  • HPC8180 printer connects to the wireless network, after upgrade firmware to the router wireless

    My HPC8180 has been wireless since I bought it some time ago.  I recently had to upgrade the firmware on my router wireless of Netcom NB9W and since then my HP will not solve for the wireless network.

    I run the wizzard of wireless network on the printer, select the correct SSID and enter the WEP key according to the instructions.

    It will then not connect.

    Print the summary I have says that it passes all except:

    No filtering = Fail

    Connected = do not run

    Signal strength = very weak (which is strange because it is about 10 feet away from wireless router).

    Other networks detected matching your network name (SSID) = No.

    Summary says:

    Network Name (SSID) altnet (correct)

    Address IP = not applicable

    Configuration source = not applicable

    Communication mode = Infrastructure

    Authentication type = open system

    = 64-bit WEP encryption

    I have NOT activated the mac address filtering

    Any ideas?

    Your router appears to be a DSL modem-router.  Those who can be difficult to connect to.  In addition, WEP can be problematic and is no longer a measure of security.  WEP can be broken in 10 minutes approximately with the freeware on the internet.

    We will do three things:

    1. replace the WPA or WPA2 encryption.  You can make your own password.  Do 13 or more characters, numbers and uppercase and lowercase letters.

    2 reset the default settings on your printer network (configuration > network area).

    3. attach to the router in this way:

    Sometimes the DSL providers have more control over the router like the printer.

    -Unplug the phone line from the router
    -Cut the power to the router, wait 30 seconds, then turn on the power.
    -Go through the normal process of the printer connected to the device (wireless configuration wizard)
    -Now to find the IP address of the printer (it should be on the self-test printout), type it in a browser.
    -On this screen, you will find a tab management network, then on the left wireless, then the IPv4 tab.
    -On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you know what it is, set an IP address outside this range but not exceeding 254 (the last number of the address).
    -Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
    -Let the white gateway and DNS
    -Finally, connect the telephone line, restart the router and the test.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not connect to the Mobile network

    Hi there, I really hope that someone can help me with this frustrating problem. I have a Verizon Blackberry Curve 8530 I bought on eBay. I have not had any problems to get the phone activated and it worked like a champ. A few days earlier, the battery got very low and my connections disabled. I charged the phone and now it won't let me connect to the mobile network! When I select the option it tries to connect and a red 'X' appears and it does not connect. However, it WILL connect to WiFi. WTF.

    Hello!

    I suggest the following:

    (1) dial * 228 and select Option 1. To make again, and select Option 2.

    (2) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (3) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (4) batt Pull Reboot

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you must contact VZW for assistance.

  • BlackBerry Z10 a Z10 works fine, the other one has trouble connecting to the mobile network

    Hi, my wife and I have the Z10, and we're both on the same mobile network (Wind Mobile to the Canada). Z10 wife seems to have no problem connecting or staying connected to Wind Mobile. Mine on the other hand seems to randomly drop the connection, or struggled to get connection and sometimes ends homelessness.

    The only difference between the two of the Z10 is its is purchased through Wind Mobile itself, it is locked to their network at the moment. I bought mine a little later and I bought mine directly via the webshop of Blackberry, and it's why, mine is unlocked. What I have to do sometimes is to disable the mobile connection and turn it back on and it works after I do this. However, it is annoying, as I would rather automatically retry the network connection so that it is not go roaming in my own city.

    It is possible that a new sim card can help. Worth a try. I'm guessing, however, that, since one is that she has the ability to see other networks when the locked is not unlocked.

    That said, I use a unlocked Z30 and don't have these problems. Try a new sim card and see what happens.

  • Z10 Z10 blackBerry does not connect to the mobile network

    I live in an apartment and sometimes when I get a no signal (like the elevator or the basement) location in a place where there should be a signal strong, the Z10 I have isn't always connect to it. Instead, I see that the network is listed as "SOS" or "302-500".

    My ISP is Wind Mobile to the Canada. The Z10 is a factory-unlocked directly from Blackberry. I already changed the SIM card once, but it didn't seem to help.

    Try this: settings, network and connections, Mobile network, manual network selection Mode change.

    It should automatically scan, can take a few minutes, when the Scan stops choose wind, do not choose any others listed will not work.

  • BlackBerry cannot accept the connection via the Mobile network?

    Hi all, on Blackberry, I want to open a server socket to listen to a connection come from other devices.

    Here is my code:

    String url = "socket://:12345;deviceside=true";
    ServerSocketConnection scn = (ServerSocketConnection) Connector.open(url);
    SocketConnection sc = (SocketConnection) scn.acceptAndOpen();

    Mobile network on that BB is ok, but it cannot accept any connection.

    I also use its mobile phone network to connect to other servers, it works fine when it's the client socket.

    I tried with the Wifi network, and it works very well.

    String url = "socket://:12345;interface=wifi";
    ServerSocketConnection scn = (ServerSocketConnection) Connector.open(url);
    SocketConnection sc = (SocketConnection) scn.acceptAndOpen();

    In my view, Network Service Mobile prevented so that other devices connect to it, is it true?

    Please explain it to me, thank you very much!

    This approach only works for mobile connections, when the data are pushed to the device.  You cannot use it to connect to other phones directly.  Sorry

  • Satellite Pro M70: No connection to the local network after removing the cable

    I have some problems of Mayor. The first time that I go on the internet - no problem. But if I get out my internet cable and plug it again it dosen't work! ??? I get the same IP, subnet and gateway. Everything seems fine. But the connection does not work until I restart the computer.

    Hello

    What do you mean with no link? If you have the same IP, subnet and gateway then the connection should be available.
    Perhaps mean you that IE cannot open Web sites.
    Anyway, if I have problems with my LAN connection I right click on the LAN icon in the taskbar and then I chose the option repair.
    The IP, the subnet and the gateway will be updated and the connection works again.
