Problems with the modem Toshiba G450

Hello

We faced a problem. We have installed a software and drivers of Toshiba g450 on different laptops to use it as a modem for a mobile phone network. When we have logged in as administrators all fine, when we have logged on as a normal user in the field, the software will search the modem without success. We do not have such a problem with other USB modems.

Thank you

André

Sorry Andrew, but this forum is explicitly designed to discuss with the portable mobile computer.

  • Connectivity problem - problem with the modem or the router of network

I had a network with 2 computers.  The main computer was a Windows XP operating system and the secondary is a Windows Vista operating system.  There was a modem connection and the router. Due to a storm and a leak in my ceiling in my main computer got wet and I couldn't use it.  I have connected the modem without the router directly to the secondary computer, but it is not recognize the modem.  "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage." So I ran the diagnostics and received a message that there could be a problem with the modem or the network router.  I did the thing 'ipconfig' and there is no gateway.  Is there anything I should do to make this secondary computer main computer?

    Hello

If you use a router there is no primary and secondary, all the computers connected to the router are equal.

Many Internet service providers allow you to control some form of autehtication (ID, PW) online journal.

Your router and the computer humid probably were installed to authenticate.

If the router does not use it.

Otherwise, contact your ISP and ask for the help of authentication.

  • Problems with the modem on L40 (Vista)

    Hi guys,.

I am trying to help a friend out with his new laptop computer, as she dosen't have DSL and needs must use dial-up. I'm new to Vista so please tell me if I'm missing something obvious.

Right... I use the same cable modem and telephone line that also works on another PC, and before ask you I pluged it in the modem port and not the ethernet port. I can query the modem ok by Device Manager / modem properties. I noticed that the modem is configured for some software of Toshiba and not a comm port, is this correct? When you look at the software Toshiba itself it looks like the comm3

When I try to create a dial-up connection / use dialer I get the error that it cannot get dial tone, I also tried to change the setting so that he always tries to dial without tone, nothing helps. If it works on another PC ok, I'd say it was the cable modem or phone line.

    Any ideas?

    See you soon

    Hello

Are you if that cell phone is properly connected to the telephone line in the wall?

  • Problems with the new Toshiba Dynadock V10

    Hello

First of all, sorry for my bad English :)

I buy the toshiba dynadock v10 to connect all my external devices to my laptop DELL inspiron, via a single USB cable.

All devices (mouse, keyboard, ethernet, external hard drive) work well, except the samsung TFT (connected via DVI - I to VGA), which after some time of work, to freeze and I have to use the laptop monitor instead.

This TFT works OK when disconected from the dynadock, and I try all the USB ports on my laptop, but the problem continued.

I ve instaled the new version 5.3 of the DisplayLink software, but the problem is still in force.

I ve position in the DisplayLink Forum on this issue, with a debugging log file, and the answer was:
+ Thanks for the newspapers. They show: +.

    + 01:04:22.440 DeviceWindow:USB_0117_002780 DeviceRaw USB_0117_002780 WARN DeviceRaw.cpp:133 Connect USB_0117-002780 failed: failed USB transmission +.

+ Means that there is a problem of communication on the USB and software is loss of connection with the dock. My guess is that there is somewhere a hardware fault in the connection of the USB cradle to the computer. I'm sure that this is not a software problem. +

You have reported similar problems? Is there something I m doing wrong?

    Thank´s

    Hello

I'm not very well what's going wrong here, but this might not be a problem of dynadock m
It seems that your Dynadock loses the connection with you laptop.
Have you tested this Dynadock with other computers if it would happen too?

However, on the European driver Toshiba page, you will find the latest software for Dynadock V10.

You choose in the form download this:
    Options-> connectivity-> Docs & ports-> Dynadock V10 replicators

Right now, I could find the v2.5.0.4 software

  • Problems with the modem with XP Pro

I upgraded to XP Pro and cannot create a dial-up connection because this option is not available for me. I checked the Microsoft support pages and enabled dial-up as suggested by using regedit.
Still no difference. So I guess that the modem or the modem settings are the problem.

In Control Panel, if I go to phone options and modem, I see "Toshiba Software modem AMR COM4" but, if I go into the settings of the Modem in Control Panel, I get the message that the modem is not installed correctly and I have to uninstall and reinstall. I did this several times without success.

He drives me crazy - can anyone help?

  • Problem with the modem after reloading XP on Satellite Pro M10

I recently rebooted XP on my Pro M10 and now I get the message in the Modem Properties: Diagnostics: Query Modem - "the port that the modem is attached could not be opened. This is perhaps due to a hardware conflict. Check the Device Manager to verify that all devices are functional. As far as I know, the device displays the modem (COM3) Manager works OK. But it's not!
    Can anyone help? Thank you.

    Hello
Before starting the discussion on the modem can you please be more specific with the term reloaded? You reinstall the unit using the recovery CD or Microsoft full version CD?
It is very important because after the installation of the recovery CD, it should work properly because the image of Toshiba includes the correct driver for the modem. Otherwise, you should try to reinstall the modem using the right of the page to download CD Tools or Toshiba driver.

  • Anyone having problems with the modem from Cox and Time Capsule

    Hello

Lately my internet falls down every day or every two days with Cox. I have reset the modem, the time capsule, the routers extreme apple, etc. shut down and restart my whole network. I called Cox every two days to refresh the modem.

I heard that I may need to reconfigure my Time Capsule (acts as a router) to avoid this problem.

No one knows what to do here?

    Thank you

    Please, try the following:

Open the AirPort on your Mac utility (Finder > Applications > utilities > AirPort Utility)

Click on the image of the time Capsule

Click on edit in the window that appears

Click on the Internet tab at the top of the next window

Click the Internet Options button at the bottom of the window

Make sure that the IPv6 configuration is set to Local link only

Click on save, if you make changes, then click Update at the bottom right of the window

When Cox fully implements IPv6 (they are not), you may be able to return to the automatic configuration.

  • Problem with the Modem devices: Modem already used or not properly configured

I use windows 8. Until last night, my laptop was working fine, but now it rejects all the modem devices, I try to plug it. I tried to connect to internet via Auntie photon and reliance netconnect +, but this message "Modem already in use or not properly configured" keeps on appearing two modem devices? Is there a problem with my OS or my laptop? Help, please

    Thanks for the solution.
Well, my problem was similar but different too. The method to uninstall the modem device is correct. I tried, but still it did not work.
My problem was that I have 3 different modems installed on my pc, but I used one of them. So I would uninstall only one I used. It turns out that we have to uninstall all modems. Its pretty simple, but its not so obvious. I thought about it later in like 2 days. I hope that people reading this don't have to wait 2 days to fix this problem.
  • Satellite A200 - 13 M - XP x 64 - problems with the modem drivers and webcam

    Hello!
I recently installed Windows XP x 64 on my laptop.
I have two devices that do not work properly.

    (1) does anyone know how to get the driver for the built-in modem? There is no version the x 64 required for download.

    (2) the webcam does not work. I had a problem of 'Windows Image Acquisition': error telling me to put this service to activate the webcam. The problem is that this service is, by default, already activated.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello

You are right. 64-bit drivers are not available. Unfortunately, 64-bit version is not supported. To be honest, I'm sure that the modem is not so important for you and you can turn off this feature.

I can't say much because I use the 32-bit operating system only on webcam.

  • Problem with the modem does not

I come from Netflix through Wii I can get on it and upload a movie, then when I go back and try to get another or do something else, he says I am offline. The modem no longer works. I can't use WiFi on Iphone either. I can close my modem for a bit then he put on my internet Iphone works and will Netflix. I get Netflix early looking around, then he'll do it again.

    Thanks for any help.

Let's see... your post included Netflix, Wii (by Nintendo), iPhone (by Apple), an unidentified modem (which may or may not include your wireless router) and does not mention your ISP.  Why do you ask your question in a forum of Windows XP?

Just guessing, but I would say you should replace your wireless router or talk to your service provider.

  • Question / problems with the TV Toshiba 40TL938 (40TL938F)

    Hello world
I bought the Toshiba TV 40TL938 french version (40TL938F), in an online store.

I have a few question / problem and I hope you could help me.
-When I play subtitles embedded video MKV files via USB, works well, but for me, they are too small, too thin and too white. I can make them biger, more large and with a black shadow around him? If so, how could I do that?
-When I play MKV via DLNA (with XBMC) video files, there are no subtitles more. Whose fault is this? My TV? XBMC? Do you think, how can I fix?
-does anyone know if DTS will be supported sooner or later in 2012 toshiba TV models such as my 40TL938

    76 user manual page:

You will need to check the option: + Subtitle + type

    > when I play MKV via DLNA (with XBMC) video files, there is no subtitles more. Whose fault is this? My TV? XBMC? Do you think, how can I fix?
I guess this isn't taken in charge by using DLNA

I have found no information about the DTS :(

  • Problem with the software Modem on Satellite Pro L40

I tried to set up a connection Dial-Up Networking on a Satellite Pro L40 running Vista and can't get the modem to talk to the modem from the ISP. The connection appears OK and then you can hear the modem dial, but when the ISP picks up there is a bit of yelling and then my modem abandons the connection and I get the standard vista connection failed box.

    Things I've tried:
-latest drivers for the 2.1.77.0 modem (and the rest of the system) downloaded from Toshiba and installed OK
-all the updates of windows installed
-removal of the modem in the Manager of peripherals and re - install
-suppression of the agrsmdel.exe and then re-install
-try different cables to plug into the phone jack
-several different ISPS and phone numbers
-reduce the maximum speed of the connection
-connection to the same ISP with my Satellite L10; works very well never have time!
-using the windows to diagnose and repair the tool (set last resort!); says that the modem works fine and can not find a problem with the connection

Is it possible that the update of the BIOS on the laptop would make a difference (currently v 1.60)? I did some research on Google and found messages on various forums, which suggests that the connection between the motherboard and the modem chip is a little doubtful for all the Agere Soft Modem; If the case is it something I can fix myself or I should go for warranty repair?

I'm sure that there is no problem with your modem, but with the configuration or even s ISP modem. I recommend you to speak with the support of the ISP.

  • Problems with the new modem DSL and Linksys BEFSR41

My Speedstream modem died and I had to buy a new modem.  At this time of year, it is difficult to find exactly what I wanted and I ended up buying a D-Link DSL - 2320-B.  I got the Linksys BEFSR41 (old version 1, I think) for years and it has always worked well.  I have problems to get an internet connection through the router.  With the modem connected directly to the network card, as now I have no connectivity problem.  I had to change the IP address on the Linksys BEFSR41 192.168.2.1, as the modem is 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1 as the old Speedstream.  I couldn't see a way to change the IP Address of the new D-Link.  I have my ICS TCP/IP set to auto obtain IP and DNS.  I was previously created for a fixed IP of * provided by the router.  Even with the setting on the router to "Obtain an IP address automatically", I can't to the internet with the router in the middle.

    Any help will be appreciated.

Your modem is a combination of the modem and the router. The problem occurs when you try to connect another router behind this configuration and end up having 2 servers dhcp and nat 2 (for port forwarding and other issues, creating in some cases where even branded products use ip addresses will clash and devices will not connect at all when him are interconnected).

To avoid the situation described above, it is recommended that you enable the full Bridge mode on the modem / router that you currently connected to the internet and let your new wireless router controls all the functions within your local network and the internet connection (you must enter all the details in the new router, including Internet service provider username and password).
