  Hello.  I have a desktop computer using Windows XP Pro and when I tried to reinstall windows, asked me to provide the product key that I don't have.  I don't have my Windows XP Pro upgrade CD, but not the info product keys.  How to get out of it, or how and where can I get this particular information?  Please advise as soon as POSSIBLE!

• Windows 7 product key missing 3rd defined in the product key

  I have upgraded to Windows 10 Pro Windows 7 of the month last it worked fine for about 2 months, then W10 started having problems with my free Wi - Fi connection. so I did a clean install of windows 10 Pro, but now my Win7 old files disappeared as well as the product key. I remembered I have the sticker. I read the first, second, fourth and fifth set of keys, but the 3rd series is really hard to read. Is there anyway to get my key, so I can redo my laptop back to windows 7 and update, then back to windows 10?  Microsoft maintains my past product keys somewhere so in the case of these situations? Any help would be greatly appreciated.   I did the key finder, see plu key and belarc but all it shows is Windows 10pro key. The main reason for this is that I'm supposed to have Direct X 11 or higher and it won't install the update 11 or higher version...  Any help with this is also greatly appreciated as well.

  You shouldn't have the key if you had previously installed and activated Windows 10.

  During the installation of Windows 10, there is a selection of say, 'I don't have a key.

  Select it and proceed with the installation.  It must be activated automatically by the digital right, you received during the initial installation of Windows 10.

  Microsoft keeps no record of keys.  You must contact the manufacturer of the computer to see if they can provide any assistance in getting your Windows 7 key.

  DirectX11 is part of Windows 7 and DirectX12 is part of Windows 10, you don't need to install it.

  If the product key provided with your computer (on a sticker, for example), then you will need to contact the company who made the computer to ask for a replacement.

  I just replaced my hard drive on my computer and went through the installation process. I have a legitimate version of windows that was recorded before. This is the same computer, but I can't find my product key for Finnish installation. I tried to call, but the given number cannot be reached in my region... apparently. Is there some way that since then I taped the product key can be recovered? I really need this for school so the sooner the better.

  If vista was reinstalled we cannot help you find your ket product with key finder programs

  I suggest that to contact dell about your problem

  You should be able to get the recovery disc of them who won't need any input on your part

  long story short, I installed the OS (vista Home premium sp2) and can't seem to get my product key to work (2 letters are very worn off the coast, but even with my guess more precise, nothing seems to work)

  Is it possible that I could get a replacement key? I know it's a crazy old BONE now, but still. I would get the computer and run again.

  Microsoft there will not give you another key, especially since it is a HP machine and all support comes from HP, which will only send back to Microsoft which will then take you to HP...

  You can try a torch and a magnifying glass to see if you can see the missing numbers.

  Or take a picture and to extend it on the computer

  Or you can ask HP to send you a set of recovery disc for your model computer reinstall the operating system to how it was when new.

  Contact the manufacturer of your computer on the ways to solve this problem.

  If you want to reinstall Vista.

  1. ask thrm if you have a recovery Partition on the hard drive to take it back to the factory settings (new condition)

  You have to press F10, F11, etc. depending on the manufacturer; ask them to know the exact details.

  2. ask to send you recovery discs to do the same.

  They normally charge a small cost for this service.

  Using one of the above methods normally does not require a product key for input on your part, because these recovery methods use product key factory of the manufacturer of Installation, which is used on several machines to activate with your motherboard.

  The question of activation is because you cannot use a Dell OEM of Windows version to activate on a Sony.

  The questions ImageSensor and mass storage controller are likely due to the fact that the Dell installation media is not the device driver appropriate for your Sony computer motherboard.
