Problem with Solarwinds Dameware according to 5.3

Hello new gang!

I've recently updated and rebuilt all of our Office pools under view 5.3.  Since then, the product that we used to use for logging in remote offices, Solarwinds Dameware, does not connect to the desktop of the user.  It wasn't a problem before.  The only other variable is I also ran the optimization of display Windows 7/8 process .bat file on all new desktop computers.  He could have something in this process that could block the remote control like Dameware software now?

Yes, we did.  It turns out that it wasn't a problem with DameWare at all.  It is in DHCP and DNS.  Our view desktop computers run DHCP and DNS records were not refreshing the new IP address to the expiry of the current lease.  That caused the weird connection and installation issues that we take.  Our network administrator fixed this problem and now all view desktop computers can be remote to, even with the mirror driver.  So, for not responding earlier!

    I was hoping that someone could help with this.

    My dad's Mac has a problem with the cursor. It uses the trackpad and when you try to click on a link, it will not work. The arrow does not change into a symbol of the 'hand' and it can not click on it. This makes it almost impossible to navigate. It seems that the links are not recognized. He tried to use a mouse via the USB port and nothing changes.

  • Problem with the volume on Satellite Z30 control - A

    I have a problem with the analog output sound on my A - Z30 (internal and line/headphone speakers). If for example I play music I see a clearly weak signal volume on the fader control of volume in my Win 8.1 source volume control. But on the master fader, I get a completely saturated and distorted signal. Even down to the time source and output does not help... it just sounds horrible.

    I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of the drivers for my sound card. But this problem is very persistent. It seems that something pulls the signal up, but I can't find any control that turns off.

    I'm not completely sure when that started, but it can be connected with the beginning of the use of a USB headset. But I already uninstalled this software once again, but that did not help as well.

    I'm having a frustrating problem with calendar projects. When the project is exported to another preview of pdf or simply buy, the months at the bottom of the page text appears as very low.     I ran into the same problem - my iPhoto calendar month text was small for a reason, and I couldn't change it to a larger font size. I decided to take a look at the way iPhoto stores project data and discovered that it is a simple SQLite table.

    Here is a fix, guaranteed to work.  We will open your iPhoto projects database and edit the details of the police directly by hand, because there is no way to fix this in iPhoto (Apple, correct this bug...)

    This seems much more difficult that it is what is serious effort of 10 minutes.

    1. Get SQLite Browser http://sqlitebrowser.sourceforge.net/
    2. Quit iPhoto and launch the browser of SQLite
    3. Open a new finder window and open the pictures folder located in your home directory
    4. You should see a section in your folder of photos called "iPhoto Library".  Right click and choose "Show Package Contents" because we need to edit a file inside the library
    5. Search for "Projects.db."  Right click and choose "Duplicate" to make a backup in case something goes wrong
    6. Drag and drop the "Projects.db" in the application being SQLite Browser
    7. Click on the button "browse data".
    8. Select the 'KHProject' in the menu dropdown "Tables".
    9. You will see a list of your iPhoto projects.  Locate your calendar project by browsing this list and especially the values in the column 'name '.  When you have found your calendar project, take note of the number in the column 'modelID '.
    10. Change to the "KHProjectTextStyle" table using the drop "Tables".
    11. Locate a line in the table "KHProjectTextStyle", where the number in the column matches 'projectID' 'modelID' you noted in step 9, and where the value "IdentificateurStyle" is "Photo-calendrier-CalendarMonth.
    12. On the line drawn in step 11, look at the value of the column "fontSize".  For my broken calendar, he was "6".  It's much too small, that you can barely read 6 points.
    13. Double-click the "fontSize" value (for me, I double-clicked the value '6')
    14. Replace the '6' '54.  Do not press on enter, just change the '6' '54"and click the button"Apply Changes ".
    15. You're done! Simply click on the disc icon in the browser of SQLite to save your changes (or file-> save)
    16. Open iPhoto and enjoy your calendar fixed

    Hope that helps some of you, this worked 100% for me on several projects of calendar.  If you see not the font size change, make sure that you have identified the correct project in step 8 and make sure you change the "fontSize" for this project, on the line where the value "IdentificateurStyle" is "Photo-calendrier-CalendarMonth.

    If something was terribly wrong, you did a backup in step 5 (right?) and just delete the "Projects.db" you have edited and rename "Projects.db" of the backup.  You can then try again, or not.

    I send my calendars to print this week and will see if there are any questions.  I don't anticipate any problems.

    Don't forget to back up your library before you try the hack of the database file.

    I was found no more information on the subtitles in the TV manual. I put t think there is an option to increase the size of the font. Probably he also according to the name of the file.

    I understand that you have installed the driver and it works fine.  When you checked the diagnostics you became confused because it says graphic R5 but you R7.

    According to the specifications of your laptop you have AMD Quad - Core A8 - 6410 APU with graphics Radeon R5 (2 GHz, 2 MB cache).

    Here is a link to the 17-f002sm HP Pavilion Notebook product specifications to confirm this information. I hope that this eliminates any confusion.

  • Major problems with all versions of Skype 6. Need help

    So I do experience wih prolems any version of Skype 6.

    When he settled at the time when I restarted the PC, it has been updaed to 6.18 (appears as Skype 6.3 in "Add/Remove Programs" just for that, say.)
    Now, I'm fine with that, as I have means that some the Skype service works.
    What I am not satisfied, is that Skype does not load.

    Picure this:
    An older model netbook (Acer Ferrari One 200 to be am.), running on the same OS, it came with 4 years earlier and used by my moher to do computer mundane things like banking online and facebook.
    It has seen better days... but everything worked. And since it uses the PC for skyping with family, she needs.

    Skype loads its window, but it has a white screen and when I hover above the mouse keeps flickering from the top down and with the loading circle.

    I went to uninstall Internet Explorer 11 of the option "Turn on / off Windows features.
    The second PC started after the RS, Skype loaded correctly.
    This means that Skype needs files are only some of the updates surrounding and not IE itself.
    From this perspective, that would mean that these updates should be part of the updates required for Windows 7 and not optional according to it if we have IE installed or not, or at least now that Skype is owned by Microsoft that these updates should be added if Skype is present, if Internet Explorer is present.
    If here belong to other programs like Skype that are Microsot who require these updates to work, they should be added to the update list if this specific program is present on a Windows 7 system.
    It makes no sense that the functionality of the program, a program owned by Microsoft, would not have these done updates availible for her if Internet Explorer 11 is not present on the system.
    I know this is a problem with very little, but it's always a program however.
    What can be done to fix this?

  • Errors/problems with my brand-new Equium A200 15I (including video material)

    I am treated to a new computer laptop last Saturday and only had for about 3 and a half days so far but I noticed a few things that I wasn't sure were errors/defects or if it was simply because its news, like the fact that sometimes I type with the keyboard and some letters do not appear on the screen , I think it's probably more to do with me not type or support pretty strongly on the keys rather than anything else, his is not so much now... the touchpad becomes a bit sticky too and he thinks I want to scroll up and down when I move the cursor does not scroll sometimes but I managed to make it work I think that most laptops have glitches like that and no doubt I could help fix it in calibrating the pad (?) touch I did have time to consider the issue and yet if...     I know there is a topic on a similar error, but I didn't want end-to-end on this discussion because I assume that it should be for this mistake of people who will be discussed, mine may be slightly different, I don't know...     The thing is, I had read somewhere online that there is a problem with the graphics or video cards. I had read that they can be glitchy and sometimes break after a year. I also asked my father about it and we looked at it as a graphics card Intel that came with this laptop, which it is, and we counted that the Intel chips is as reliable as any other brand really... so I don't think there should be a problem, well that is there I have until September next for repair prior to the expiration of the warranty!

    What surprises or sort of worry, however, is that the error message was only introduced to me this morning. It dates from error, as having occurred at 19:53. I use it at night last, and infact, I went to take a shower and I put the laptop down before you go take a shower at around 19:35, I assumed that its ok just close the lid and it would automatically go into hibernate mode or something similar (?) im wondering if that had something to do with it as I 19:53 would have been about when I came back and lifted the lid/screen again to use the laptop again... I can only assume, given the time, he cites, is what caused the failure?

    It gives me the option to "update driver software" and "hardware change analysis" in the Device Manager, can I run both, or one of those who maybe? is this a common problem? should I worry at all etc...

Also in terms of whats installed, I have quite a few programs, for graphics, I have an old version of Paint Shop Pro, which I installed it yesterday morning, it seems to install fine, it is Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7, I have also some programs of converter (for files vid, 3GP and other things), scan antivirus AVG, Spybot Search & Destory DBPowerAmp, FTP Commander, Quicktime and Real Player, pretty basic stuff like that, nothing, just my old photos and vid files I transferred from my old laptop XP to it, in my documents... I don't have all the Senior Games motorized or complicated or anything else like that installed. Also at that time, indicates the video hardware error message, everything that was in progress when I got the cover down (or before putting the lid down) would have been Windows Live Messenger (although I'm pretty sure that I registered before putting the lid down) and an IE window , im pretty sure that's it, I was not working on anything just check the ' net...

    There are other things I noticed as I thought that maybe I should mention (?), something I've noticed he's doing is the screen goes blank and then back very quickly, a lot. I already asked about it a day or so there at that time, I realized he was only doing that before loading the "Windows needs your permission to continue" window/message, who apparently its supposed to do and something to with the computer to switch to display the normal desktop to the secure desktop, I kind of understand lol.
    So I think that's not something to worry about but I noticed during the lastday, that the screen seems to do it more, goes blank then back again, even if the authorization message does not appear.

    For example, this morning, when I first put on and am went to check out my home page, I clicked on a link at the bottom of the page or anywhere where to load another page into the site and display deleted for a while before coming back a second later with the requested page. Is this normal too? or an associated Vista glitch, or is it possible that there may be a small problem with the monitor? Incase of im guessing it can be more than one thing in Vista, but I thought I would ask here, I decided to not pay for any extra insurance/warranty extension because I am very careful with my items and take care of them and so I'm being careful to try to spot defects early, while they may be repairable under the basic warranty and what-not...

    Another thing I noticed is that start with, when I pressed on and kept the 'FN' key, a variety of icons, black and white appeared on the screen that told me what F button (s) to use to make certain adjustments, there still is that when I try right now, but at other times, it does not show icons , no matter how long I hold down the "fn". That didn't matter because I can tell by the symbols on the keyboard press what buttons but its just inconsistent, is there a reason why sometimes the row of icons on the screen will appear when I press and hold the "FN" key and other times it doesn't show at all?

    Also sometimes if I move the slider to the right to the top of the screen, these icons loading as they always seem to be located at the top of the screen, but sometimes it's a problem, if im trying to click on something else and one of these icons rises instead... I'm sure that you can disable this option in sort , but I'd be worried that the icons do not always show when I press and hold the right Button (?) just try to be careful!

    I think that this post is long enough and I don't see what else I could possibly add to help, so I'll leave this here. I don't want to sound too paranoid, but thought it is better to talk about this kind of things incase someone recognizes these defects/errors and can recommend a way fast to resolve potential problems before they can develop into what whether it is worse...     . Regarding your questions on this laptop well. Looks like you have installed many applications and 3 third party programs. In such cases, it s not easy to say if these problems are software or hardware related. But I guess that its software.

    I checked your screenshot pic, but I've never seen this error message. But it looks like something wrong with the graphics driver. The message says something, live events of kernel
    The core services are required by other parts of the operating system as for example graphics card driver.

    The year last January or February my friend give me his newest Qosmio G30. I ve used a month. I've install my favorite games and I also used it to scan all my movies of course done.

    The laptop has been pre-installed with Vista, but we have also installed Windows XP Home edition on the second partition to check the performance in the two operating systems. WXP works perfectly and after some personal configurations that Vista was also good working operating system. I recorded a hours of movies, he coded and burned about 20 DVDs. So I hope you believe me that this laptop has been uninterrupted on the race. Encoding is not short and portable process runs almost 24 hours a day.

    After a month of use I didn't noticed anything negative and I can say that the Qosmio G30 is a fabulous laptop. Unfortunately a bit expensive for me.
    I don't know what you're doing with expensive products, but I always buy the extended warranty to avoid a risk of material damage. I don't want to pay for costly repairs. For my new LCD TV I paid about 130 euros for 2 years warranty. Now I don't what will happen over the next 4 years.

    Thus, everyone has their own way how to use laptop and to discuss the system collapse, lose the work during treatment, slowing my productivity is not so easy. Who knows what applications, freeware or shareware you stuff use? Who knows what make your system unstable?

    I use my Satellite 17 nearly 2 years of work and private things and I always use original preinstalled Vista. Why I don't have this kind of problems?
    This with scratches on the screen is too strange for me. I wonder how this can happen. After closing the cover of the display, the screen is protected and there is no chance to make scratches on it.

    One last thing: maybe I didn t understand you well, but what is your problem with the driver updated, updated BIOS or corrections? Each laptop manufacturer offers different updates or upgrades to improve performance, better security, or functionality of the software. If possible, buy extended warranty to be on the safe side, try to have the right operating system, from time to time do the backup data, make sure that the laptop is placed correctly on the desktop to avoid overheating and I'm sure you'll use your Qosmio for a long time.
