ProBook 4430 s: unable to connect to wifi after software update, only can connect through ethernet

Need some help here.  This is the second time something like this happened to me but the last time I could happen to someone who could help you by phone.  This time, no luck.

My computer recently had an upgrade of the software (I think it was an Apple / itunes software update, but I remember now because I chose not to close to complete the upgrade).

Now I can't access wifi on this computer, however my other computers in the House all the work.  If something is here.  Can anyone help?  I have Windows 7.

Hi @TomKarl ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked into your question your of you Probook which is a commercial product. To get your question more exposure I suggest you post in the trade forums since it is a commercial product. You can do it at Business Forum.

But you can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and wasn't on the laptop.

When running a system restore note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices because they can cause problems.

Thank you.

    Hi Big Boss,

    1. do you receive an error message or error code when connecting Bluetooth devices?

2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

This problem occurs because of Bluetooth settings, try the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Check the status of the Bluetooth Support Services.

    a. Click Start, type services.msc and press ENTER.
    b. double-click on Services to Support Bluetooth.

  • Satellite Pro C850 - problems with WiFi after Windows update 8.1

    Hello

I was wondering if someone could give some advice on a problem I have.

Had an adjustable C850 Pro for a few months and worked well on Windows 8.
I myself am then harassed and intimidated by Microsoft Update in order to install Windows 8.1 and in a moment of weakness, I succumbed (got sick of the nagging).

Since that time, my wifi is very intermittent; either I'm on another computer write this and the laptop is essentially not connected to the internet.

For some reason any (although I didn't try it before), I can not connect via ethernet either, so I think it's probably the driver problems. (I also tried to connect the public wifi but fails).

I tried to install the driver WiFi Toshiba 8.1 but that has not solved the problem.
Then I noticed that I'm supposed to install a bunch of drivers in the order.

Maximum setting to do it, but the first package (associated with bluetooth) said I have to remove the current driver... I try by "turning off", then "Uninstall" but 8.1 seems to re - install automatically and I don't know how to disable this option (I can try to delete the driver file, I guess, but I'm sure 8.1 covered too and will probably launch a drone to try me out ", if I do). *

Any kind soul there suggestions on a way forward? Pls.

I see in the instructions of Toshiba Windows Update 8.1 should I have uninstalled the drivers before the update, but there is not much I can do about it now. :(

    Hello

    > I don't see in the instructions of Toshiba Windows Update 8.1 should I have uninstalled the drivers before the update, but there is not much I can do about it now
All your problems with the Windows 8.1 update related to the fact that you have not upgraded the Windows 8.1 system as recommended by Toshiba.

    Details:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/generic/windows8_1-message/

    Solution?
Back to Windows 8 (reset the system back to factory settings)
Then, install all updates and patches for Windows 8 and follow along with the upgrade of system as described on the Toshiba Windows 8.1 upgrade page

On the page of the Toshiba UE driver, you will find all the instruments that must be installed in the correct order and Windows 8.1 driver!

  • Windows 7 cannot connect to internet after software update

Last week my brother called me stating that he had updated Adobe Reader and it said to reboot. After the restart, his computer was delivered indicating he had no internet access. I went to the wire and took a look at his computer and discovered that, although he said he had access to its local network, he could not access the user interface of the router. We checked cell phones through its wi - fi and Netflix connection on its Blu - ray player. These two worked, if the router is always connected to the internet, even if the computer could not connect. We tried to reset the router to the factory settings, but still could not access it from his computer. Finally, we did a system restore to a checkpoint from the morning before this happened. After the restoration, the internet works again and all the updates without any problem.

Last night, I received a call from my cousin who, after an update of its AMD graphics drivers, had the same issue with network connectivity to reboot to apply updates. He had already tried to reset his router, which was a different brand/model, but not able to access the user interface even though his computer showed that he had access to the local network. I proposed the restoration of the system, which worked.

This looks like exactly the same problem despite an update for me different is originally on each computer. None of these updates should affect what anyone with the network settings of the computers, and updates same ran after the restoration had all the problems. Does anyone have a possible explanation for the way in which this issue could occur?

These PCs have McAfee? McAfee has been updated at the same time that the last batch of Windows 7 & updates updated to Adobe, but McAfee which is the cause of problems of internet connection for most, if not all, users of McAfee.

See the communication from this "criticism" - McAfee

Some customers may experience a loss of network connectivity and/or errors in McAfee Security Center after a recent update

You should make the fix McAfee, if necessary. There are corresponding communications for their enterprise products.

  • Unable to connect through wireless F4580: "unable to retrieve the IP.

    Hello

I live in France, where the F4580 and trying to connect wireless.  The printer works fine when connected via USB, but I can't make it work wireless, HP installation wizard gives me:

IP address: impossible to retrieve the IP

Subnet mask: Impossible to retrieve the IP

Default gateway: failed to retrieve the IP

Preferred DNS server: unable to retrieve the IP

Auxiliary DNS server: unable to retrieve the IP

I use a MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard on an ISP Internet Orange Livebox. I saw some issues autour, but none exactly what I have with the same configuration.

Filtering of Mac addresses: a possibility, but other laptops are able to connect to this wireless with key security without problem. similar here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-networking-and-wireless/Wireless-set-up-HP-F4580-vs-Orange-Live... but also seems to be PC

Orange Livebox problem: question mentioned here: http://livebox.tomhallam.co.uk/tutorials/how-to-install-a-printer-to-your-livebox-liveprinter.html but that seems to be for a PC

Question in Snow Leopard: is not compatible software for SL? I see this: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-networking-and-wireless/C4780-Snow-Leopard-Airport/m-p/174198/h... but that's a different printer model

    Issues related to the:

How to find the IP address of my printer?

How to find the MAC address of my printer?

How can I print my network Config page?

Of the ideas there?  Any help is very appreciated.

Many routers-wireless Orange Livebox require that press you a button to add a new device to the network.  The button is probably located at the back of the router.

I think we should start over.  Try the installation process of the printer F4580 using the driver from www.hp.com located here.  Once it scans and detects the printer, press the Connect button on the back of the Livebox wireless router.

  • OfficeJet 8600 (firmware CLP1CN1232AR) cannot connect to WiFi after firmware update

My printer recently auto-mis updated my HP Officejet 8600 it is firmware CLP1CN1232AR and after that, it is no longer able to connect to my router. I can connect to my old router R6300 with her, but not my new WNDR4700. Newspapers say he is rejected for wrong security. I can connect to the R6300 and then give him the exact specifications (WPA2 AES), but it still does not connect. I don't know why the WNDR4700 is no longer, but something has changed in the last firmware that make it miserable. Is it possible to downgrade the firmware? There is another difficulty to operate? Other people have trouble with the new firmware?

Posted my problem on another forum, thinking the new laptop caused the problem

Resolution is the same: restart the router!  So simple, but who wants to go up the road to the ' net?

Router is a cisco Linksys e1000.  Apparently an HP upgrade was nestled among these 25 MS Windows downloaded when I got on the road.

    Thank you and Bravo!

  • Unable to connect through Blazer... help!

    Treo new user here...

I have a Treo 650 and can't get the blazer or receive new e-mail messages.  When I click on 'Web', it tries to connect but I evenutally get a message stating "error: unplug the data in network Prefs and switch Off of a connection in the Bluetooth Manager and try again." (0x740F).  First... I don't have a bluetooth connection and Bluetooth turned off.  I looked around Pref in the network section and couldn't find something that looks like this.  The message I get seems simple enough, but I'm missing something.  Help!

Also... The person who had the treo in front of me had an email through ozemail.  Every time an email is delivered to the address of ozemail previous users, I get a message advising me of a new email.  I never heard of this accommodation of emails or have ever had an email via ozemail account.  I bought the treo via an ebay store, so I don't know the previous user.  It does not have an e-mail address when the text goes by, so I have no idea how to do to stop these notifications.  Any idea?

Hello..  Yes, the hard reset will erase all data on the phone.  When finished it will be like a new device you just took out of the box.  This is why you want to backup by synchronizing first.  Now here is the problem.  When you resynchronize, you want to first go to the computer at C:\program files\palm (or palmone)------your hotsync user name\backup and rename the backup to an old backup folder.  In this way it does not return the problem to the device.  If you use palm desktop 6.22 the path is my documents/palm os software/user/backup of the files. It is possible that you have changed a setting in prefs and there is a place for a user name and the passwork to connect to your network provider.  For these parameters, you would need to talk to them, but if you hard reset and then turn on the cellular radio should automatically pick up that you talk to a tower.

  • IOM database Applications Table is unable to connect through GTC - Weblogic, Linux

    Environment:
    IOM - 9100 (public download)
    Red Hat Linux
    XLADM Oracle 10g
    WebLogic 8.1 SP6 - no cluster

I installed the connector database applications and am trying to set it up via the generic technology connector, but it keeps failing to connect. I know that these settings are correct and validated via sqlplus------SQLDeveloper. It is also the database same exact (no SID) that hosts XLADM as well, so I know he can find the machine and others. I had another previous IOM on JBoss install locally on my Windows workstation that worked well too. I can see in the paper that the DBProvisioningTransportProvider becomes the fine accessories and then explodes trying to connect. I tried even update the drivers of ojdb14.jar in XELLERATE_HOME/ext and it doesn't matter. I'm sure it's something simple, connected environment or a bug. Any help is appreciated.

  • Unable to connect through faceebook tried with IE and everything is good, but not with Mozilla, help?

I tried to sign up with Facebook for 1 site, I went all hollow but he never signed, so I thought it was problem Web Site and tried later, now it has appeared an empty window it appeared for one second and passes out, I tried the same thing with IE (Internet Explorer since I use only Mozilla) and it went well I registered without any problems at all... Help, please... I love this browser...

I tried everything when it came to reinstall Mozilla, I was angry...
So I tried to reset Firefox and it helped, I don't know what was the cause of problem, I removed all of it before and the problem was the same, the only thing reset changed is 2 lines in the config:
    Subject: Config
    < network.http.pipelining.aggressive; true > to < network.http.pipelining.aggressive; false >
    < network.http.pipelining.max - optimist-applications; 10 > to < network.http.pipelining.max - optimist-applications; 4 >
I think that the problem was not in the lines above...
Thank you for your attention, I am pleased to see that some1 help if I'm going to be in trouble with Firefox
