Almost none of them are "necessary". He must decide for himself
Which ones he wants.

First of all, note that you should be concerned all the programs
starts automatically, not only those who enter in the system tray.
Not all the programs auto-start manifesting by an icon in the
Status bar.

On each program, you don't want to automatically start, check its
Options to see if he has the choice of not start (make sure you)
Indeed choose not to run, not just a "don't show icon.
Optional). Many can easily and better be arrested like that. If that is not
work, run MSCONFIG from the start. Run the line, and then click the Startup tab.
Uncheck the programs that you do not want to automatically start.

However, if I were you, I wouldn't do it just for the application of
the minimum number of running programs. Despite what many people say
You should be concerned, not with the way that a lot of these programs
you run, but who. Some of them can degrade performance severely, but
others have no effect on performance.

Don't stop all programs to run willy-nilly. What you need to do
is to determine what each program is, what its value is up to you which
the performance cost is its running all the time. You can try
Internet search and ask questions about the details here.

Once you have this information, you can make a smart informed
decision on what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of.

  • maximum number of processes windows xp professional

The computer that I used to work has a windows 32 - bit XP OS with between 70-77 processes running simultaneously. As I am disabled, I am almost totally dependent on voice recognition for the operation of this computer software. I had very little success trying to explain to the it Department, why the computer and the operating system are inadequate. I appreciate enormously any information about how so many process would influence the computer performance, taking into account its requirements for voice recognition software.

    Thank you

You have Windows XP Pro sp3... but it has been recently installed and you must activate it using your license key within the next 30 days.

You have an Intel Core 2 Duo 3 GHz processor.  It is a fast, modern and good CPU.

You have 8 GB of RAM - more than half is unusable because you have a 32-bit operating system.

This system should be more than enough for most home use or small business.

You don't identify which processes seem to occupy your cycles CPU.

According to Dell, your Optiplex 760 is compatible with Windows 7.  The processor and chipset supports 64-bit operating systems.  If you cannot identify which applications are bog down your computer (and it might be malware, it may be legitimate but UC applications), you should consider the purchase of Windows 7 (except if you can get your company to get it for you).  A 64-bit operating system allows you to use all 8 GB of RAM, and that alone should significantly speed things up.

  • I ended the process windows exploror and changed my theme

I tried to restart the computer 2 times and the process runs again, but I have a kind of classic theme now and can not change, I went to advanced tools > adjust the appearance and performance of windows, visual affects and tried to check the lower box that says use Visual styles on windows and buttons and clicked on apply but it keeps unchecking. So I'm frustrated verry

    Try to change your theme:

    1. open theme settings by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, appearance and personalization, personalization and then click theme.

    2. under theme, select "Windows Vista", and then click OK. "

    Or change your color scheme:

    1. open appearance settings by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, on appearance and customization, personalization, and then clicking window color and appearance, at the bottom of the page, click Open classic appearance properties.

    2. in the color model list, click on ' Windows Aero", and then click OK."

What is this error, why this is and how can I solve this problem

I read this from an old thread in this forum.
    Here is the suggested solution...
    Disable the webcam.
Start button > Control Panel > Classic view > Folder Options > view > first entry, check "always show icons never thumbnails" > OK.

Open your Webcam again. The message is passed now?
If so, turn off the webcam.
Back to Folder Options > uncheck the first entry "always show icons never thumbnails".

Open the webcam again. The message comes back?
    If not, problem solved.

  • Javaws.exe * 32 multiply on my list of processes Windows 7 SP1

Windows 7 SP1 on a HP Pavilion with an i5.

I the system disconnected from the network now and will not reconnect until this that fixed.

I had Norton running but stop it because I he blamed for the delay.  Then I saw the list of process on taskmanager filled javaws.exe * 32.

A ran malwarebytes found smoothly and have Defender running but the kills javaws.exe connectivity.

It prevented a java update to complete.  Prevents the Defender update, but not the analysis.

    I do I cut Javaws.exe?

How can I determine the cause?

    Thank you

    Steve

I had this experience before too - several times.  the javaws.exe keeps propagating itself.  What worked for me was perform a restart and then immediately uninstall Java before she had the chance to take over the machine again.  Must be quick to give the uninstall process works immediately when restarting.

After a reboot, I re-installed the latest Java and everything was fine.

  • Process Windows 7 Ultimate Fyqqbwsxd.exe

My windows 7 has now a process of Fyqqbwsxd.exe that works 100% of the CPU and lays 2-20 process what is - it, and it comes off.

I'm running windows defender and the system is set to auto install all updates from MS

It is probably malware. Run msconfig.exe, and then uncheck the items under the Startup tab until you find the culprit.

  • Oversee the process Windows with OEM 10.2

    Hi all

I use OEM 10.2.0.4 to supervise the different components of a Windows Server 2003 server.
I would like to create a test to count the number of a process to define (for example java.exe) and set to the result of certain thresholds of performance metrics:
    If number > 5-> WARNING
    If number > 10-> critical

Anyone know if I can do it with a kind of Generic Service target?

    Thank you very much.

  • During the starting process windows appears, then all is empty

Sometimes when I turn on my laptop it shows the windows screen and then it turns off. also, the hard drive light stops flickering.

I have to restart. This happens 2 or 3 times and then the laptop will start normally. No disc error or scan message.

In addition, even after I've logged in the screen turns off and the system stops working altogether. I have to manually switch and turn it back on. Yet once, no disk or scan error message does. I ran Toshiba diagnostics and everything seems to be working well according to it.

    Hi dude

First of all, it would be very nice to know what model of laptop you have. This info is much appreciated.

My first thought was a hardware malfunction. Maybe something wrong with the HARD drive. But in my opinion, you should first check if the same would happen after the healing of the BONE.
Try to recover the laptop with the delivered Toshiba Recovery CD and check the functionality of the laptop after this procedure.

    See you later ;)

Hi, I really really need help. I have a Dell Optiplex 330 with windows xp pro. I tried to restore to an update of the service pack, and while he was complete I got this blue screen. I'm sure its a mistake with winlogon.exe. However, I don't know exactly what to do to repair or replace. I have my recovery disk. Help, please.

I no longer need help. It took a little while, however, I was able to remedy. Yes! I'm not a computer expert or anything, but I've never needed the Geek Squad. However, I called almost done for this one. Laughing out loud. I'm so happy that I didn't have to reinstall the operating system. I have all my info. Yes! I keep large files so all my disks are always within reach. I was able to replace all bad files for registration through the recovery console.  Once you understand the computer language, the easier. There is hope. If someone needs information just ask.

Hello jaythree, it is possible that the hard disk has become defective.

Here is a link that contains information on how to run a test of hardware at startup.

If the test reveals hard drive is defective, that you would still have needed of all HP Recovery restore disk to reinstall your software on a new hard drive.

Look in the section: run the test from the start screen (boot).
