Product key faded faded

In my product key for windows laptop family premium is faded, or it wasn't clear to read.

I can offer this problem?

SO I CAN'T ACTIVATE WINDOWS

Option 1:

If the COA sticker is damaged, you must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7, it will be exempt from the need to use the product key to activate your installation of Windows 7.

Option 2:

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling. This will exempt the need to also use the product key.

Option 3:

If neither options 1 or 2 is possible, then you will need to invest in a new license of full version of detail.

-------------------------------------

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".

    Responses of expensive,

I used the recovery feature pre-installed (F9) to restore my archos 10 laptop Win XP.

I entered the product key of many variations and a ridiculous number of times but I thought its not valid.

I see in the forums/support pages that is not uncommon, however, the downside of a worn/faded product key sticker theres no hope!

I hope someone can help, something is appreciated.

Since it is an OEM version that the 3rd party "key finders" will not help you. Don't bother to google for them.

The only solution is to call the manufacturer of your computer...

    1. tell them your situation and see if they can help on the key issue of product.
    2. If they say "can't", ask them to send you a set od recovery disks. " THS cost is minimal and the money will be well spent. The game will save your computer when the computer breaks down.

    3. at the same time, ask to speak to a technician. Ask the person if he or she can teach you how to access the recovery Partition and how to use it to restore the system.

Suggestion #2 and #3 do NOT require the use of the product key.

  • I'm trying to re - install Windows, but the label of the product key on my laptop is all faded and illegible. I need a new product key.

original title: cannot activate Windows Vista

I was sent to Toshiba, then to mirosoft, back to toshiba, to then be sent to bak the guy for a related problem of microsoft. I made a recovery disk and reinstalled vista, I don't activate windows and now im area to and I can't find my cd and the product key on my laptop sticker disappeared. I need a new product key.

    Hello

We cannot give you a new product key

you are pretty much out of luck

key finder program will not find your product key that your system and your sticker is faded

Contact Toshiba if it is a machine of toshiba and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

recovery disk don't usually require a key input product on your part

    ask Toshiba about it

  • Faded to the Windows 7 product key sticker

I had to install a new hard drive on my laptop and did not have a Windows 7 installation disc Toshiba - laptop came with pre-installed software. The sticker of the product key on the base of the laptop is faded, so I used 3rd party software and extract the key from the registry. I downloaded an iso of Win 7 and used this product key and all very busy, and I used it successfully for the past few weeks. Now, it is said, I have 10 days to activate my product key is invalid for activation. I have read various threads that keep that product key recovered and used for the loading of Windows & is not suitable for activation, so I'm back to faded sticker. I figured out all but one the letters/numbers and wonder if I enter the product key sticker, and I guess that last number (I think it's a B, a 3 or an 8), if it turns out to cheat should I get another chance to enter the product key and try one of the other numbers/letters combinations? Thank you

You will never be able to activate a downloaded the ISO of Windows 7 with the key that came with the laptop. Your laptop came with a Toshiba OEM of Windows 7 version, and the ISO would be a commercial version.

You have to get a set of recovery discs from Toshiba or purchase the complete retail Windows 7 installation.

  • I have restored the laptop to factory settings, the product key sticker is faded... While the re-activation of it Microsoft office said "this is not a valid product key Office...". »

I bought my laptop with microsoft office 2010 is installed. I restored my laptop to factory settings, the product key sticker is faded so I used jellybean keyfinder to get it. While the re-activation of it Microsoft office said "this is not a valid product key Office...". »

What should I do to make it work again?

Please note that if you use the Windows 7 product key located on the certificate of authenticity attached to your system label, this will not work, it is only for Windows 7. You need a product key Office 2010. Also using the value default key OEM SLP for Windows 7 does not work with Office 2010

  • Faded product key

I have a pc desktop and on the side, I have a sticker with a product key to this topic but the macaron is very thirsty, I can see sort the product key, but I don't see what version of windows is for. Does anyone know how to check what the product key is for?

If you have currently installed Windows, or you can access the factory recovery partition that the manufacturer has put there, then you should be able to decide for you.  Otherwise, you will need to check your receipt original, product manual or contact the OEM manufacturer who has been authorized to resell this product key.

  • Product key is faded, I want to clean my laptop and start again

    can you help me?

As long as you use the recovery procedures from the manufacturer, you shouldn't have to enter a product key at all, as shown in the picture.

Otherwise, I think you have to buy a new key - even if some people have managed to install using the defautl key and then convince the representatives of Activation to give them a new time activation key - I don't know if they had to pay for it, however.

  • where can I find the product key for my computer, just in case the label is faded?

product key, serial number, number P/N and all the important information about my computer specially all stickers numbers and important information. at the back of my PC, because everything will fade out and can't able to read no more...

The product code is encrypted in the registry but Magic Jelly Bean Keyfinder will reveal the key, here http://www.magicaljellybean.com/

    The encrypted key is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion.

Note that if you have a version pre-installed Windows of a large manufacturer, your product key is the same on all computers of the same model. It is not identical to the key on the box COA sticker.

need a product key to enter because I had to reload everything

    Hey kimberlynothis

If you have already reinstalled vista and you don't know the product key we can not help you

If you had contacted these forums before you reinstalled vista we helped you with key finder programs

but as this is a new installation of vista not activated we cannot help you find the product key

If it is preinstalled, I suggest that you contact the manufacturer of your computer and ask them about recovery disks

normally, they do not require you to select a product key when you use them to reinstall vista

you don't say how you reinstalled vista

  • Windows 7 product key number on faded sticker

    Hello

I had the problem, can not read the 3 numbers on the sticker, tried to read this by using software and see that the number of software reading differs from that on the sticker. Why?

You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.

There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? Don't ask Microsoft. »)
