• Problems with the function of senders blocked

  Outlook Express started just randomly add addresses to the blocked senders list.  I followed the procedure to remove the addresses but it does not work: If again the same address or to another poster is added in its place.  I also tried to delete all addresses from the list of blocked senders (we only had a he start with) and have checked all the boxes in the "message rules" are unchecked.  And I tried to shut down completely after the deletion process, then restarting.  How to stop the problem?  Do we not have a virus?

  You might have some sort of infection or it could be due to corruption of the registry.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 to ensure that its interfering not antivirus or another program.  Then go to file | Identities and establish a new identity.  This will give you a brand new mailbox messages and new registry hive (see www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx for background).  Then add your accounts and see if its working very well.  If this isn't the case, then its likely another program is screw with OE.  If it works fine, then go to file | Import | Messages to bring them from the old identity.

  Also in order to exclude an infection, get something non-invasive such as www.microsoft.com/security_essentials for antivirus and antimalware www.malwarebytes.org

• Problems with Gradient banding

  I'm having some trouble with the tool gradient in Illustrator and I hope that someone can help you. No matter what I do I can not get a smooth mixture color there are still bands or rings. As you can see I have two colors in my gradient and the Gradient slider is in the Middle, but I get a lot of the first color with a rapid transition in the second color. This happens no matter what colors I use I just took these two because they are easier to see the lines. The same thing occurs when I print my moniter is not. My mix options are set on colors. It happens anywhere is my gradient annotator. I've never had this problem before and I don't know what else to try!  Any suggestion would be appreciated!

  I guess the color mode is part of the problem. The tutorial is most likely done in RGB while the TO working in CMYK mode.

  I checked on a MacPro running Acrobat Pro 9.1.2 and all is well in shape. Text is common sense and tab fields in the correct order.

  I have a wall of head/time here. I'm a Word text link in InDesign CS4 and every time I have doing this Indesign emphasizes the value of space after paragraph 3 mm options rather than spaced of 0, which means that all the paragraphs are doubles. I completely formatted the original word doc and reformatted it, and continues to be. Spacing is not double the original Word doc.

  I have to manually change the value in InD which of course breaks whenever I update the text.

  Check the spacing for your [standard paragraph] style options. It looks like the sapcing may have been inadvertently changed then. Also look at the spacing by default in the paragraph or control panel when the text tool is active, but nothing is selected and that you have no insertion point.

• Jump in history in a block of text?

  Is there a way to create a break in the story in a single text block? I'm working on a catalog, and we will use XML auto filling of commodity prices. Most of the products are in their own text frame with their name and their description. Some items, however, only appear under headings such as different sizes of the same product, but they have unique part numbers. The problem is that indesign requires that the history be labelled. Normally that's perfectly fine, and the story just a label of the product number. But I have problems with several numbers in a block of text. I can just create another name for the label of the story and then use the part number as a tag parent for all line items, but when we got to export the data from the spreadsheet that we won't know what products willl need this extra label. The only work arounds I can think is to separate text box for each line (who will be formatting of pain because now I have to make sure all are aligned) or I can link all the text frames in the catalog section, so it's a story... everything also a nightmare to put in shape. Is there another way that I don't know everything? I'm pretty new to InDesign, so I hope that there is an easy way to do what I want.

  By definition, a story is all the text in a single frame, or set of threaded frames, so what you want to do is impossible. You may be able to anchor two stories like inline frames in a larger text block, but this doesn't make much sense to me - if yo have to get the text that you might as well stop there.

  I have the following problems with the above machine:

  (1) I have attached an external series COM port to the machine. However, I can not connect to the COM Port using Hyperterminal.
  (2) I installed a Bluetooth USB adapter, but I can't view the protocol configuration.

  Each of the above works perfectly with another laptop that doesn't have a Bluetooth or even a network card.

  Everyone has experienced similar problems. I use WinXP SP2.

  1, in which is the external COM port connected? Is detected in a straight path in Device Manager? What is the error msg to Hyperterminal?
  When connected via PCMCIA, try to change the settings for PCMCIA slot in the BIOS!

  2, try to reinstall the Toshiba Bluetooth stack! There may be some problems. The MS Bluetooth stack does not work properly with the Toshiba devices and one of the earlier Toshiba Bluetooth stack is not signed by Windows XP Service Pack 2!

I did not quite understand what was going on until I tried to connect to Windows Live Messenger a day and it wouldn't let me not connect due to a problem with the proxy server and important ports...   It is important that you try some of the solutions provided Karena so that we can continue to resolve the problem.
  Here are some important steps to try I think solve the problem:

  Add-ons add functionality (for example, extra toolbars, animated, stock and pop-up blockers mouse pointers) to your web browser. While Add-ons can enhance your online experience, they can sometimes interfere or conflict with other software on your computer. Try to start Internet Explorer without Add-ons to see if the problem goes away. Here's how:

  • Click the button start , click principally made programs, accessories, click System Tools and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

  If disabling all add-ons solves the problem, you can manage add-ons to disable all add-ons and then put modules only as needed. This will allow you to figure out which add-on is causing the problem.

  Open Manage Add-ons

  1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking on the button start . In the search box, typeInternet Explorer, then, in the list of results, click on Internet Explorer.

  2. Click on tools and then click on Manage Add-ons.

  If disabling modules does not resolve the problem, try resetting Internet Explorer to its default settings. This removes all changes that have been made to Internet Explorer since it was installed, but it does not delete your Favorites or flows.

  If WU has this update on the new list, is the original in fact "broken" and need to be replaced?

• problem with TSSTcorp DVD +-RW Drive SN - 208BB driver

  Hi I have a laptop Inspiron Windows 8, only about a month and the DVD continued to show.  I put a cd or dvd and shows nothing.  He makes noises but doesn't show anything.  I ran a material and problem solving devices and it says there is a problem with the above drive and the USB-drive IF port.  I select apply this fix, but it says it can't be fixed and the driver must be reinstalled.

  Ive tried to find this driver on the dell website, and I can't seem to find it.  I think it's a Toshiba product but am really stuck now.  Can anyone help? :(

  Hmm, well I went into Device Manager, uninstalled and it did something and came back!  I tried the same thing with the USB driver, I had trouble with, but who did not return :/  Hmmmm...
