ProBook 6450 b: helmet not detected... ?

Hello

As of today, I suddenly have this weird problem that the helmet does not seem to be detected properly. This happens with Windows by default and the driver IDTdriver.

When I use the Windows driver by default, only the speakers are present in 'Sound' (power off devices are displayed). The helmet doesn't seem to work; If I plug it or not, I only get sound on the speakers.

When I use the IDT pilot, all playback devices are showing in 'his '. However, this time around the speakers do not work and that the helmet works. Interestingly, when I go into the IDT Control Panel, the headphones are still displayed as "trendy", even if they are not.

I also removed the Intel graphics driver. Because it contains a sound driver of its own. I thought that it can interfere with other audio drivers. It turns out that it does not seem to influence.

All this leads me to believe that the problem is not that the headphones or the speakers do not work, but that something is wrong with the detection of a helmet...

I hope someone can help out me!

I had the same problem, and it attaches the reinstallation of my audio driver.

I went here:

  • ProBook 4720 s does not detect the SD card inserted

I get no response when a SD card snaps, but 8 GB Transcend card is recognized very well of my little netbook from Toshiba.

This is the first time I tried a card in this HP, although I got it a few months. Running Win 7 Pro 32-bit.  BIOS HP 68AZZ worm F.0F 18/02/2011.

Well, I contacted HP support and got a helpful response within a day. Siva gave me urls for two drivers that I apparently needed (not very new drivers and I don't know why they were not there in this new machine, but any way..) and they installed, unlike the one I found just for me and giving a message "forbidden". However, once installed, both raised the box "this program cannot be installed correctly" (that I've seen before and never known what to do about it except devoted to work and hope for the best).

With the drivers installed, the system * fact * detect the SD card so that it has shown in Device Manager and gave sound signals when it has been installed and removed. But he does not have assigned a drive letter and did not show in Windows Explorer, while it was still incommunicado or to serve as a ReadyBoost file storage.

Thinking that it seemed that HP problems were over and it is now a Windows problem, I spent a few hours to make the seemingly useless things in Windows, all having to do with recovery of AutoRun, which is not.

Now the SHIFT key while inserting the SD card could start AutoRun. Also, I gave the command 'net start shellhwdetection' and told me that the service was already running. And AutoFix.exe from Microsoft verified that the shell hardware detection service was on and the autostart value. But to step next, as the wizard repair didn't see that other readers, not the SD card, so I couldn't specify only * that * drive AutoPlay wasn't working on, and which ends the program.

Support software MS said that if ReadyBoost enabled and there (and it was) and still does not work there because some services he needed had been extinguished. So I Dove to the various lists and tried to turn on anything that seemed relevant and which has not already lit.  Nothing seemed to still accept my changes. Very frustrating. But then I went back to where I had left access control panel in Explorer, and I saw that the SD card has sometime been recognized and awarded drive E. Shazam!

Therefore, all followed the script and I could bring up the window of the tab (in the properties of the drive E) option for ReadyBoost and say, go ahead. He did, and it seems to work very well. It closes fast when I close the lid, with several major programs running, as well as 4 windows in FF with about 12-24 tablets of each, and it took only 60 seconds to wake up this morning.

So the problem is solved with something good help at HP, but not gracefully or usefully for others, I'm afraid, because I can't say yet exactly what I did.

  • HP Probook 450 G1: Windows 8 HP recovery disks has not detected

    Hello

In the hope of someone can help me. I recently had a problem due to what I have to perform a recovery using HP RECOVERY discs [I ordered it] I don't have the HP Recovery Manager or the recovery of microsoft. So I have to do only through HP recovery disks.

If his sudden has not detected in my laptop. I hit the bottom of the hard drive, I can feel that it is rotating. When I double clicked on it. It appears that I have to insert the disc. [Although I have inserted]. I wiped also DVDs with a cloth dry go with stripes. I tested on my PC it detected [of course it won't work because it is not HP PC].

I also diagonsised the hard drive [wide test] component, it has demonstrated that it meets the test. I tested both with other CD/DVD games. It works very well.

I hope you got my problem.

    Thank you

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but from your description, I understand that the HP Probook 450 G1 does not detect the recovery DVDs. However, the other CDs/DVDs work fine and the recovery (at least detected) on another PC media.

I understand that you need to recover, but despite this, Windows starts correctly now? What is the problem you can get you to try to recover? In Winows, recovery disks are recognized?

To be honest, I don't know why it is not detected, but there are some things you can try:

-Boot in the BIOS and disable secure boot + turn on Legacy mode

    Details > > http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/The-selected-boot-device-failed-Press-enter-to-continue/m-p/5730515

    Details > > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03653226

-Try to boot from the media of recovery of the DVD (first is the one that is re. OS - I see, you should have 2 recovery DVDs - one for the OS, one for the drivers).

keep hitting the Esc key (such as tap-tap-tap).

This should open a HP Boot Menu. Choose F9 to open the boot options. Select the USB drive as boot option.

I would like to know if it works for you.

Drive DVDRAM GT20L in my Probook 4510 s does not detect audio CD or CD of the software, but it does not seem to run OK for DVD video.

I tried the Microsoft Fixit tool, which says there is a problem, but he can fix it.

II have checked the registry for upper & lower filters, but there is no entry filter in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrenControlSet\Control\Class\ (4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318.

I tried to create a registry subkey.

All of the above is as stated in the support.microsoft.com/kb/314060/en-us.

I uninstalled the driver, removed the drive, rehabilitated the road and allowed the automatic detection and installation of the drive, to anything will do.

I have tried of course, update driver, but every time the system says that the best driver is already installed.

Do you have suggestions for other possible patches that I can try?

    Thank you

It's a hardware problem. The player has several lasers for multiple functions and it is quite possible for the function of CD to stop working and the DVD function fine. The only solution is a replacement player. This is a sale on eBay:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/HP-ProBook-4510s-4515s-4520s-4525s-4530s-DVD-burner-writer-CD-R-ROM-player-drive-/151116553242?PT=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item232f3f9c1a

This video shows how to get inside and do the replacement. As says the announcement you have to switch the facades of the old drive. If you need more help post back.

It's a lot more you need to do. After removing the keyboard, you can remove a screw in the DVD drive, and then drag it on.

    Hello team HP,

I just bought HP Probook 430 G2 and using the Windows 7 Entriprise 64-bit SP1 operating system.

Why bluetooth HW is not detected in Device Manager, I know that this laptop has built-in bluetooth.

    Please kindly help.

    Thank you

    You are the very welcome.

You are right.  This wireless card has built in bluetooth.

See if this driver installation get the bluetooth to work.

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?swItemId=ob_149791_1

If this is not the case, check the BIOS to see if there is a setting to turn bluetooth on or off.

If this isn't the case, install it and see if it detects the bluetooth radio and turn it on using the software.

Once you turn on the BT, you can either go to the use of the software or uninstall.

    Hello JoPerez:

GoTo this page: http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=5060881&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4058 there once Utility Tool page goto. Expand it and third a low install Battery Check (Intetnational). This wil let us know if it is software issues by reinstalling the software will write more corrupt software. You have a new battery which destroys a dead battery. Now you have reinstalled the software for this. If it still does not work. Then you know that it is a matter of internal material. That your computer needs minor repairs done on the subject. Could be a burnt wire or wire connection loose a computer repair man would know. Don't let not a Direct HP support because their services are vary bad and very expensive. Trust in me as my computers always returned in a worse state, and then they went to. Six times my HP Touchsmart 600-1050 went in back to back repairs. Seventh time I took my repairman of local computer and bought a good one used to repair damage caused by a Direct HP support and rebuild the computer so I could have a good computer for work.  An estimate in the front when you take it for repairs. If you bought at best buy do not take it for them because they will ship it back to HP Support live also so you end up paying double amount.  You're welcome frrw.

  • [ProBook 6450 b] 104-no supported Intel Advanced - N 6200 wireless network

    Hello

I have a ProBook 6450 b with the latest bios (F23) and remove the Broadcom wireless network and replace it with a new l an Advanced - N 6200 (support 300Mbps) and 5 GHz Intel.

Before I buy this wireless, I downloaded the manual and this wireless network is supported.

    http://h18000.www1.HP.com/products/QuickSpecs/13616_ca/13616_ca.PDF

    Page - 35

but when turn on the laptop, after the hp logo, I see:

"104 - unsupported wireless network device detected system interrupted - remove the instrument and reboot.

I try another device (Intel Wifi Link 1000) and this device work!

    Please hellp

    This is your problem then.

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop:

    http://bizsupport2.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c03122685/c03122685.PDF

The list of wireless cards supported with HP part numbers can be found in Chapter 3, beginning on page 44.

You must get the module WLAN Intel Centrino Advanced-N6200 802.11 a/b/g/n 2 x 2 with HP part #.

    572509 001.

Again, you can buy only a wireless card listed in the service manual for your laptop and it must have the part number HP on it or it won't work.

You can order directly from HP on the link below. You can change your country at the top of the page.

    http://h20141.www2.HP.com/hpparts/default.aspx?mscssid=F13BE835ABCA4E7C851B4DB0F4C74AFC

Or you might be able to get a card on eBay by searching by part number. Are not looking for the model number that you can end up with a card no HP.

    Windows 10 home

If my headphones are already connected when I boot on Windows 10, they are not detected as plugged and so the sound comes out of my speakers Apple Studio Display (not working not properly - the helmet should be detectable that plugged).  If I remove the headphone jack and taken in again once, the headphones are correctly detected that plugged and the audio goes through them instead of Studio display.

How can I fix this problem so that the headset connected at startup is detected correctly?

If you remove the headphones and before plugging back them in, can check if you can see a small red light in the audio jack?

It is now too late.  Does anyone have a resolution for this one?

    Thank you

I read in another post that changing the default BIOS settings should do the trick.

    That seems to work:

    -Stop the laptop

-Remove the power cable & battery

-Press the on switch for 30 seconds

    -Power home

    -Laptop power and press F10

-Enter the BIOS and set the changes to default

    That seemed to work.

Of course, restarting do not work and that is easy to fix (driven from power!).

  • Audio input Inspiron 15 3000 can not detect the headset

Audio input Inspiron 15 3000 can not detect the headset, but audio dell can detect something trendy. However, the playback sound device cannot detect any helmet. Now I only get gurgling in the helmet. How to solve this problem?

Hello. To test the headphone switch the native Windows audio driver Realtek audio driver.

    1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the box of Windows search).
    2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
    8. click on "next".
    9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.
[To return to the Realtek driver, do it again but reverse the names in steps 1-6.]

If it is still bubbling even with the native driver, test by using other headphones. If still no luck then probably hardware failure. Contact technical support for warranty repair.

If it works fine with the native driver, then the Realtek driver is buggy. Try a different version of the driver. If you need help with this answer comes back with the full model name (something like "Inspiron 11 3147", etc.) and which operating system there.

  • Line-In does not detect audio microphone?

I recently got a new headset, Razer Pro Kraken, and the line does not detect my microphone, I need because I use Skype. I checked and there the audio turned up completely, and I know for sure that the plugs are correct. What should I do to fix this? I am on Windows 7, if it helps.

And also - I can hear the audio, the microphone right pick up. And I know that he is not a defective product, because I had this problem with previous helmets in the past.

Hello. Your laptop is an Alienware M14x? Have you tried to reinstall the Realtek audio driver?

Reinstalling the audio driver will restore the default audio settings. On many models by default is for line-in (off mic amp) then you may need to select again for a microphone and set the mic boost levels.

I would check the settings both on the recording of the sound Properties tab (right-click on the audio icon and click recording devices, right-click on the microphone and set as the default, right-click the microphone, and then click Properties device, then the levels tab to set the push) and also the microphone of the Realtek Audio Manager tab. I would test the microphone using Windows Sound Recorder instead of Skype.
