  Please bear with me here that I try to explain all the questions I have with my computer right now. I'll try to explain everything that self-organization as possible, but if you need more information or file papers to provide a solution more precise, do it me know.

  To start, I use a HP Pavilion dv6000 series (dv6748us to be exact) with Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) installed. (Service pack 2). About 6 months ago I got this laptop from what I believe was the conflicker virus (kept forwarding pages, arrested updates and antivirus programs, etc.) and I managed to get Windows Update works again. My help and Support did not work well, it only worked in Mode without failure, so I did some research and tried a bunch of suggested corrections (update the registry, etc.) and got it work yet once again. I don't know if one of the tools that I used all by setting the Help & Support could have caused problems that I now (as I literally tried everything under the Sun until I got to work), but my Windows Update does not work properly again.

  A few weeks ago, I installed some updates and restarted the computer, but updates did not finish install on reboot. Whenever I try to run it, it says that the service is not running. When I try to set the agenda by running Microsoft Fix it, an error occurs. It says "Troubleshooting cannot continue because an error has occurred" and when I try to repair Microsoft Fix it with "DIAG_MATS_NETWORK_global", it does not detect any problems. The first time I met the problem was when I tried to play Minecraft; It wouldn't connect and when I tried to relog I get a "SocketException: unrecognized Windows Socket Error: 86 create." Microsoft Security Essentials has update problems as well and my Hamachi can not connect. Skype and all my other programs and video games, such as League of Legends and Maplestory all will work perfectly well. I've looked everywhere in the Microsoft Web site and cannot find a solution. Please help me solve this problem!

• Problem with windows updates

  Hi, I have a problem downloading and installing windows updates. Said Windows Update downloads updates but percentage complete rest to zero and continues from the market. Is not not able to download and install the updates stop me download windows 8.1 store. The resolution of issues of update said it fixed the problem whenever I run it, but the problem is not fixed.   Thanks for posting your concern on the forum.

  According to the description of the problem, you cannot download and install Windows updates and this issue may occur if one or more of the following conditions are met: 

  1. The Windows Update database is damaged.
  2. Antivirus software is configured to scan the folder % Windir%\SoftwareDistribution.
  3. Service (BITS) Background Intelligent Transfer Service does not receive a content link header.
  4. A required system file is incorrectly registered.

  Try it out below mentioned methods and see if it works for you.

  Method 1

  I suggest you to check if you are able to access Windows Update services and also make sure that the following services are started. If it is not started, follow the listed below as follows:

  a. press the Windows key + R, type "services.msc" (without the quotes) in the Run dialog box to start, and press enter.

  b. Locate the Windows Update service.

  c. right-click on the Windows Update service and select Properties.

  d. in Startup type, select enable.

  e. click Start under Service status.

  f. click OK.

  g. Repeat steps c to f for the following services :

  CSP & Background Intelligent Transfer Service.

  Method 2

  If the problem persists, try to follow the steps mentioned in the article mentioned below, that you have already run the troubleshooting of update.
