Qosmio G30 - 177 broken graphics card

Hello

It seems that I have a broken in my G300 graphics card.
The start screen (choice of the bootable media) resembles the matrix ;-(
While windows starts, it looks like vertical stripes. The boot process stops with a blue screen.
It is also on the internal screen and an external monitor.

-What is my idea of the broken graphics card right?
Can I replace the graphics card?

Your Rüdiger

Hi Rüdiger

I have the same problem and the effect like you with my G30-155 since today afternoon.
I really wonder now what great chance it may be that we have both the same problem at the same time.

Can we not we both had a virus that made the grafic card?

Any help and advice are welcome.

Concerning Charly

You will meet many people who has the same attention but I can tell you that this is not possible.

And this isn't only a deal with Toshiba laptops, but it is usually not possible on all laptops from different manufacturers.

    Hello

Qosmio G30-177 seems to belong to the series of PQG32E.
I checked the page European driver of Toshiba and found the Qosmio Player Utility ONLY for a Win XP MCE.

    > After research by myself on this forum, I think it's because I don't have a partition for Qosmio Player
You can very easily check. Check the Vista disk management s. There you will find all available on the HARD disk partitions. You can check if the partition is there.

    Map: Kingston SD 2GB 120 x Ultimate (SD / 2GB - U)

I installed Service Packs (Windows Update) and installed all updates of the toshiba support homepage.

    Hello

Recovery image is preinstalled on your Qosmio laptop?
SD host controller appears correctly in the Device Manager?
The card is recognized correctly in Windows Explorer when you insert it?
What happens when you click on it in Windows Explorer?
Have you tried formatting the card?

Sorry for all these questions but perhaps should give us more comments. Read this description of problem a single sentence is not easy to say something concrete about it.

  • Qosmio F10 - broken graphics card

    Hello

I have a Qosmio F10, but unfortunately the graphics card is broken on it, if anyone knows if it can be repaired without having a new card mother 'expensive '!

My warranty has expired at the beginning of this year so I'm worried about how much it will cost, all my personal files and data are always on it, so is it still possible to take down them with her still divided?

I have power get sill on the machine, but nothing lights up the screen and the fan is constantly at full power.

    Hi Paul

This is a very silly situation, I assume that you will not be able to repair the laptop without a motherboard replacement.
Set the id of the graphics card on the mobo and it s not possible to easily remove it from the motherboard.

If you want to save your data and files of ads please remove the laptop HARD drive and connect it to another computer via the external USB HDD controller.
These external HDD 2.5 case are not expensive and you can buy it in every store of the computer.

  • Qosmio G40-10 s: graphics card problem

    Hello.

I have a Toshiba Qosmio G40 laptop 10s with a Nvidea 8600 M GT grafixs card. I was playing a game when it locked up and pasted what I would describe as flashing red/green 'Matrixy' search screen.

He then a blue screen and trys to reeboot.
He tries to start windows, but once again the top matrix. If it loads to the top, it is in 16 bit color with red dots all over the screen.

I am sure that the GPU is fried... and I was wondering what I can do? It's been 5 months out of warranty now.

I read on some forums that there have been a lot of problems with this Nvidea card... Is there anything I can do outside my warranty period with what there is a possibly faulty card in it from the beginning.

It will cost a lot of money to get it repaired, but its too good a laptop to let go to waste.

    Any help is very appreciated.

    Hello

You also have these lines on an external monitor?
If so, there seems to be a graphics card problem and it must be replaced.

These overheating problems also occur if you use the nVidia display drivers directly. Toshiba drivers are pre-tested and don't overheat your system.

But I think you need professional help. You should contact an authorized service provider and talk to the technicians. They will help you! :)

  • HPE h9-1001de: HPE h9-1001de - broken graphics card can I use the integrated graphics card Intel?

I bought this PC four years ago (just the version, not CS as in the link):

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=c03106002

The integrated graphics went broken today. Research on the spec Web site I noticed that the Intel's integrated graphics. I won't buy another video card, if there is a graphics processor integrated into the processor.

Indeed, there are two additional DVI ports; However, they are sealed with a sign "DO NOT REMOVE", and each port is sealed with two screws with a strange format (star with six faces?).

Why these DVI ports are sealed? Why with this format live strange? I hope that's not for licensing reasons, and that I'm still able to use them as DVI ports...

    Thank you.

    Hello:

I don't think it is sealed for any other reason than from your PC with a video of the add-on card, they would not people plugging in these ports DVI cables and by calling HP support complaining that the video does not work (because an add on card disables the integrated graphics card).

Remove your discrete PCIe x 16 graphics card, so the built-in graphics card is enabled, put your hand on the good size torx screwdriver and remove the cover, so you can use the integrated graphics card adapter.

  • Can I use an iMac 27 "mid-2011 in target Display Mode broken graphics card?

I inherited the iMac, and rather than buying a new graphics card, want to use it as a second monitor on my MacBook Pro, with thunderbolt. I tried to connect the iMac and MBP with a thunderbolt cable, but F2 command is not turn on/off the iMac in display mode. I'm doing something wrong?

I think that you need the graphics card to be able to use the TDM. You must also use a good video cable Thunderbolt such as those used with your other view.

  • BLAC kscreen after windows - broken graphics card logo?

    Model: HP Notebook PC G62-b41EO
    Product: XX509EA

Windows 7 Ultimate (initially Windows 7 Home Premium)

When you edit a video for YouTube, I got a blue screen and my laptop closed. When I restarted everything was normal, until Windows has loaded, and after that everything went black.

I'm almost certain that it is a problem of graphics card:

    * When I turn off the graphics driver in Windows Device Manager I can start the computer normally.
    * In Device Manager, I get an error message on the GPU, saying he could not start because it is not working properly.

The graphics card is an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 (switchable)

I've tried several things, nothing worked:

    * Graphics driver update
    * Did a restore of the system, the operating system reinstalled
    * A system check in boot options
    * Did a hard reset
    * Connected to an external monitor, this caused another blue screen.

My guess is that the graphics card has just had enough and died. My 1 year warranty is over. What can I do?

The only solution is a new motherboard or motherboard to repair.

This ebay seller is an example of services that are out there. You can save a little if you can remove the motherboard from the chassis:

    1. my fans are loud and sometimes they overheat, whats worse I can't clean my computer laptop but because fans note my fans were quite
