I'm just a helpless user.
All of a sudden cannot re - install iTunes on Win 7 64 PC
Get this iTunes error message:
An error occurred during the installation of assembly Microsoft VC80. CRT. Type = "win32". version etc etc.
Known issue?
Virus?
Difficulty?

Thank you very much!

I lost hours and then abandoned.
Then a miracle happened.
iTunes is back on my Windows 7 computer in the form of iTunes 12.1.2! First installed; No problem.

Problem with Windows 7 64 bit box
Hello
I have a dell inspiron 545MT with integrated hi-definition audio channels that came included
I downloaded the HD audio driver on the dell site.
I recently bought a pair of speakers Philips SPA7360 consisting of a subwoofer + 2 satellite.
These works out of the box, plugged into the subwoofer low socket in Linux, so this is not a problem with the speakers
To juggle with the HD controller under windows, I see
stereo (which gives no sound)
Quad-n/a
5.1 + 7.1, where the left satellite loudspeaker works as the speaker "centre" and the right hand as the subwoofer in the tests... but on trying to play... There is no sound
I only use windows for netflix and at the present time, can use the line-out socket which gives only through his right satellite speaker.
Please note that I have reinstalled windows many times in the past without having to install the drivers from the CD, so I hope that's not the question
Yes, it seems that you have a problem with this decision.

PROBLEM WITH WINDOWS 7 64 BIT & PRINTERS
Hello
My company is replacing all of our window xp machines and we head to widows 7 64-bit. We currently have a print under windows 2003 server.I downloaded the universal readers of hp windows 7 64 bit, the new drivers for a printer, goes \\servername, view the remote printers on a windows 7 64 bit pc, and adding drivers 64-bit configuration. On the print server, I can see in this printer, additional drivers x 64 windows XP and Windows Server 2003 driver installed. My first question is that correct? Shouldn´t I see something like windows 7?After that if I try to add the printer to the pc windows 7, is going to add a wireless network..., select a shared printer name, I always get the error as it is impossible to connect to the printer. Operation failed with error 0x0000007e.However if I try add, using a tcp/ip address or the hostname of the printer is installed ok.Is it possible that something to do with the driver? It is not picking up the right one? Thanks and rgs,Ricardo MendesHello
This solution seems to have worked for multiple users.
Note:
Serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
How to back up and restore the registry in Windows
To connect to your server, start "regedit" and go:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printer
And remove the key, "BIDI" again try to install your printer, it should work.

Sorry just missed your post. 22 of the 35 were directly related to the corruption of memory
These accidents were caused by the corruption of memory (probably a driver). Run these two tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.* Don't forget to download any other DMP files (especially those running auditor)
* If you are overclocking reset all default before running these tests.
In other words STOP! If you don't know what it means that you're probably not1 - Memtest.
* Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. http://www.memtest.org
* Boot from the CD and let it run at least 5 or 6 passes.
* Don't forget, anytime Memtest reports errors, it can be bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.
* Test the sticks individually and if you find a good, test it in all slots.Any error is indicative of a memory problem.
If a well-known stick fails in a slot of motherboard, it's probably the slot.
2. Driver Verifier
Using Driver Verifier is a dubious proposition. Most of the time it will crash and it will tell you what is the driver.* But sometimes it will crash and will not tell you the driver.
* At other times it will crash until you can connect to Windows. If you can't mode without failure, then you will have to resort to editing the registry offline to disable driver verifier.
* I would suggest that you first back up your data and make sure that you have access to another computer so you can contact us in case of problems.
* Then do a system restore point (so you can restore the system using the functionality of Vista/Win7 Startup Repair).
Here is the procedure:
-Go to start and type "auditor" (without the quotes) and press enter
-Select 'Create a custom settings (for code developers)' and click 'Next '.
-Select "Select individual settings from the list complete" and click "Next".
-Select the entire document except for "Low resource Simulation" and click "next".
-Select "Select driver names from a list", then click "next".
* Select all drivers that are NOT supplied by Microsoft and click on "Next".
-On the next page, select "Finish".
* Restart the system and wait as he crashed to blue screen.
* Continue to use your system normally and if you know what are the causes of the crash, do it several times. The objective here is to get the system crash because Driver Verifier is stressing out the drivers. If it is not planted for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation.
* If you are unable to Windows because it crashes too early, try safe mode.
* If you can't mode without fail, try to use the system from the installation DVD restore to bring the system back to the previous point of restoration that you created.* Further reading

Hello
I have the Asus N70SV B1.Specifications: (http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Multimedia_Entertainment/N70Sv/#specifications)
No problems with Windows Vista 64 bit, recognizing the 4 GB of RAM. After the upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit 4 GB installed / usable RAM problem / 3 gb. I also checked the following.
1. I am running windows 7 64 bit, NOT 32 bit, I wouldn't be able to run Adobe After Effects® CS5.5 and Adobe first® Pro CS5.5 elsewise.
2. the unusable 1 GB of RAM is not used by the operating system, it's hardware reserved
3. the video card Nvidia GT 130 m 1 GB, shouldn't need that RAM - it certainly didn't on the factory installed Windows he dedicated RAM.
4. I tried disabling and enabling msconfig - boot - Max memory settings, no option solves the problem.
5. He has no option of memory in the BIOS settings to disable the cache in memory / memory the occultation.* I had to use the 64-bit of Windows Vista sound drivers work correctly with Windows 7 64 bit. So I thought that the version of bios or Vista 64 bit can thus solve the problem usable 4 / 3 gb.
* Yes, I have flashed the bios to Windows Vista 64-bit and that still does not solve the problem. Although the system seems faster, it still shows only 3 GB usable.
There should not be a problem with this bios version seen only with the 64 bit Vista OS recognized all 4 GB. I am confused and have no idea where to go from here.
Please help.

Problem with Windows Installer (I think)
Hey I just got a new 'game' PC with all the good things like i7 processor nvidia GTS 250 graphics card. So I guessed I would setup games. Games were installed very well the problems started when I tried to run SteamInstall.msi he looks ready to install for 1 second and then close and nothing happen. Even try to do once again nothing. So I gave up with it.
Then I installed cod4, codwaw and download for both patches. When I try to install the patches it starts normal and after extractinng saying "" ".msi or msu or something it get stuck on the preparation for installation on both cod4, codwaw games and I think about others too... '".
So I guess that's my Windows Installer problem... ? Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 (problems on SP1 also)
Yoris,
I think that if you had a problem with Windows Installer, then you would have also had a problem installing the games themselves. If after installing just the game, you are able to start the game, then you will need to determine if you really need the patches you install. If they fix game issues and do not add any content, then you may not even need of patches. If it turns out that you do not have the patches and they are self extracting\installing files and then save them to your desktop and then right click and select run as administrator and see if that helps. You can also check with Activision support , because this can be a problem they know. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

Problem with Windows Update after the new installation of Windows 7 Pro the Lenovo ThinkPad X 200
I'm trying to do a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro on a Lenovo ThinkPad X 200. The product key is easy to find on the sticker of the ThinkPad. However, the version of Windows is hidden (for example, I can't check that my ThinkPad had originally installed Windows 7 Pro). I was able to install by using a Pro Win 7 SP1 CD ROM I bought for another installation. I used the ThinkPad I was trying to make the new facility on the product key. I was able to activate the Windows 7 Pro using the phone call and my cell phone. I checked the activation! However, I have problems with Windows update. The product key may be a different version of Windows 7. If so, why did it install and activate OK? Y at - it a fix for this problem or I have to buy a new version of Windows 7 Pro? Please note that I have not yet installed all drivers Lenovo ThinkPad as I can't seem to install correctly. Thank you!
Since the issue is updated to Windows, it is not a product number key.
You can reset the Windows Update components by running the Fixit on this page. But if there is malware present, she will continue to reset the connection to the update servers:
How to reset the Windows Update components

Suggest you download and save the Fixit. Then configure the system before the clean boot by running:
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista/Windows 7

Once the Fixit has been downloaded and the system is started in the pure State, check that the native Windows Firewall is now on if a 3rd party firewall has been used previously. Now run the Fixit and choose the default mode. Restart once it's done and see if the system can be connected to the update servers. If he can't, then rerun the Fixit and choose aggressive mode. Turn it back on when he finished the race and updates.

Portions of this software are based in part on the work of the Independent JPEG Group.I hope someone has a suggestion for this problem... I just bought a new laptop and Windows 7 Professional came installed on it.
Thank you
Linney thanks for your response!
The file I'm trying to install is an exe file (so the SIG file is embedded in the exe file).
I tried the option "Run As Administrator" and it did not work. However, you gave me an idea that has provided a work around that allowed me to install the program.
Once this dialog box is displayed with all the control switches, rather than press 'OK', I left on the screen and went in the 'temp' folder and find the MSI program I tried to install (I cross referenced the timestamp of when I tried to install it to find).
Once I found the updated file, I clicked it, and he proceeded to install the program... I have not had any other problems with the installation.
So, there's something wrong with the way that the exe file have been created and how the files extracted from the msi file (these are files of Intel and Lenovo - driver updates - so I think they do these things) or there is a problem with Windows Installer.
For now, at least, I have a work around I use until I find a solution to this problem of permanent
Thanks for your help and for taking the time to answer!
I hope this can help someone else in the future

I have built this platform with the help of the owner of a store of 4 cumputer teir 2 years ago. We initially put Windows Vista 32 bit on the system to Vista 64 bit unstable atm. For 2 years, the computer worked like a dream. Last week I made a clean wipe of windows vista and windows 7 professional 64-bit installed. The system has two monitors. The primary monitor is a sony bravia with 26 "led and secondary for watching movies is that a 55 '' led Samsung 1080 p 240 Hz. The graphics card is a geforce GTX 295 nividia. It has 12 GB of Ram and the CPU is an i7 965 @3.20.
The problem I have is this. After the installation of any game average to work with windows 7, the screens to reset their resolutions automatically more than a few times as they are confused. Sometimes, I have to return the screen to its correct resolution after installation in full. Most of the games and then run fine. After installing the game or any game designed for win 7 startup of computers is all messed up for the monitors. After starting hand 26 "sets its resolution and then after about a second 30 pause the computer makes the sound (the double) that it is resolutuons to reset monitor again? After that this second reset about 1-2 minutes the computer is good to go, unless it sets the res evil. The problem is the computer has never done that with vista and it is very annoying say the least. It still freezes the installation of some games. The only way to resolve what I found is the restoration of the system. The computer starts normally and screen ground is defined once she has always been. The only problem is when you install another game, the problem is their new. This problem is worse in some games.
The latest nvidia drivers have been installed. There is no conflict in the device with the exception of an old printer Manager. The two comes is set to 60 hertz. I searched all over the internet and there seems to be a problem with windows 7 without solution. I am at a loss. Any other information that you need let me know and I'll post it. Thank you!
Hi ancientone618,
It sounds almost as if there is a Windows update that is in conflict with your NVIDIA Driver Installer. I would say to disable automatic updates of Windows to see if it might help:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-automatic-updating-on-or-off
In addition, please see the article with some useful information:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/work-and-play-better-with-multiple-monitors
I hope this helps!
