Problem with microphone line

After the upgrade to Windows 8.1 my microphone online presents as "not connected" when my Touchsmart 300 PC. It worked fine with Windows 8.

I guess that HP has not yet the right driver. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Thank you

Hi Stavrosv52,

Upgrade of Windows 8 speakers aren't working not.
1. a click right icon "speaker" (right)
2. Select playback device
3. click right speakers
4 activate and as default
5. click apply/OK

Please let me know.

Thank you.

    I also tried to use an external, but still problems with the other person can't hear me, y at - it a setting I can adjust its been to Toshiba and they said that there is no fault.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    In fact internal mic works well with Skype.
    All you need to do is enter the sound options of Skype and check the settings there especially if you use the headset.
    Play around with these settings.

  • Satellite A205-SP5820 - problem with microphones

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba Satellite A205-SP5820, and it's been almost two months that my microphone stopped working (external & the built). Today, I installed three different drivers (the one downloaded from softonic, one page Web from Toshiba and the other from Realtek)
    They still do not work.

    What can I do?
    Thank you.

    That really strange, you have this problem with the internal and external microphone.
    The configuration of the laptop is not known to me, but if you have tried the mixture of different drivers I don't think it is unique to the pre-installed driver.

    I think that best option for you will be clean OS installation but using the Toshiba recovery image you have with your laptop. Toshiba recovery image contains fine work and drivers tested so if the problem will still be there, it can be hardware only question about.

    Clean OS installation option is right for you?

    Hello

    1 - is a built-in microphone? If Yes, what is the brand and model of the computer?

    If not, then what is the brand and model of the Microphone?

    2 did you recent hardware or software changes to your computer before this problem?

    Method 2:

    I suggest you to check if the microphone is set as default as playback devices.
    a. click Start, type Sound in the area start search.
    b. click on his research at the top of the start menu.
    c. click the Read tab. Notice the check mark next to the default device. For most users, the default device is speakers. Make sure that the audio settings are configured as expected. Follow these steps:

  • Problem with animation line flicker/aliasing

    Hi I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on trying to get this smoother animation and a little crisper.

    I know that the quality will be slightly less good in a gif format.

    https://S3.amazonaws.com/uploads.hipchat.com/115279/3089179/b6GFClDGSBHAucu/lines.gif

    Thank you

    Let me give you a few basics. These are things that are not considered by almost everyone that starts working in the video, especially those who come from a print or web design background. Photographers are also victims of a flaw in their knowledge which is understandable because they have never had to deal with things like this before. Here are the facts.

    First Point:
    Video (and everything that comes from digital displays) are always arranged on a grid of pixels. No exception. You can never put a line width of single pixel on this grid of pixels and do appear as a single pixel line, unless it lines up perfectly. Nothing that is not precisely aligned to the pixel grid is interpreted. It is called Anti-aliasing. This means that if your 1-pixel thick line is to halfway between grid display will be the average of the values in this row and you end up with a broad line of two pixels on the screen with each line taking half the value of the color of the original line. In other words if you are not precisely aligned on the grid of your 1-pixel wide black line becomes a 2px wide gray line.

    Second Point:
    Video is composed of images that reading at a particular rate. Your screen also has a refresh rate. Display rate standard in countries that have 60 Hz electricity usually have a refresh rate standard 60 Hz or multiples of a whole number of this rate divider. In countries where electricity is 50 Hz (Europe), the refresh rate is usually 50 Hz. The video frame rate for video in NTSC countries (most of the world) are normalized to 29.97 FPS (there's a reason associated with the problem of broadcasting TV signals in color, but I won't go into that right now). The Standard in PAL countries video frame rate is 25 fps. When you choose a frame rate for your video project which is not the frequency of standard images for your area, you may rate for your video come into conflict with the cadence of your screen. This can cause perfectly smooth motion judder and there is nothing you can do about it, except change the refresh rate of your screen or lift it up with a new high refresh rate capable display or change the frame rate of your video.

    Third Point:

    The average human eye and brain have a property called retinal retention. These effects how we perceive motion. No matter what you do, most people perceive incorrectly flexible movement across their field of vision. Most of the time the brain tries to iron out things and your eyes automatically try and follow this movement. This effect is well understood by the great directors when they block shots and the great directors of photography when they put cameras if your eye is directed to the part of the frame where they want that to get you to understand the history.

    Fourth Point:
    There is a strobe effect that applies to all the movements. For example, if you watch an old movie on TV western, you will sometimes see the wheels of the car rotate backwards. Smart of an airplane propeller video phone can show you that strange Sword-shaped blades turn slowly or even backwards. It's the interaction between pace and movement. The only way to create videos that shows the movement correctly and in the right direction is to match the query of the cadence.

    Fifth Point:
    Work around the fine lines, turning it into a thicker lines is to disable interpolation. You can do in After Effects by selecting quality draft. With quality lit project, you will always have a thick black line of single pixel. This solves a problem, but worse the other. The problem of the stroboscopic effect. To make your single pixel with black line SOUPLESE you must match the query of the line to the frame rate. You move 1 pixel by image or 2 pixels per image or 3 pixels per image or 4. You cannot move to 1.4 or 2.8 pixels per image. It won't wok, it would never work.

    Sixth Point:
    Even if you perfectly fit the pixel grid movement, you can still run on the retinal retention problem and frame rates. Every Director of professional photography with a value of his day rate knows that there are critical speeds of Pan - speeds during which you can not move the camera in a scene and offer a scene that doesn't pan and look terrible. Jerking can be so bad that it gives people headaches and worse. The frequency of images the more cautious, be with the camera. When the video cameras of 24 frames per second were introduced a whole bunch of people came back with horrible images. Shots that run at 29.97 work at 24. Cadence, retention of the retina, strobe effect and your brain combined with no fixed focal point for your eyes to focus on and track combine to fault up to the shooting and of the query.

    The solution:
    When you want to animate a thin line, you're better off at 29.97 frames per second that anything slower. 30 is OK if you go never broadcast or DVD to watch on a TV. You can use an expression to control the movement, so that your line moves exactly an even number of pixels per image. If your design requires that go you faster you must hide the problem with motion blur. If you want to lighten in and clear it of movement then you must hide the problem of aliasing with motion blur. Smooth long moves must be exactly to an even number of pixels per image. You have more options of speed at a higher speed. Even at a higher speed, you will encounter the problem of the sixth Point.

    The evidence:
    Any problem of smoothing by giving you the discount gray lines load the rendering of your lines animated in AE and step as part of an animation at the same time. Baring any cache image and to make the issues I bet that your animation will run without difficulty from one image to the other. It is only when the video plays back at speed that your eyes and your brain will tell you that the movement is uneven.

    Certain standards:
    Go to a cinema and watch the end titles. It takes about 7 or 8 seconds (depending on the height of the frame) for securities to roll from the bottom of the screen upwards. The second seven rule is pretty standard. With 29.97 FPS 1 video per image pixel, 2 pixels per image and 4 pixels per image work well enough for most applications. When you find a speed frame rate works for your video, it's the frame size and it is write it down. Use it again and again.

    This is an expression that works at the speed of the animation and allows blur to apply to your image. You can do the movement meet the markers if you want to start and stop. I have a bunch of preset animations that I use all the time for that style of animation.

    Bottom-up:

    t = time;

    en = t/thisComp.frameDuration;

    x = value [0];

    s = 4; Speed in pixels per image must be an integer

    y = value [1] - (fr * s);

    [x, y]

    Left to right:

    t = time;

    en = t/thisComp.frameDuration;

    y = value [1];

    s = 4; Speed in pixels per image must be an integer

    x = value [1] - (fr * s);

    [x, y]

    If you wish to reverse the direction, you can add a sign less in the final table or apply the term of anchor instead of position. These expressions take the initial starting position of the layer as a starting point. Both are moving to 4 pixels per image. To start and stop the movement, the simplest method is to split the layer, add the expression, let the layer move, then divide the layer again and delete the expression. If you are handy with expressions, you can bind the movement to layer markers, and then just move the markers for start and stop, or even reverse the direction of a single layer.

    If you don't want to mess with all those unbreakable rules then jack up motion blur and uses a higher cadence with thicker lines and hidden defects. There are no other solutions.

  • Problems with the line below 1 pt thickness

    In Illustrator CS6, when I draw a horizontal line with the pen tool or the line tool, the weight of the line can be set below 1 pt.  If I draw the line at an angle, I set the line thickness to be less than 1 pt.  If I change this line from diagonal to horizontal position, the weight of the line snaps back on 1 pt.  Does anyone have an idea why this is happening or how to fix it? Thank you!

  • GREP to find the end of the name of the author of history (problems with several lines)

    Screen shot 2010-08-10 at 11.11.37 AM.png

    I don't get these documents and I can understand how to use GREP to search for each source name/quote author. I have problems with the above example. I think it's because of paragraph returns, possibly something to do with the comma. I've fiddled around for an hour, tent multi and expressions of the one line and still can not understand.

    It's what works for the most part:

    (? < = \r)\s*[–][-\u\l]+(?=\Z)

    Screen shot 2010-08-10 at 11.32.42 AM.png

    If you can count on having the line beginning with an en dash (possibly after an unused space), this should do it:

    ^\s*~=.+\Z

    The ^ indicates start of a line, while (?)<=\r) relies="" on="" a="" hard="" return:="" ^="" will="" also="" match="" start="" of="" story,="" and="" all="" sorts="" of="" hard="" page/column="">

    Do not "anticipate" \Z; Since it is also an indicator of the place, like ^ and $, there can never be "selected" in the traditional sense of the term. (Which is the reason why allowing you a \r postanalyse, because * will * be selected if not).

    Your example of Homer Simpson was rejected because of the hard return and the comma - or were in your list of approved characters.

    I think opt for the period more ('get all') should work, but it is not - by default - search returns. This is where the modifier of Single-Line can help you. A brief description of the single-line Mode is that it allows the period correspond to a return as well. the history is considered one long line, with possibly a few \r codes that are not treated as special programs.

    It will work for GREP search only:

    ( ? s)^\s*~=.+\Z

    but not for the GREP styles. A GREP style still works only for a single paragraph; You can have a \r code anywhere in the expression. Oddly enough, TI work if you draw a soft line break in this last line - the strange thing is, the style GREP also needs (? s), so, apparently, at this level the soft line break is also considered a line break.
    Furthermore, your example of Homer Simpson has an additional line below, and causing trouble because there is no \Z just after what you want to find. Allowing returns will add that last line in your search, which may not be what you want either. Replace the hard return by a soft will also solve part.
  • problem with adding line in tabular form after that put 4.1.1 to level

    We have recently installed the Update 4.1 .1. We now have a problem with some of our tabular forms created using the wizard. The delete and update feature works fine, but when trying to insert a new record, it will insert only the first record, but after that, it will no longer inserts. It acts as ApplyMRU (updated online Multi) is not at all shooting. No success or error message. I tried to create forms based on the rowid and also on the suites (with and without triggers), and they all behave the same way.

    This happens both in IE and Mozilla. Tabular forms were working fine before the upgrade.

    Everyone knows this?

    We just hit this issue and thanks to this thread and a light bulb above my head, resolved this question today. There is more to the story. Copy the necessary images in place works, but get the full version 4.1.1 images.

    We were already on 4.1.0.00.32, so I applied only Patch 13331096 upgrade to 4.1.1.00.23. Patch 13331096, at least one that I downloaded a few weeks ago IS NOT ALL OF THE NECESSARY IMAGES.

    Fortunately, I thought to download both. When I did a number of files in the directory images between the full version and the patch, the County came up short for the patch.

    If you have this problem, get your hands on the full release 4.1.1.00.23, NOT Patch 13331096and copy these files to image in place. Who sets the we.

  • Problems with microphone? + other multimedia USB device asks :)

    Hello

    I have an Equium A60-181 and he doesn't seem to like my headset which I believe is one of these types of condenser, which needs a power supply.

    It works fine on 2 of my PC sound cards and my old laptop but not the tosh. I had a quick look in the settings of the sound card, there is no option to 'feed' the microphone. Am I to understand that they did not bother to put this feature in their microphones condenser produced portable computer are the microphones commonly used for computers?

    There is also no line-in on this laptop which is a little inconvenient since I wanted to make the bass real time video coding pity really the RealTek does some funky features with its sound chips.

    As a solution to my lack of line-In I was thinking of buying a USB SoundBox something like a creative labs. Anyone here tried a USB SoundBox are fast reliable low latency etc.?
    I plan on buying a video encoder ZIO CAMERAMATE VIDEOSAFE USB CM53000. They are all good or could someone recommend another brand best one making double capture of field (> 288 lines).

    See you soon,.

    Hello

    I put t know what kind of headphones you use but my is simple and works very well. I use it mainly with Skype and there is no problem. The sound quality is good. One of my friends has a Tecra laptop and it don micro need because there is a built-in screen coverage.

    In my opinion the microphones and video stuff are specific things and each user must search for only the right solution. Last year I tried to connect my VCR VHS to my protégé. I used Pinnacle studio moviebox. It is also connected to the laptop using the USB port. I had no problem and I was able to save all my old videos on the HARD drive. Quality was not brilliant but good enough.

    I'm sure that the USB video encoder will work correctly with your A60. It is just important to read user manuals and see what is the right way to install it correctly.

  • Satellite Pro P300-13i / XP SP3 / problem with microphone

    Just bought a P300-13i and a beautiful machine, it's too. It came with a XP Recovery disk for playing for a few minutes then with Vista to check all knitted OK I brought back to XP (you need to be reliable and v quickly...) I'm a "one man band") and everything seemed to go smoothly with one exception v.

    The machine is supplied with a built-in webcam and microphone. Since the downgrading to XP microphone does not at all well (poor sound volume and a lot of apparent interference) - I confirm with Vista, it worked impeccably well.

    Called Tosh who tried to get a boost function to work... but they could not find. Same re - load the driver concerned but still no result. My problem was apparently 'high', but I guess that's fancy talk for "we can not help you" because I have not heard for over a week now...

    I was wondering if there was a spark out there that may be able to help me... also borrowed USB a friend and who has worked well... but obviously bought a machine with a microphone built-in microphone, I don't want to have to lug round, a plug in mic with me as well!

    The machine is heavy enough as it is!

    Look forward to hearing from someone.

Ive tried everything to lower the amp microphone configuration with improvements everything and nothing works! I need to use you mic but can't when his garbage please help me

    Hello

    Have you already checked the Windows audio settings if the Microphone is on and the Microphone sound level is not set to 0? (Just go in Control Panel > hardware and sound > manage audio devices)

    First try to move your laptop to another location and check. If have any magnetic device such as speaker or TV this may cause static noise. As you have tried troubleshooting of Windows, sounds like unwanted material. Follow these steps and check if that helps:

    Step 1: check the microphone settings in the control panel-> sound-> recording tab
    Here, you should see two entries; internal microphone and external microphone port. The internal mic must be enabled.

    In addition, the internal mic belongs to the webcam. In the assistant webcam-> settings-> audio tab, you can increase the maximum microphone volume.

    Step 2: Reload the audio driver may resolve this problem.

  • Problem with microphone on iOS - bug or bad code?

    Hi all

    It seems that the use of the micro class freezes my Flex app. I provided the code below, but here is an overview:

    • This only happens on iOS - specifically my iPhone 4. I have not seen this problem on Android devices.
    • My code alternated recording and records don't not - 5 seconds to one, then 5 seconds of each other, then repeat over and over again.
    • I have reduced this to a 'minimum' example (see code below) which does this. It does not use data etc. coming the Microphone is not create or fill a ByteArray.
    • The application always crashes. In some cases, this happens when he worked only 2-3 minutes, in all cases, it happens in half an hour. I did 10 sets of tests and the average is 15 minutes.

    My application is a language learning app and recording and playback of the voice of the user is an important feature. It allows the user to hear how their pronunciation matches that of a native speaker. When recording / reading is marketed the software repeatedly plays a few sound recordings, the voice of the user, it reads, the more audio plays, etc.. In other words, it includes features similar to the minimal case code I included here. Users often use this feature 30 minutes or more. It is therefore a problem.

    I'm doing something wrong in my code? Just checking before I report it as a bug.

    You can download an FXP from here if you are interested:

    http://www.Brightworks.com/downloads/RecordingTest.FXP

    Alternatively, the important code is below. This is the display (only) of the sample application.

    Can someone help me please? I reinstalled my Vista and my microphone does not work. When I try to plug in my headphones, they are also dead. Nobody knows what kind of drivers can be responsible for this?

    And how you try reinstalling Vista? Using the recovery image (factory settings) or you try to install the clean version of Vista?

    Sorry, but I don't see any sense why you are doing this. Your laptop comes with Vista. Is there a particular reason to achieve?
