Hello, I'm having a problem with my printer. I'll install the printer with the driver HP off-site and the printer works for a while, then it must be installed again. I noticed that when this happens, windows supports and installs the driver, after that it asks for installation support, I didn't, because I can't find the disk. I then click on cancel until the window closes and the printer works again, but only for a while, then the driver must be installed again. I also tried to disable the automatic installation of the windows driver and use HP adds the function of device on their setup of drivers, but the device is still not installed. The installer is hanging.  The operating system is Windows Vista Business SP2 and the printer is a HP Officejet 4315 all-in-one. • Problems installing of printer in the Windows XP compatibility box

I am trying to use my printer Canon MX870 Windows XP compatibility mode. In the compatibility window is my computer has no printer, and apparently no USB ports don't either.

When I try to print from a program that is running in compatibility mode, I get an error box that says: no printer driver is installed.

I found an MS article that says I should choose the Windows XP desktop tools > parameters command and check the printer in the menu of the integration features. I tried and found that printer is already checked.

I tried to install a separate printer driver compatibility window and had no luck there either. The "Add a printer" Wizard has informed me that there is no plug-and-play printer connected to the computer. When I tried to install the printer manually, I found that none of my USB ports have been listed as locations.

My computer has eight USB ports, an RS-232 port and a parallel port. The Wizard indicates that it is three parallel ports, 4 serial ports and seven ports 'TS' appointed TS001, TS002, etc., of which the last is "inactive".

I don't know how to make the link between these imaginary ports of Windows XP for real hardware in my computer. (If I did, I would still need to know which one to use. I know, but Windows is supposed to automatically allocate the names of devices on the USB ports that is appropriate, in view of these problems, I am not prepared to assume that it will be).

How can I handle this? All this seems to be a mess.

    Hello

To work around the problem, try the following steps if you have this driver on the XP Mode desktop file.

    a. click Start, click Control Panel , and search for printers , and then double-click Printers.
    b. now, click Add Printer.
    c. Select Add a local printer and click create a new port.
    d. Select Local Port and click Next.
    e. type in "[\\computer name\printer name]"(sans les guillemets) for the Port name and click OK. ""
    f. follow the instructions to complete the installation. During the installation, when you are prompted to choose a good driver; Click the "disk".
    g. navigate to the driver file you have on the desktop XP mode, then click OK. Now, check if the printer is correctly installed.

You can even provide the driver through a disk file if you do not have internet access to download the file via the XP mode.

Alternatively, you can check the link for more information below:

  • Problem installing the printer.

I have a range of printers Laserjet 2055dn on 64-bit Windows 7 and the printer is connected to USB.  Windows will install the device via PnP, however when the printer is installed and try to print something from her nothing happens.  When download us the PCL and Post Script of the HP website driver and install the printer manually, after installs the printer, the printer does not take place in devices and printers even you the HP installer says that the printer has been installed.  When we try to manually install the drivers via material inherited from device manager installation and browse for the drivers, we get an invalid memory address allocation.  I guess the next thing we could try, it is using a different USB cable?

    Thank you

  • problem install shared printer on windows 7 64 bit

    Hey guys

I recently got a thinkpad IBM with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

We have a HP Laserjet 3015 which is shared on the windows xp professional computer.  I can't install on my computer. If I connect the printer to my computer via the USB port, windows find the drivers and it works.

The problem is when I try and insatll it on the network it doesn't. I can search and find a computer to which it is attached, and see it in the list of shared printers, but when I ever I try to connect it says connection > > search on windows update > > can't find drivers. It gives me the opportunity to find the drivers to install. I downloaded the drivers on the HP site, but they do not help. whenever I select them in the manual it comes with an error indicating that the driver is not found then give u the option to install it yourself. When you select the driver it says windows cannot find an appropriate driver.

How can I get around this?

Try the following: on the Windows 7 computer go to file devices and printers, add a local printer, printer, create a new port, port Local, next, \\xpcomputername\lj3015 (where you put in the real share of the computer name and printer), OK, Windows Update (and wait for the list to repopulate), HP Laserjet 3015 PCL5, then, then.

  • Several BSOD follows close to install Brother printer drivers.

Since the installation of the brother drivers for my new printer on August 22, I got randomly two BAD_POOL_HEADER errors and just got a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. A bit of research showed me that these sorts of BSOD are often related to conflicting drivers.

    Here are the minidump files.

I already have a test of memory and had no error.

I also uninstalled a few redists that accompanies the pilots (who were older versions of already installed redists) that I knew were clashing with their newer counterparts.

    Thank you.

Here are the different problem (I suspect Symantec is the underlying cause) one of the DMP files is due to the networx.sys SDK TDI Driver NetFilterSDK.com (WPP) Hook NetFilter.  I have that update by installing the latest driver available and I would like to run the Driver Verifier to find the underlying issue

These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

Please run these tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

If you're overclocking (pushing components beyond their design) return you to default at least until the crash is resolved. If you don't know what it is that you're probably not overclocking.

Since then, it is more likely to be a pilot run everything first.
1-Driver Verifier (for full instructions, see our wiki here)

If the auditor does not have the issue we move to it.

2-Memtest. (You can learn more about running memtest here)

If you cannot start after you have enabled the auditor reboot in safe mode

  • Problems installing of printer 1022n w / Windows 7 Enterprise

My workplace has climbed to Windows 7 Enterprise (64-bit), and I'm currently not able to use my HP 1022n printer.

I found the site to download the driver 1022n, but to halfway through the installation process I get an error message that the driver is not connected to a USB port on my computer. But it IS connected, and I tried all ports. (I also tried unplug, disconnect, turn off and then reconnect, reconnect and switch on everything.)

The printer worked fine with my old computer, a 32-bit machine running XP and it is supposed to work correctly with Windows 7 64 - bit, too, but I'm stuck at this point.

FYI, I use the HP1022n as a stand-alone printer, not through a network.

I have run the HP tool and simply get the diagnosis that the printer is not installed.  I checked the printer spooler, too, which is started and set to automatic.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

  • Problem installing Windows 7: drivers needed

I try to perform a clean installation of Windows 7 on a 250 GB hard drive which is perfectly clean. Windows asks a driver for my ASUS DRW-2014L1T optical drive before it can proceed with the installation. The ASUS site offers only a few firmware for this model, and none of them are same for Windows 7 (vista is the more recent they are). In addition, the firmware are in .exe format which makes me think they are intended to be installed on a machine with Windows already installed. So, do you know of any ways to get around this problem? Is there generic drivers that I could install?

    Thanks for any help,

    Nate

    Hey Nate,

    ·         How many drivers DVD the computer have?

    ·         Is ASUS DRW-2014L1T internal or external drive?

If the computer has an another DVD player, I suggest to use the DVD player and try to install Windows 7.

  • How to install 7210 print drivers only on the system that has no attached printer

    Hello

I need to install the driver "HP Officejet 7200 series" on a computer that doesn't have any HP 7210 printer attached.

The machine will be accessible through a session terminal server on a Juniper Networks secure virtual private network. This allows a printer on a computer to be consulted and printed on remote computer - but the remote computer must have installed the drivers.

So my question is how can I just get and install the driver named "HP Officejet 7200 series?

I tried the HP driver downloads over my original driver CD, but none of them seem no driver to install because I have not the printer is connected to the machine. All I want is to end up with the appropriate driver "HP OfficeJet 7200 series" available in the "Add a printer" dialog box Windows XP.

Before anyone suggests it, I can not temporarily attach the printer to the remote computer because they are 50 miles away

    Thank you very much.

Overwhelmed by the response here, I managed to find a solution to this and I post here in case others find it useful.

The trick is to realize you need a local driver and a driver from a distance that are the same. But there is no need for the 7210 driver.

I found that the driver DeskJet990C Windows by default "Add a printer" dialog has worked well.

With the help of first installation on the local machine, using the same port that the 7210 already installed. Set up and print a test page to make sure it works.

Then, install the same driver on the remote computer. Simply choose any local port.

Then start a new remote session and the printer should appear as a deskjet 990c and impression of the remote computer should work.
