Problems in USB drive mode
I used my pre as a USB drive, a number of times up to this point and have never had a problem until now. I've recently updated the 1.1.0 version of WebOS.
I have attached my pre to a computer at work recently and put the Pre in USB drive mode. My computer came up with a new feature called "novacom linux" and can't find the right drivers for the mass storage device installation. Thinking that this might be a problem with this computer, I took the meadow on the other two computers. One of them, I got the same error. Another stated that there was a malfunction with the device connected to the USB port and Windows does not recognize it. I turned off the Pre and started it again, to see if maybe a reset would help. No change in the situation. I tried the option "restart" under device information, but that does not solve the problem either. I'm hesitant to try any kind of clear, because I doubt that this will change the situation either (my data should have no effect on the USB sync).
Please note that I have not installed a driver on computers to access the pre... I've never had any before today. It has always acted as a USB key. I was wondering if anyone else was having this kind of problem? I really had problems with my pre so far. He was the rock solid reliable. Thank you for your attention.
Ah... false alarm. The Linux of Novacom driver is because my camera is in developer mode, and it is the first time that I have the seal to a computer that does not have the Palm Mojo SDK installed, which has the Novacom driver I guess.

Resolve a problem with a USB driver
You have received this message because your universal serial (USB) bus driver caused a stop error, also known as a blue screen error. This error means that the computer has stopped abruptly to protect against potential corruption of data or loss.
What is a driver?
A driver is software that allows your computer to communicate with hardware or devices. Without drivers, the hardware you connect to your computer (for example, a video card or a webcam) may not work properly.
The recommended steps that follows can help to eliminate this problem, or at least reduce its frequency. Try them in the order listed. If a step cannot solve or reduce the problem, then move on to the next.
Steps to fix this problem
Adjust your computer's power settings
The following power settings may help reduce the frequency of this problem.
Turn off the USB selective suspend setting:
Click on the Start button .
In the search box, type power options, and then press ENTER.
Find the plan selected, and then click change plan settings.
Click change advanced power settings.
Double-click the USB settings , and then double-click on USB selective suspend setting.
Make sure that the USB selective suspend setting is disabled. If it is enabled, click it and select disabledand then click OK.
Disable power saving mode (computer portable computers only):
Click on the Start button .
In the search field, type power options, and then press ENTER.
Under Preferred Plans, ensure that High Performance is selected, and then close the window.
Look for an update of the BIOS for your computer system
Several computer manufacturers whose computers have this problem published BIOS updates to fix this known issue. Contact your computer manufacturer to see if a BIOS update is available for your computer model.
What is the BIOS?
The basic input/output system (BIOS) is software built into a computer that runs when the computer is turned on. Among other things, this software starts the operating system, and supports the transfer of information between hardware devices (such as the keyboard and the monitor).
How can I find the manufacturer of my computer?
Click on the Start button , type msinfo32 in the start search box and press ENTER. The manufacturer of your computer is listed as the manufacturer of the system in the right pane of the system information window.
Click here to go online to see the contact information for most of the computer manufacturers
Download and install the latest updates and drivers for your computer
It's a good idea to periodically check the updates of driver for your computer, especially if you added new hardware recently, such as a USB hub or other USB device.
What is a USB hub?
A USB hub is a device with multiple (USB) universal serial bus ports. USB ports are narrow and rectangular connection points to connect USB devices to your computer. A USB hub is used an Extender of port or port replicator, providing more USB ports to run from a USB connection on your computer. USB hubs can be external devices that connect to a USB port, or they can be internal devices built into your computer.
To check for driver updates:
- Use Windows Update to find and install updates:
Click the check for updates in the left pane, and then click view available updates.
What happens if I see any updates available?
If you see you receive updates: managed by your system administrator, you can try clicking on the link to check online for updates from Microsoft Update or Search online for updates from Windows Update, but you should maybe contact your system administrator to get the desired updates.
If you do not see the message above and no update is available in Windows Update after clicking on the link check the updates in the left pane, then the available updates have already been installed.
Select the driver for your device updates and more updates to install.
Note
We recommend that you install all Important updates and recommended. These updates improve the security and stability of your computer.Click on install. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
If you recently added a new hardware device on your computer, go online to the manufacturer's Web site to see if there is an update to the driver.
If you recently added a new program on your computer, go online to the manufacturer's Web site to see if an update is available.
Steps to work around this problem
Warning
These measures are intended to solve a specific problem, but could do so by temporarily disabling or removing some features on your computer.Try to remove newly added USB devices
If this issue occurs after adding a USB hub or other USB device, consider removing to see if the problem goes away. If this resolves the problem, contact the manufacturer of the device for the updates or other recommendations.
Do not disconnect USB devices while the computer is to stop or go to sleep
This problem is known to occur when USB devices are disconnected when the computer is trying to stop or switch mode to 'sleep'. This is common with cell phones, especially those with a docking station, as docking station can act as a USB hub. The frequency of this problem could be reduced by allowing your computer to completely close or completely in sleep mode before detached from its docking station or unplug it or the docking station USB devices.
If you know which USB device is causing the problem
It may be possible to prevent the Blue error screen by choosing the option remove the device safely in the Notification area, before putting your computer into sleep or Hibernate mode.
In the system tray, click the icon to remove the device , select the USB device that you think that the origin of the problem and then click OK.
Do not physically remove the USB device.
Perform the action which resulted in the Blue error screen, so that was taken the functioning of your computer after the mode standby, hibernation, or, in the case of laptops, close the laptop computer or place it in a docking station.
If the Blue error screen persists, it is likely that the problem is with another USB device. Try this procedure using other USB devices until you find that at the origin of the problem.
If the Blue error screen disappeared, you have probably identified the device causing the problem. Contact the manufacturer of the device for more information on how to solve this problem, or use the option to remove the device safely to work around him.

USB drive unplugged when wake up mode 'sleep'
I use windows vista business version for my 6400 Dell insporon laptop.
When my laptop wakes mode ensures, in the wondows login procedure, it seems he disconnected from usb drives to not communicate with windows at this time. One of the USB (simpletech 2 TB) was not connected (it loses the drive letter in windows Explorer). Two other brand always connected.
If I recycle the power of this USB, it connects back.
Simple question: where can I change once and for all so that I don't have to recycle that drive usb every time when you wake up mode 'sleep' (she becomes very annoying since this USB does not start button / stop)? Personally, I think it's microsft windows 'default login procedure question' no usb drive manufacturer bug (contact usb drive tech support).

Hello
The problem is perhaps due to several parameters being off, and you can actually have
go through the list again. It could be you have a hardware problem with
the USB port or might have to reinstall Windows. Even if it is complex you need to use this

The conclusion for M - Audio MobilePre USB driver problem

__Vista and external hard USB drive problems. __
I have an old USB Maxtor attached an external hard drive with vista home premium. It was working fine until I left for two weeks. Now, vista starts up with this drive connected. When I unplug the USB connection, it starts OK. Second, but related. I use this drive to Flash the pictures on the box of the gadget. Works OK for a bit, then the photos appear more. I redefine the source folder to make it work again. The two problems are related to the external hard drive. Is it vista, usb or drive?
Any help would be appreciated.
Vinnie
Hi Vinnie,
I suggest you try the following steps to refine the question:
Step 1: connect the USB device to a different USB port and test it.
When a device is not functioning, Device Manager also typically displays an error message with an error code that comes with it. First, search for errors in the Manager of devices to do this, follow the steps below:
Step 2: Disconnect the USB device, then on startup, check for the error code in Device Manager
1. open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
2. in Device Manager, look for the USB device, and then double-click the device name.
3. under the gaze of general tab for the status of the device for any error code indicated.Get-help-with-Device-Manager-errors
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/get-help-with-Device-Manager-errorsStep 3: Disconnect the USB device and start, run the fixit provided in the link below at the office level.

Problems pictures copies of Flash memory card and USB drive under Vista 64 files
Hi, when I insert a flash memory card (SanDisk 8 GB SDHC or SanDisk 2 GB Compact Flash) either by inserting the card into a card reader, AutoPlay comes on but the image transfer stops after a few images have been copied to any program (Windows, Picasa, etc.). I chose to copy the files. Same experience when I connect the camera with the memory card in the camera using the USB cable to the PC. I tried to re - format camera memory cards, but it has no effect.
Also, I feel the same when I try to copy from a USB flash drive (the drive is basic, not a U3 key).
I have a HP Pavilion m9400t Elite desktop running Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I own this desktop computer for a year and I've always had this problem. I have no problem using these flash memory cards and a USB drive on my old XP PC or an Apple Mac Book. For what I can tell, my Vista desktop is set for automatic windows and updates from HP. Everything about the plan of updating drivers, etc., which would solve this problem would be appreciated.
Thank you
SriniHi Srini,
one) that you get specific error messages when images are arrested to copy?
(b) what is the file format of the pictures\files that are not copied? What images are copied with success?
To narrow the problem, please follow the steps mentioned below:
O copy the pictures manually on the flash memory card Office.
O connect the flash memory card\ camera to the back of the computer (for a different USB (port universal serial bus) and try to copy the pictures\files.)
O check if the photos are in double version:
Windows detects your newest pictures and doesn't matter the duplicate versions of the old photos that you've already copied to your computer

Windows 7 professional XP Mode - does not recognize external USB drives or internal DVD drive
I recently bought a new Toshiba laptop and ordered computer configured with Windows 7 Professional that I can use the XP mode for some older programs. Virtual Mode and XP mode work well, but the computer will not recognize the USB external storage drives or internal DVD player. Problem with USB 2.0 Driver
I'm having a problem with the USB 2.0 driver. Whenever I connect my USB drive, I get a notification of an unknown device and I also used the troubleshooter to solve problems, but he said-
An unexpected error has occurred. The Troubleshooting Wizard can not continue.
Identifier of the package: DeviceCenterDiagnostic
Path: unknown
Error code: 0 x 80070002
Source: engine
User: Chinmaya-PC\Chinmaya
Background: high
Every time that I find this error code while troubleshooting the USB 2.0 driver. I even tried reinstalling the driver, but it's the same thing over and over again. I also tried to install Microsoft Fix it, but it won't install, it says "Microsoft Automated Troubleshooting Services BootStrapp has stopped working". Someone at - it this same error? I can't even connect a USB on my computer because of this error.
If anyone has an answer, I would be very happy to know.
Hello Chinmaya,
Thank you for the update on the issue.
Before any change in the registry, I highly recommend you back up the registry. You can see How to backup and restore the registry in Windows as described in the previous answer.
UpperFilters and the LowerFilters are assigned values in registry keys. Upper filter drivers go between the operating system and the principal driver, and the lower filter drivers between the driver and the hardware.
You can try the suggestion and let us know the result, we will be happy to help you.
Thank you.
Note
Depending on the manufacturer and model, some USB devices will become available automatically when you resume using your computer. Others will require that first disconnect you physically and then plug back in front, they will be recognized by the computer. Check the system tray to see if the USB device that you removed safely become available when you started to use your computer again. If she did not become available automatically, then physically unplug it and then plug it in again.
This is the screen it gives me. Help, please! If problem fixed, will BE AWARDED!
