Cannot read sequences in the Source monitor

Hi all, this morning I met a problem that I've never seen before, and I can't find discussions about this anywhere. I use CS6 first to edit a feature-length documentary, and the images amounts to approximately 715 concerts, I'm storing them on a disc of RAIDed 3TO. I worked on the project for the last week or so with no problems, but today whenever I try to open the clips in the source monitor interview, I get the yellow screen "Media pending". Timecode was audio parts sometimes independent, sometimes it just runs silently. Sometimes the images begin to play, sometimes the right source monitor panel turns green and is sitting there during the execution of the timecode. I opened another project to see if the question was to the system-wide, and reading worked very well there. THEN, when I came back in the doc project, opening clips in the source monitor opens the wrong clips, and then it started to open the clips of the other project, I had just tested. I'm supposed to have a meeting with the client tomorrow, and I am at a total loss. I tried to clean the media cache, I reloaded the program, I rebooted the computer, nothing did. Sometimes, video clips start to play and work for about 30 seconds and then I move the partition and everything freezes again. In addition, the program stops to respond at the slightest provocation, just right click on a clip to get its properties caused the program stops responding.

I'm under Premiere Pro CS6, windows 7 x 64

16 GB of RAM

HDD SEARCHED with 655 GB free of 1.81 to

NVIDIA GeForce GTX Graphics Card 680

The images vary. It's all 1920 x 1080 @ 23.976 fps, some is videos .mp4 mpeg with an aspect ratio of 1.0 and the rest is files .mov mpeg digital SLR with an aspect ratio of 1.0.

If I am not to provide certain information, please let me know, and any help is greatly appreciated!

UPDATE: now any read's wobbling or slow. I tried dragging the clips in the timeline to extract only the bits that I need right now, and my the program monitor just turned black while the audio ran under

UPDATE 2: I thought I might have a problem of memory, so I bought more RAM, up to 32 GB now, does not resolve the issue. A user of CreativeCow recommended to save my files to preview on my desk. Did this, no help. I pulled a few clips (about 40 minutes) on the timeline to see if I can make it out and extract of what I need. No luck, the rendering is running quickly for a minute or two and then slows down to an image every 5 to 30 seconds. Rendering of images in the same timeline plays very well, but nothing works in my source monitor, nothing is non-rendus works in my calendar. I'm at a total loss and 4 days late now. Any help would be massively appreciated

Hey Kevin, thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, none of these solutions worked for more than a few minutes. Honestly, I could just be overloading my system. I need to make the updates anyway. I migrated the project of a new super workstation to which I have access, and it seems to work well so far. It is unfortunate that I can't work from home, but the project is on track, that's all that matters.

  • can not see the wave forms when dragging clips in the source monitor

I'm editing interviews where images and the original sound has been grouped in merged clips or sequences. I love the source monitor editing in the timeline, so I drag the sequence in the monitor source from the location of the project. From there, I can see and hear the movie without problem. However, when I mark the starting points and insert the images into a new sequence (my own assembly), there is none of the waveforms. In the source monitor itself, if I change the Audio waveform display, there seems to be none of the waveforms here either. Its strange, because first of all, I can hear the audio, and secondly, if I open the original sequence in the timeline panel by double-clicking it, instead of in the source monitor, dragging in there, then I can see the audio waveforms very well... Sounds strange... that the program if not just showing the waveforms for sequences if they are in the source monitor?

Any ideas would be a massive help.

(this is CC, 2014, with the Canon 5 d footage and Wav audio files recorded separately)

    Thank you!

Thank you all for your advice.

I really discovered what seems to be the cause of the problem. In the sequence, there is a blank audio track for a reason any. When I delete the sequence and then drag this sequence in the source monitor, BEHOLD, I still see forms audio waveform. No idea why it shows one track empty when it IS... Weird.

  • Clipboard support in the Source monitor

Is it possible to load I have copy in the source monitor for me to switch on/off points?

Also, when I load a sequence into the source monitor Panel and then insert in my sequence, it inserts into a nested sequence - is it possible to insert individual clips so I can see the Cup points?

    Thank you.

  • Why the source monitor keeps a history of the clips?

I can first coming from a background in FCP7.  I find it strange that the first source monitor keeps a history of all the clips that you have previously loaded.  Why does do this, and is it possible to turn it off?  I'm used to FCP, where a new clip from loading completely destroys everything that was in the front source monitor.

The reason why I noticed, it is when working with sequences multi-cames.  Example: I'm playing a multi-clip sequence in the source monitor.  Later, I add a new angle.  The next time I play it in the source monitor, the angle is not there.  I have to 'close' and re - open in the source monitor to see the change.  This is disturbing, particularly because it does not even give a warning that "what you look reflects exactly the timeline."

In fact, in FCP, recent clips are listed in a menu pop up, they can be charged in all at once. Avid has a similar function. Premiere Pro's better allowing you to scrolls with the next and previous command or go directly to the first and last clips. You can close all clips, but probably not exactly as you wish.

  • Whenever I have cut an audio clip in my sequence, the source monitor freezes creating two of the same framework.

Whenever I have cut an audio clip in my sequence, the source monitor freezes creating two of the same framework.  I then have to wait anywhere from five to ten minutes only for Panel source monitor back to normal to continue editing, with playback.  Itself doesn't freeze, I am able to go into my settings and change again within the sequence.  It's only the source monitor.  Anyone know this problem and is there a solution?  Thank you!  My apologies if this has already been discussed in another post.

  • Shift + command + SPACEBAR launches the screenshot instead of reading the Source monitor

I try to use a hotkey (Shift + Ctrl + SPACEBAR) to review a clip in the source monitor, but it does appear a screen ScanSnap.  How to fix this?

I changed your title to be more searchable

CTRL/Cmd-Alt-K made a list of short films of keyboard, also found in the menu edit near the bottom. The short you list is listed in my list as playing to start... at least in the standard list for PC.

  • Transmit mercury only shows the program, not the source monitor monitor

    Hello people,

For some time now, I have this problem where only the signal from the program monitor is sent to my external monitor. The source monitor working within first on my computer monitors, but will not playback on my external monitor. It is in each project unique im working on and I find it very difficult to identify the problem. It won't work when I drag a clip from a location to the source monitor or make a match frame of the timeline. I would add also that sometimes, but not everytime, when the program monitor transmits very well and I do a double click on a clip in the tray or drag it to the source monitor, my external monitor goes black. This also happens when you do a correspondence framework. And to add another weird thing, the audio is being transmitted by the source monitor. First pro audio is routed through my external monitor. I can just hear end during playback of clips in the source monitor. It's just the video that will not be displayed on my screen.

My hardware is just simple Quicktime mov with ProRes in them in 1920 x 1080 so nothing special.

I have the latest version of first and my driver for the monitor of Blackmagic Mini is also updated.

    I'm open to suggestions!

    Thank you!

I think I solved my problem.  After a lot of troubleshooting, we ransacked the Premiere Pro preferences (hold down shift + option while launching the first) and the source has been restored.  Or my preferences were corrupt, or else my system has been set up in the reading panels and Audio hardware preferences.

Unfortunately, after a few days the reading of the source monitor went out again.  I trashed my preferences again and reading has been restored.  I'm still trying to understand why this has happened.

To answer your questions.  I am using a monitor.  He has worked with AJA Kona, but we recently went to Blackmagic so that we can use to Resolve.  I do not know if yes or no the Blackmagic was initially working right, but I don't think it was.  I got stuck on a large project, it was a few months before I could make a test or troubleshooting.

    I hope this helps!

  • Does anyone know a shortcut for create/exit points exactly 1 second (or no preset amount) in the source monitor apart?

Does anyone know a shortcut for create/exit points exactly 1 second (or no preset amount) in the source monitor apart?

For example, I want to choose a second clip sections of 5 minutes, but do not want to move the points of entry/exit with the mouse in the hand. Would also be useful to several clips where 1 s/exit points have not been established

    Thanks for all the answers!

Go to preferences and on the set of forward/reverse reading pane, for the number of images you want to move the read head (in this case 60, two seconds):

    And click OK.

Then put your first marker, then type shift + right arrow to move the playback cursor, the number of images that you entered.

If you type shift + left arrow , it will move the playback cursor backward the number of images.

  • image / photo not appearing is not in the source monitor or program

I work in Premiere Pro CC 2014. I can't see the pictures / images in the source monitor Panel or the program monitor. I can see the thumbnails in the bins, but when I drag the sequence or in the source monitor, the image does not come to the top in monitors. I can see the images in AE and in first Pro CC.

I have reset the workspace. I restarted the computer. It does not matter what is the file format.

    Thoughts? Thank you.

    Hey!

Have you tried to change the video rendering engine? If not, go to file > project settings > General and change the rendering engine video software of Mercury playback engine only. Click OK, and then select "remove previews."

    I hope this helps...

  • When I stop playing, the source monitor goes black. It does not show a still image after pausing.

I just got a HP Prodesktop 400 G1 MT, Intel core I7 processor. In first 8 adobe, when I stop the video playback, the source monitor and program monitor won't give me a fixed image. As soon as the video is stopped, the screen is empty while normally, they would be in a freeze frame. the computer has an AMD radeon graphics card. I have two pc for dual monitors. I tried to play with the settings of reading to the premier, but no luck. I'm about to take the computer to be recovered. Any suggestions?

Hello! Thank you for responding. I'm currently doing an update for my AMD display driver, and it is up to date. I called tech support and they helped me in the question of fixing from the option menu file - rendered video - general - project settings and playback - selecting mercury playback engine software only option. My computer was set to the GPU acceleration engine. It works fine now. Thanks.Aldo

  • Size of output to chronology doesn´t photo match the size in the source monitor

I am a new user of adobre first cc. I am facing a problem when I open an image (picture of adobe photshop) in the source (adobe first) monitor, the size is appropriate, but when I drag to the timeline in order to create a sequence pictures didn t keep the size that I capture the source monitor. In general, they are smaller than in the source monitor. Could you help me?

    Hi Pedro,

Please, do a right-click on the image and choose framesize greatness.

    Thank you

  • Framework of correspondence in the source monitor to the selected image in the timeline?

I would like to put the current time on an image placeholder in a clip on a timeline, then match that frame in the original clip and displayed it in the source monitor.  Avid does this, I can think of a work around in first, but hoped that there is a solution simple click.  Thankx.  Kevin

The first command is sequence > Match Frame. The default shortcut is "F."

If multiple items are stacked in the timeline panel, first select the one that you want to match. If no clipping is selected, then Match Frame goes to the clip on the highest targeted track.

  • behavior of scroll/zoom mouse in the Source monitor

Hi guys, long time lurker but first time poster. I was wondering if someone could help me with something. Basically, I love mouse scroll/zoom of the features Adobe in the timeline panel, but I hate it in the Source monitor.

In the timeline you can mouse scrolling the entire timeline to the left, right, up, down. You can use ALT upwards or downwards to zoom, etc. Meanwhile, in the Source monitor, scroll left, right, up, down, alt, etc... He advances to the read head. Which seems redundant when you already JKL.

It is not so much a problem when you look at images in the Source, but if you are looking to audio (a song or trying to locate a specific point in the dialogue to say), it's really nice to be able to use the mouse to zoom in and out, and scroll around the audio waveform as you would with film in the timeline panel.

Does anyone know of a framework that could allow this? The only solution I found is hover my mouse the small bar "resizer" (for lack of a better word) which is just above the button in the Source monitor Panel. If the mouse is positioned in this small drop little real estate, you can use the wheel to zoom and scroll the Source monitor Panel... But it would be nice if you could just do that by default. No chance we prefer settingI am not aware of?

  • CS5, no Audio output of the Source monitor, but output OK for the program monitor

    Hi all

Any thoughts on why audio output would be audible during playback in a timeline/program monitor, but the same clip doesn't produce audio output when loading in the source monitor? In the body of CS5.

I checked the preference settings and everything seems to be fine there.  We have just added a set of external speakers to this workstation and those are the audio devices in the program monitor.  When a clip is read in the Source monitor, speakers produce a nice low hum, but the sound of the clip is missing.  The buzz that crosses leads me to believe the audio hardware is mapped and set correctly, but maybe not?

    Thanks for your thoughts?

My apologies for the lack of detail... I know better than that.  Luckily I thought about it the problem.

The clip is Ikegami MXF.  The problem was that the first audio channel didn't have any audio recorded to it.  I changed the properties audio clip and disabled channel 1. Voila! The clip was loaded in the source monitor and the sound became audible.

I found the inspiration for the fix in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4324033#4324033

    Thanks for the research!

  • clip of waveform in the source monitor

How to me audio waveform of the music video to be displayed in the Source monitor, so I can edit audio. I am aware that I can Alt + click just the audio in the timeline panel to bring it in the Source monitor (it's what I want), but making it separates it video - if I adjust the entry points, and it affects only the audio not video.

Also, on a related note, any suggestions on how to add changes directly in this view audio source? What I mean is that I often edit the clips of the interview in the timeline and later need to edit small sections, false starts, the differences, er and um's, breaks shake, etc., and I need the cups to be exact. However, the tool blade do not work in this window to fix this that I find myself by placing two markers, then selecting the tool blade, go to the time line and then make cuts. I wish if I could just make cuts directly in this window.

To view an audio in the Source monitor Panel clip when the clip is in the Panel project, double-click the clip, or drag the item to the Source monitor. If a clip contains video and audio, you can view audio in the Source monitor Panel by clicking the exit button and selecting the Audio waveform.

    View of audio clips

any suggestions on how to add changes directly to this point of view source audio?

    Cannot do.
