows XP Networking forum.

Problems with GPS signal/slot
Hello
I try to get GPS information for my application. I did a class to do so.
#ifndef GPSHANDLER_H_ #define GPSHANDLER_H_ #include
#include #include #include #include using namespace QtMobilitySubset; class GPShandler : public QObject{ Q_OBJECT public: GPShandler(QObject* parent); virtual ~GPShandler(); private Q_SLOTS: void positionUpdatedSlot(const QGeoPositionInfo &geoInfo); public: void start(); void stop(); double Latitude(); double Longitude(); private: double mGeoInfoLat; double mGeoInfoLong; QGeoPositionInfoSource *mGeo; }; #endif /* GPSHANDLER_H_ */ #include "GPShandler.h" GPShandler::GPShandler(QObject* parent) : QObject(parent) { mGeoInfoLat = 0; mGeoInfoLong = 0; mGeo = QGeoPositionInfoSource::createDefaultSource(this); if (mGeo) { bool checkval = connect(mGeo, SIGNAL(positionUpdated(const QGeoPositionInfo &)), this, SLOT(positionUpdatedSlot(const QGeoPositionInfo &))); mGeo->setPreferredPositioningMethods(QGeoPositionInfoSource::SatellitePositioningMethods); mGeo->setUpdateInterval(1000); //checkval = mGeo->setProperty("backgroundMode", true); //int i = 3; } } GPShandler::~GPShandler() { // TODO Auto-generated destructor stub } void GPShandler::positionUpdatedSlot(const QGeoPositionInfo &geoInfo) { // Here's where you can do something with the device's position mGeoInfoLat = geoInfo.coordinate().latitude(); mGeoInfoLong = geoInfo.coordinate().longitude(); } void GPShandler::start() { mGeo->startUpdates(); } void GPShandler::stop() { mGeo->stopUpdates(); } double GPShandler::Latitude() { return mGeoInfoLat; } double GPShandler::Longitude() { return mGeoInfoLong; }
As you can see I have connected the signal postionUpdate() of QGeo class that I use for the positionUpdatedSlot() of the slot. I use the class as follows:
Pop = new GPShandler (this);
void::startTimer() {} App
Pop-> start();
}
void::stopTimer() {} AppPop-> stop();
}
which are called when a key is pressed. However, the positionUpdatedSlot() of slot function is never called. I have debugged in my code and cannot find the problem. I can confirm the work of connection (function returns true), and that presented startup and shutdown functions are called as expected. Is there a reason why my slot machine function is not called?
Note: I have another implementation of signal/slot in this app:
Connect (mTimer, SIGNAL (timeout ()), this, SLOT (update ()));
and it works very well.
Thank you
Gerry
I do not know which of the following has solved my problem, but in any case, it's working now after doing these things:
1. give permission to app to device identification information. (I had already given GPS, but examples also being device identifying information I thought I'd try that)
2. remove the line:
mGeo>setPreferredPositioningMethods(QGeoPositionInfoSource::SatellitePositioningMethods);
as an example, I created using this example: http://blackberry.github.com/Cascades-Samples/geo-locationdiagnostics.html did not have this line

Problem with ASA 5505 VPN remote access
After about 1 year to have the VPN Client from Cisco connection to an ASA 5505 with no problems, all of a sudden one day it stops working. The customer is able to get a connection to the ASA and browse the local network for only about 30 seconds after the connection. After that, no access is available to the network behind the ASA. I have tried everything I can think of to try to solve the problem, but at this point, I'm just banging my head against a wall. Anyone know what could cause this?
Here is the cfg running of the ASA

Problems with Windows 7 Pro Remote Access
I'm on a Windows 7 Pro machine, but it is connected to a working network.
I'm trying to access Windows 7 Pro machine to my parents at home.
I went through These Instructions. We have created a password for one of the user accounts. I checked the name of the computer (there is no listed area). We confirmed that remote access has been enabled and allow remote access has been verified in the firewall settings.
However, when I start "Remote Desktop connection" on my computer and put their computer name in the box, I get a message that it cannot find the computer. Then, the message indicates that the computer cannot belong to "the network specified." But there is no specified network, and I see no where to do it.
In addition, it is possible that my work security settings prevent me from remote accessing another computer?
Last question: if I used the Fusion of the virtual machine on my Mac, with Windows 7, I can remote access to another computer?
Real technique. The problem boils down to the IP address. Your computer probably has an IP of 192.168.1.8 or something like that. But the router any fact domestic in the world. So when you want to connect to the remote computer, you must use the IP public face (which the internet service provider home assigns to your router/home, not that of your router assigns to your computer). But then, you're always short because now you have at home, but you have to tell the House what PC actually send this letter too. It's like an envelope with an address half. Port forwarding it tells the final step which PC should receive the message.
But yes I agree they could at least put a link or an explanation.

Hello
I have previously edited the my initial response was in fact not necessary since you were actually using full Tunnel
EDIT: Actually just noticed the the VPN client isnt using Split Tunnel. Its Full Tunnel at the moment since it doesnt have the "split-tunnel-policy tunnelspecified"
So you don't really have any of those.

problem with host Governments 12 import location adobe
Hello
I have problems when I import my pictures from external het X drive. When he start the import of the image it is import
drive X. When it is finished and I expect for the location of the Organizer say are on the disc of Y. When I ask the Organizer to show the location in windows Explorer, it has the right of the road. Whenever I want to see a picture of the complaint of the Organizer regarding the location and want the image reconnet. But what I do more than 13000 image.
Or is it a failure of the installation. Right now I only did the albums so the system is only loaded with pictures.
I found the answer. I unplugged the drive there and the issue of the media. No problem. I plugged the drive there and the problem was there. Then I renamed my drive Y P and imprtet the media once again. Now, all the media remains on the x drive and the problem is solved.

I can ping both the name and the ip address and nslookup resolves names correctly in the research front and rear. All firewall rules look OK. What can possibly be the problem?
Hi Ben,
Your question is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for Windows Server on TechNet. Please ask your question in the Forums of Technet Remote Desktop Services.

Problem of GPS location after updating to IOS 10
Anyone have problems with GPS location problem after update from IOS10?
I drove Baltimore DC Regan airport, I tried with apple and Google map yesterday map, location was far from the highway, he could not determine where we are, we were on the road, but he kept us showing that we were on a local road to the highway. Could not find 90% of time on my road. Finally, I have to use my phone to brother with IOS9, we were fortunate that it has not updated to the most recent IOS 10.
I wonder if anyone has the same problem after the update.
Hello yinchiu85,
I understand that your iPhone seems to have a hard time determining its location precisely. Fortunately, there are a number of steps you can take to help improve the accuracy of the information.
Improve the accuracy of GPS
GPS accuracy depends on the number of visible GPS satellites. Location of all visible satellites can take several minutes, with accuracy gradually increasing over time. To improve the accuracy of the GPS:
- Make sure that you set the date, time and timezone correctly on the device in settings > general > Date & time. If possible, use the value automatically.
- Keep a clear vision in several directions. Walls, vehicle roofs, buildings of great height, mountains and other obstacles can block the line of sight to GPS satellites. In this case, your device uses Wi - Fi or cellular networks to determine your position until the GPS satellites are still visible.
If your iPhone is still unable to pinpoint your position, the next step would be to restore location Services.
If you want to reset all settings to factory default location, go to settings > general > reset and tap reset card and privacy. When your location and privacy settings are reset, apps will be stop using your location until you grant them permission.
On privacy and location in iOS Services 8 and later versions

X230T USB 3 port sleep problem with external Blu - Ray drive
Hi all
I bought a new LG external blu - ray drive and I have problems with it sleeps very quickly. It is recognized in Windows 7 and will be available for a short period of time after I turn it on, but if I don't use it for 30 seconds, it's in a kind of fashion 'sleep'. It works perfectly on the single WE port 2.0 on the X230T so there must be something with the 3.0 port. The drive is powered by an AC adapter and USB 3.0 cable included one.
I tried to disable all the properties sleeping USB in all areas of power management and power options in Windows. Also enabled and disabled USB hub root energy saving. Also, I went through the BIOS and threw the USB options as well and can't find why it is go to sleep so quickly. I have the latest firmware on the drive, as well as the latest drivers Lenovo USB 3.0 for the X230T.
I guess I'm out of luck at this point because I think I've tried all possible solutions?
Thank you.
Hi again,
I have looked on the specs and do not see why this problem should occur. I would make sure that the BIOS is updated, if you have not already. The latest BIOS for your machine is 2.03 and came out a month ago. This update, you can find here. And if this does not work, can you check and publish what are the settings in your BIOS Config > USB Configuration?
Best,
Adam

Problems with wifi, bluetooth and gps in my iphone after updating iOS 6
After that the last iOS 9.3 update my iphone 6 has problems with wifi, bluetooth and gps. Now, my wifi connection is slower and falls easily on a short distance. My bluetooth does the same. But the biggest problem is the GPS on my phone. I tried Island:
-By doing a reset network
-Do a reset total and restore my phone
-To restart my phone twice.
-Audit and third-party applications unnistalling
Nothing works. I was in the apple store where they checked my phone and they say everything is ok with the phone. I'm not crazy, and I know when something does not work correctly. Also, I think it's iOS 9.3 update a reaponsible for my phone issues.
Please fix bugs fast.
Having the same exact problems since the upgrade. In addition, battery drains very quickly now, and sometimes the phone becomes very hot. It took to the Genius Bar and they told me everything was normal in the diagnostic tests. Restored, restarting, etc., and always the same problems. GPS locates me, but then don't follow my movement at all and told to go outside as the gps is not detected even if I am outside. Bluetooth connection to the car and watch grave intermittently. Signal WiFi is greatly reduced and falls easily.
