Problems importing photos

The photos I have import in first appear normal when I view in the media browser.  However, when I send pictures to the chronology of the workspace, they considerably crop the image.  Anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you

Click on the still in the timeline panel, right click and press SET to framework mery. This will scale it down rather then the setting to 100% as would scale to the size of the image.

  • Problem importing photos from camera to Lightroom

I have creative cloud for photographers, it s installed on my iMac and my MacBook Air. I use Lightroom to import photos from the camera. A few days ago I wanted to import photos on the MacBook, but after a while everything stopped, no photos have been imported, and after waiting a while, I gave up. Tried again after a while but then received the message that read files couldn t. It worried me a lot because I was afraid the memory card may have been damaged, but I tried to import photos to the iMac instead, and it was no problem. After that I tried to import more photos from different cameras for the MacBook, but nothing works. The iMac - no problem. I tried to uninstall Lightroom, but it has not been possible. In the creative app cloud, it is possible to uninstall Photoshop, no problem, but with Lightroom, it says "cannot be uninstalled" - on the iMac and MacBook.

Since I travel a lot in a few days, it s essential to own a Lightroom running on my MacBook. I usually import photos from the device several times a day, so without a LR that works, it will be much more difficult...

Any help will be very appreciated!

Now, I need to check the destination folder...

You need to determine the destination folder that is defined in the Lightroom Import dialog box (which can be only the folder that it is), then check the permissions on this folder.

  • Problem importing Photos from iPhone

When I download feature import photos from my iPhone to my laptop using the standard Windows, it creates folders separated for all my photos based on the date that they were taken - so I find myself with hundreds of files, some of them containing only a single photo. How can I change the settings so that when I transfer my photos they import it all into one folder?

In the window import pictures and videos, click the device that you want to import pictures and videos to and then click Import.

Then, in option: click more optionsand make the changes you want, and then click OK. Options can include where to save the files and what format to use for the names of folders and files.

If your camera can detect whether you take pictures vertically or horizontally, your PC can automatically rotate JPEG photos to a correct orientation when they are imported. To turn off automatic rotation, clear the photos turn to import over the box.

  • problem importing photos to Lightroom CC

I managed to import about 75% of my camera card and then LR ceased to import (I waited several hours it ends). I canceled the import and received a message 'no photos found.' I tried to import several times more, then I closed LR and restarted my computer and tried again.

When I buy LR to import photos, I opened my camera card and the remaining photos appear as blank thumbnails in case of grid, but when I click on the photos I can scroll and view the content of each. I tried several times to import these photos and import of LR seems to freeze everything and no pictures imported.

I tried to import directly on the camera drive and a folder on my desktop, I created. Both with the same result.

    Can you please help?

You probably need to update your Lightroom version CC 2015.6.1

  • Problem importing photos in SONY's alpha 7R LR5

After you import photos .arw in LR5, I notice color bars in most of the photos.  After the removal of the photo, the bars are displayed in the following picture.  I looked at the pictures in my camera and without these bars were present.  I tried to use 8.3 DNG Converter and that no longer works.

Copies on your disk at this time that Lightroom accesses are corrupt and are essentially useless. No way corrupt.

If the images are not corrupted on the card in the camera, you can try to transfer them to the computer by using a different material (for example, if you used a card reader, do not use this card reader)

If the pictures that are on your camera card are corrupted, then you are basically out of luck.

Elements 8 is rejection of jpeg photos, I am trying to import the card SD or DVD. The photos were taken with different cameras and ones I imported successfully to front. It marks files as "corrupt", or "Organizer does not recognize this file format" or other strange messages. I imported these files successfully in Picassa and Windows explore - they are smooth jpegs.

  • I have problems to import photos from the Canon EOS 70 d in Lightroom on a macbook pro

When I try to import photos from my Canon EOS70D in Lightroom, first I get "Preview not available for this file" for all files on the camera. If I check a few photos to import Lightroom said then that's important but the pictures never import and eventually I have to cancel the import. I tried to import a picture and this same thing is happening.

I don't think that is the cable or the camera that I can import into iPhoto from the camera using the same cable.

    All advice appreciated.

It's ok thank you, I found the problem. I have to let the camera connected to the laptop for a while. Finally, all files have thumbnails, and then I can import them. I tried before import them too quickly.

  • Imported photos display is no longer in 'Photo', is this a library problem?

My imported photos and videos are in the library, but not visible in Photo mode, from a few months ago.  They are all visible in the "all photos" album, however.  How can I fix it?

The most common cause is bad dates on photos so you seek all simply in the right place - right click in all the Photos (which are sorted by date added) and select slide show in the command of moments - should open the window of moments with your displayed photos and then you will see the date of issue

Moments if not open with your photo showing then you have a corrupted - library save your photo library and press the command and option keys while launching Photos and repair yoru database - Note This will trigger a new total to iCloud library download if you use

  • Problem with importing photos to Lightroom CC

    Hello

When I try to import photos from my hard drive to Lightroom CC, it just hangs. I kill the importation and he said: no photos or something like, but then LR does not start again until what I restart the PC. I tried this several times with the same result

I think that the catalog can be altered, although not say so LR. I don't know how to restore the catalog even though I have backups. I tried to open one of the backups directly by navigating, unzip the file, but got a similar result.

A few questions come to mind:

    How to restore the catalog

the catalogue is very large - it's time to archive some of the old photos - the best way to do it?

Try to remove the videos from the camera card or a record of entry and import again.

You didn't answer my question about thumbnails appear in the Lightroom Import dialog box

Photos and some videos open OK in Windows Explorer.

This means that the other videos do not open OK in Windows Explorer?

  • import photos

    Hey,.

I don't know why I feel always stupid when you work with Mac, it is supposed to be so simple! So I tried to import my photos from my iphone to my macbook. AirDrop does not work, I tried everything and apparently this is a problem common on macbooks. So I tried with icloud that does not work either. I imported the photos to icloud, but on my mac I don't have access to them. then I tried to connect two Bluetooth devices, but they do not match. What else I can try or I'm really too stupid to understand these programs?

    Thank you!

    What model of MacBook Pro?

Which version of OSX on a MacBook Pro?

How is - what import you photos in iCloud?

  • import photos from the phone without Photos

Is it possible to import photos from an iPhone without "PHOTOS" / iphoto? ". I had an iPhoto library really big on the external drive that now will not migrate because I need to 72 GB extra space - which is kind of off me to iPhoto - if I had known it was going to be a problem I would have split my library before updating.

You can use the picture Capture application to import photos from your iPhone to a folder on your Mac.
