Problems downgrading to XP, Vista

I have a brand new HP Pavilion dv7 1245DX with Windows Vista 64-bit installed on it.  I hate Vista, the worst OS ever.

I tried the wake method using nLite to combine the Intel Matrix Storage Manager drivers with XP SP2 startup disk.

After the start of the disc, it recognizes all my material, but when Windows tries to start, it gives me the blue screen of death, "Windows has detected an error...". "blah blah blah.

Maybe I need to get drivers for my particular hard drive? (Fujitsu MHZ2320BH G2 ATA)

I can't find the manufacturer's Web site.

PLEASE, I BEG YOU!  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I'm pulling my hair out at this stage.

What version of XP are you using?

Use a driver to insert several driver option in Nlite. It automatically finds the necessary drivers.

The current errors, associated with somethings elsewhere, e.i saw copy of setup of XP because of the dirty XP installation CD, clean it and start over or find another XP CD to install.

Some suggestions to avoid problems when installing XP:

1. use XP - SP2, much easier to use since many XP drivers were built based on XP - SP2.

2 burn the installer of XP slowly and do not use is not the maximum speed, sometimes it create errors

3. choose a CD media reputation, not the one at little cost.

  • with all the problems w/mp11 on vista why dony 1 of you geniuses at microsoft working on allowing a mp12 for vista download

Why cany you geniuses at microsoft, solve problems with mp11 on vista or allow to download mp12 on vista many of your loyal customers are completely frustrated by this situation and deserve a break after all without your customers that you would be out of business

You realize that the people here are all volunteers and have little or no affiliation with Ms.

Couple that with the fact that MS has retired from pillar supported vista casts doubt on any effort to correct or update.  Time to upgrade

    Hello

You can try to do a system restore before this date

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

If necessary do in safe mode

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

    and malware scan

Download update and scan with the free version of malwarebytes anti-malware

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/MBAM.php

You can also download and run rkill to stop the process of problem before you download and scan with malwarebytes

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill

If it does not remove the problem and or work correctly in normal mode do work above in safe mode with networking

    Windows Vista

  • I have a problem with a Gamehouse game. Talked to them and they say that it is a problem of compatiablity with Vista.

I have a problem with a Gamehouse game

Talked to them and they say that it is a problem of compatiablity with Vista. It's Super Jigsaw Puzzle and I the hours worked in several puzzles and now when I try to go inside he closes Super Puzzle. This is frustinating because I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program 3 times, it does not help. Is that what I can do to fix this problem in Vista? I have all the updates except IE 8.  We like IE7, but all the other updates sent we have.

If it is a program downloaded and installed, read this:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-Vista/default.aspx

    Windows Vista Compatibility Center

First thing to do is to check its Vista compatibility at the link above, and if not to see what patches/solutions are available from its manufacturer...

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-compatibility-mode/

If this is not Vista compatible, read the info on the link above.
It works for some programs, but not all.

This applies to software programs, NOT hardware drivers.

If it's Vista compatible > uninstall it > Re-download/save to your desktop > right click on setup.exe O run as admin.

  • Problems downgrading from Vista to Xp - Sound Blaster Audigy Advanced MB not recognized

    Hello

I have an Inspiron 1520 provided with Windows Vista Premium.

Anyone know where I can download the driver for my sound card?

    Any suggestion on this subject?

I tried to reset the Bios and installing the driver Audigy 1, 2. Nothing has worked so far.

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Dv4-1413tx - no sound after downgrade to xp vista frm

    Hello...

I recently bought a HP dv4-1413tx with vista home premium pre-installed on it. I tried it downgrade to Windows XP SP2. Managed to install XP on it but feels a hell of a time with drivers... Especially the audio. There is absolutely no sound. Not even the beeps.

I tried to install UAA audio bus driver first and then the driver of HDTV LSI etc. but still no sound. I spent several hours on this subject...

Peut - some kind soul please direct me on how to go about this case?

I remember that I was in a similar situation some two years back in an attempt to re - install Windows XP on another laptop from my friend. We install everything except the audio. Finally, the technician at the shop could install for us. Now I'm away from the place... So can not go and find out that the man how it install it. It was also a HP laptop only...

I would like to add that the mute button stays red and does not respond when you press.

There is nothing about Audio in Device Manager... Maybe that's the problem.

  • Downgrade to XP Vista

I have a computer that my boss bought outside one of his business colleagues.  It allows to run on Vista and has been downgraded to XP.  He has problems.  I want to reinstall Vista but it doesn't have the CD.  What should I do?

Vista Media recovery obtaining and/or using the Vista recovery on your computer Partition to factory settings .

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

After installation > go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/notebook > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > get latest Vista drivers for it > download/install them.

Save all data, because it will be lost during a clean installation.

  • Qosmio G30-194 - problems with sound in Vista

I have trouble with the sound after instalation of Vista. Can someone help me?

.and what sound disorder do you have?

I m not surprised of your message. Vista needs specific drivers, and possibly the new driver audio update could solve some problems.
Right now I have not found all the Vista drivers for this unit on the Toshiba Europe site
It seems that we have to wait a bit for the release of the pilot, but we will have it I'm sure ;)

You can try another model XP drivers. Maybe the P200 for example?

What you want is the SATA F6 driver driver Intel Matrix Storage.

Search the forum for "SATA Driver" for xp install instructions

  • Satellite M100-126, Wifi problem with Blutooth on Vista activation

    Hello

Installation of Vista Pro on my M100, I've got blue screen e if active when blutooth Wifi operational.
No Blutooth problem if you use the Lan and Wifi card down.
All the drivers have been downloaded from the website of Toshiba (Blutooth drv: 5.10.06 for Vista 32 bit).
For now, using Wi-Fi with disabled Blutooth.
Thank you very much for all your comments... :-)

What is the message of the blue screen (it mentions any driver name or device)?

  • Downgrade from Windows Vista to XP on Satellite A200-22I

    Hello

Maybe this topic has arised more than once, but someone can help me?
I just bought a Toshiba Satellite A200 [22I with windows Vista, but I want to downgrade to XP.]

    How can I do?

    Thank you very much

    It's easy,

You'll need a genuine Windows XP CD, drivers and little time.

Next, you need to 'wake' drivers Windows XP AHCI the CD because otherwise the HARD drive would not be recognized during the installation of windows XP. Here´s a link to a very good education how to integrate these specific drivers for a Windows XP CD: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB85017Z0000R01.htm

I know it sounds complicated, but trust me, you´re doing so once and you know after all. ;)

I would also like to download the XP drivers for your machine at the following site: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU

Your model is a PSAE6E which means you need to find the drivers for a Satellite A200 (PSAE6) and download. Burn it to a CD to have available every time when you need it...

When you install the drivers please take care of the installation order how do I install the drivers; I can't tell you the entire order, but the most important drivers must be installed in the following order:

    -BIOS for XP (V5.60)<- i="" would="" do="" this="" before="" installing="">

Then after the installation of Windows XP:
    -chipset
    -Storage Manager
    -display driver
    -sound
    -lan driver
    -wlan driver

and then the other stuff that is for this model

That's all, if you have questions, just ask.

    Welcome them
