Problem with Windows Paint in Windows 7 Professional

It is a small problem which is very irritating.

I have been using Windows Paint for years, but the question I'll describe had been spent in the past two weeks.

A personal project, I use a black background in Paint to type text (Random example attached.

Anyone who had typed the text in Paint knows that you start a new first line of text, a box to type the text.  My irregular deadlines is with this box.  The four sides of the box used to be very thin lines which I have learned so much used to it.  However, in the last two weeks, the lines became very thick - like 5 - 6 times the thickness of the old.  It is a problem because of the difficulties it causes to align the left edge of the text with the lines of text above it.  (There is no way to set margins in paint and I accept it because it's basically an installation of images rather than text).

Here the random example of the way in which I am currently using paint.

I see nothing to configure in my painting here, so I don't know how to help.  But you really should consider a program more suited to the limits of flow and the image text.  Same Word or WordPad could really help you, which means that the text could be changed (where in the painting he gets "locked in" when you click outside of it).

I have built this platform with the help of the owner of a store of 4 cumputer teir 2 years ago. We initially put Windows Vista 32 bit on the system to Vista 64 bit unstable atm. For 2 years, the computer worked like a dream. Last week I made a clean wipe of windows vista and windows 7 professional 64-bit installed. The system has two monitors. The primary monitor is a sony bravia with 26 "led and secondary for watching movies is that a 55 '' led Samsung 1080 p 240 Hz. The graphics card is a geforce GTX 295 nividia. It has 12 GB of Ram and the CPU is an i7 965 @3.20.

The problem I have is this. After the installation of any game average to work with windows 7, the screens to reset their resolutions automatically more than a few times as they are confused. Sometimes, I have to return the screen to its correct resolution after installation in full. Most of the games and then run fine. After installing the game or any game designed for win 7 startup of computers is all messed up for the monitors. After starting hand 26 "sets its resolution and then after about a second 30 pause the computer makes the sound (the double) that it is resolutuons to reset monitor again? After that this second reset about 1-2 minutes the computer is good to go, unless it sets the res evil. The problem is the computer has never done that with vista and it is very annoying say the least. It still freezes the installation of some games. The only way to resolve what I found is the restoration of the system. The computer starts normally and screen ground is defined once she has always been. The only problem is when you install another game, the problem is their new. This problem is worse in some games.

The latest nvidia drivers have been installed. There is no conflict in the device with the exception of an old printer Manager. The two comes is set to 60 hertz. I searched all over the internet and there seems to be a problem with windows 7 without solution. I am at a loss. Any other information that you need let me know and I'll post it. Thank you!

    Hi ancientone618,

It sounds almost as if there is a Windows update that is in conflict with your NVIDIA Driver Installer.  I would say to disable automatic updates of Windows to see if it might help:

  • Problem with Windows 7 Professional

I have a computer here is Windows 7 Professional. This computer is used mainly for other users to access host files to. very regularly a user will create a file on a computer to be seized to another computer and that file will be created and remain on this Windows 7 PC Pro. We have 2 users who are constantly 'give up' their connection with this computer, at this time there, you need to restart the computer and they reconnect and be able to use it until it falls again.

I tried the mapping of the IP address instead of the name of PC (\\EWS), I disabled the "net config autodisconnect' and I disabled the Power Saver utility for the NETWORK adapter in Device Manager. I tried to look through the event log for anything that can provide information, but because we have about 54 PCs that access the same computer, there is a lot of information in there and understand it is way beyond my abilities.

It may be interesting to note that we have many computers (approx. 54) that connect to this computer and among them there are only 2 that are abandoned. It may also be interesting to note that these computers are used to run equipment that may or may not be quite old and used Windows 3.11 and the other is using Windows XP (Embedded).

At first, I was sure that the issue lied with 2 computers that are declining, however, we have recently set up a \SCANNED\ on EWS folder and set all our printers to direct images scanned in this folder so that users can access their analyses of any computer they use on the network. These printers are also constantly fallen since this computer and unable to send scans to it.

I appreciate any help that anyone can provide with this question and thank you in advance.

    Francisco,

You could simply stop the Microsoft Essentials if it's getting in the way.

Prevent the Microsoft Antimalware Service starts automatically

If you cannot find the software under the name mentioned in the article, locate the service called Windows Defender.

The same rule applies: set the service to manual start or disable the service.

Opinions differ on the question of whether Microsoft Essentials / Defender should indeed be removed or If disabling services is sufficient.

    1. what issues you experienced with Windows XP?

    2. do you get a code error message when you try to load Windows?

As you already have a recovery disk, you can use it to reinstall Windows.

Note: You will lose all data on the computer when you try to reinstall Windows using the recovery disk.

I hope someone has a suggestion for this problem... I just bought a new laptop and Windows 7 Professional came installed on it.

    Thank you

    Linney thanks for your response!

The file I'm trying to install is an exe file (so the SIG file is embedded in the exe file).

I tried the option "Run As Administrator" and it did not work.  However, you gave me an idea that has provided a work around that allowed me to install the program.

Once this dialog box is displayed with all the control switches, rather than press 'OK', I left on the screen and went in the 'temp' folder and find the MSI program I tried to install (I cross referenced the timestamp of when I tried to install it to find).

Once I found the updated file, I clicked it, and he proceeded to install the program... I have not had any other problems with the installation.

So, there's something wrong with the way that the exe file have been created and how the files extracted from the msi file (these are files of Intel and Lenovo - driver updates - so I think they do these things) or there is a problem with Windows Installer.

For now, at least, I have a work around I use until I find a solution to this problem of permanent

  • Problem with Windows Installer (I think)

Hey I just got a new 'game' PC with all the good things like i7 processor nvidia GTS 250 graphics card. So I guessed I would setup games. Games were installed very well the problems started when I tried to run SteamInstall.msi he looks ready to install for 1 second and then close and nothing happen. Even try to do once again nothing. So I gave up with it.

Then I installed cod4, codwaw and download for both patches. When I try to install the patches it starts normal and after extractinng saying "" ".msi or msu or something it get stuck on the preparation for installation on both cod4, codwaw games and I think about others too... '".

So I guess that's my Windows Installer problem... ? Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 (problems on SP1 also)

    Yoris,
I think that if you had a problem with Windows Installer, then you would have also had a problem installing the games themselves.  If after installing just the game, you are able to start the game, then you will need to determine if you really need the patches you install.  If they fix game issues and do not add any content, then you may not even need of patches.  If it turns out that you do not have the patches and they are self extracting\installing files and then save them to your desktop and then right click and select run as administrator and see if that helps.  You can also check with Activision support , because this can be a problem they know.
