Problems of Windows 8.1 on my wife envy m6-k025dx

Everything was fine until yesterday, when a video driver updated to intel is appeared in windows update. Machine worked fine on windows 8.1. Installed driver and restart went to a black screen. Could force a boot in the repair and update the laptop. He wiped my applications and hit me back to windows 8. When I update to 8.1 via the shop windows, the installation works until after the devices are detected and then the screen goes black. I've tried about 8 installs under the following attempts to changing conditions:

  • Remove all display drivers intel
  • install the latest version of the windows driver 8 on the site of hp support (computer said in prepared a solution of graphics intell 4400)
  • install the latest version of the windows driver 8.1 on the hp support site, will not install on windows 8
  • Install the latest driver of intel, does not work, says use the manufacturer supplied drivers
  • I ran all the updates on the other drivers on the hp support site
  • I tried the master boot record repair recommended by microsoft, the repair was properly executed, but the upgrade still eventually cancelled

I really want the laptop on 8.1. How to properly uninstall the windows driver update for the graphics card intel and return to a State where I can go to windows 8.1

What has worked for me on my m6-k025dx, which is only network via Wifi, was to:
-Start the 8.1 update in the Windows store.
-As soon as the status message installation in the Windows store changed between "Download" and "Installation", put the phone in Airplane Mode (which disables Wifi) by pressing the F12 key.
-In the initial installation of 8.1, disable Windows Update so that the update 8.1 (apparently) problematic did not settle.
-Once 8.1 starts, enable Windows Update, but select the option download updates to day, but do not install automatically
-Check the updates of Windows and install everything EXCEPT KB2903939.

There are some corrections in 2903939 I would really prefer to have, so I hope I'll be able to install it quickly.

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using the methods above
It is preferable to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

  • Pavillion DV6 with newly installed Windows 7 keeps giving up wifi connection

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion DV6z-1100 with an Atheros wireless adapter.  It was running Vista 64 and I have just updated, do not replace one update, Windows 7 64.  The WiFi was working until I installed the new operating system, but now the connection keeps dropping.  The system connects to my router, but after about a minute.  It will be then plug back in and let it go without ever stay connected for more than a minute or two.

However, it is not the connection between my laptop and my router is down.  My laptop says that the connection between my router and the internet is a failure, even if I have four other devices connected at this time that has not experienced any problems.  I checked that the drivers were later and tried connecting with the firewall disabled.  I have not updated the bios.

    Any idea on next steps?

    Thank you.

    3. what internet browser do you use?

If you use Internet Explorer you can see the steps below.

    Method 1.
Given that most of the games requires the Java runtime library or Adobe flash to work I suggest you to install the Java runtime library on Internet Explorer and Adobe Flash Player.
    a. Update Flash player and Java Flash:
I recommend you update Adobe flash player on the website below:

    b. also download and install the library Java Runtime from the link below:
    https://www.Java.com/en/

    Method 2.
    a. If the problem persists, you can optimize Internet Explorer.

Note: After resetting Internet explorer you will need to install Java runtime library and Adobe flash again.
    WARNING:

  • Problems after Windows Update on Vista wireless

It seems that other people have a similar problem, but I'll post this new...
I've been running Windows Vista Ultimate on my Toshiba laptop for years without any problems.  Earlier this year, I started seeing issues after Windows updates.  The main problem is that after updates Windows, my wireless network is is more noticed and the wireless card (which was installed on the computer, and never had problems before) is not recognized.  I manually installed updated drivers with no luck.  The only thing that has worked is to do a system restore to a point before the updates.  The problem seems to be related to an update in general, I can't uninstall.

I find it extremely ironic that I have no problems with Vista until Windows 7 is launched. First of all, it's the wireless card, then a problem with a driver graphics card (apparently... which seems to be fixed now) and return to the wireless card.  Should I expect to continue to have problems unless I upgrade to Windows 7?  I can't continue to spend half of my day trying to fix my computer after an update that is supposed to fix the errors, but I don't like the feeling that I am forced to upgrade.

    Hi dabaum77,

From your post, it seems that the issue was occurring when Windows updates are installed automatically again even after the restoration of the system and that is why I suggest to restore the system again to a point before the updates and download and install Windows updates manually.

    Access the link below
Follow these steps to disable the automatic updates:

    1. open Windows Update by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then in the list of results, click Windows Update.
    2. in the left pane, click on change settings.
    3. under important updates, choose the option you want.
    4. under recommended updates, select the Give me recommended updates the same way I receive important updates check box, and then click OK. Need administrator permission if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Install the updates one by one and check the update is causing the problem to occur. If the problem persists due to a particular update, repeat the process and refrain from settling the problem causing the update to.

You can also check the update problem in Windows Update history.

Follow the steps to check which day caused the issue:

    1. open the control panel (all items view), and click the Windows Update icon.

    2. click on the link to view update history.

    3. to view the details of a single Windows Update-
    (A) select and right-click on a Windows Update list, and then click details.

    (B) click on close when finished.

You can also uninstall the update that is causing the problem to occur, although it is not recommended.

    1. to uninstall a Windows Update, you must go to programs and features. There are several ways to find it. One of the simplest is to use the search box on the start menu.

    2. in the programs and features, click the link updates installed.

    3. after a few seconds, Windows Vista will load the list of installed updates. Scroll down the page until you find the update you want to delete, select it with the mouse and then click on uninstall.

    4. Windows Vista will ask you to confirm that you want to uninstall the update you selected. Click Yes and the uninstall process will begin.

5 depending on the size of the update, the uninstall process may take from several seconds to several minutes.

    6. wait for the window above will disappear and, if necessary, restart your PC. The update is now deleted.
