Profesional OEM of Windows 7 and Office 2010 OEM policy for the upgrade of processor and graphics card
Hello!
I bought Windows 7 OEM (Ulitimate) and Office 2010 OEM (profesional) several months ago. (Less than 6 months). They have been activated very easily.
Then I bought the latest version of the Tomb Raider game. I installed it and now I can't playe is good, but not very good. Now, I'll upgrade the processor and the display adapter to play this game. If I do that, I have no problem with my windows and perhaps Office activation? If so, what should I do to solve the problem?
Thank you.
Change the CPU doesn't require re-activation, but if it is triggered, you can always reactivated by phone:
How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)
1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4
(2) press the ENTER"" key.
(3) select your "country" in the list.
(4) choose the option "activate phone".
(5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.
(6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

Original title: Windows Vista product key used for any new installation.
I bought the upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows Vista CD, then had a hard drive crash, then installed a new hard drive. Load the purchased Windows 7 on new hard drive, now I get the message '... Software Licensing Service determined that specified only usable product key for the upgrade, not for new installations. That means that I have to load Vista on the new hard drive, and then update? Both for the end user (paying customer) hostile.
However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.
15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.
So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

I'm about to buy a computer with 16 GB of memory. I'll of course need a 64 bit OS, it looks like a good time to switch to windows 7, XP. But windows 7 seems to have a very short life span. The OEM version is eligible for a special download offer upgrade $ 14.95 to windows 8 that seems due Q1 2013, but it seems that the retail version is not eligible for this offer? Like many people I do not upgrade OS every time is out. But why would I pay for an OS which is replaced in 6 months?
Huh?
14.99 reduction is a limited offer in time when you buy a new computer between June 2, 2012 and on January 31, 2013, with Windows 7. By October 26, 2012, the PC of all major manufacturers will come preloaded with Windows 8. The thing, it is likely to be the inventory on the market with Windows 7 for a while of OEM brand. If a consumer buys one of them, they should have the eligibility for the upgrade of Windows 8.
Of course, you can buy the new computer with Windows 7 pre-loaded, acquire the Windows 8 upgrade what becomes availalable and install it at your leisure and activate it whenever you're ready.
Yes, the retail version of Windows 7 is not eligible for the upgrade 14.99 discount, but you can get an updated copy of Windows 8 Pro for 39.99 beginning October 26, 2012 and ending on January 31, 2013.

Is it better to install Windows 8 'clean' on new PC compared to the upgrade of Windows 7?
Is it better to install Windows 8 'clean' on new PC compared to the upgrade of Windows 7?
- I use, for many years, Windows XP and Office 2003.
- Now I'm going to buy a new desktop PC for home use
(Internet, WORD, OUTLOOK, store a lot of pictures). - I have a dilemma, which OS is better Windows 7 or Windows 8
as I see many problems in Windows 8, and it seems that the SW is immature. - My first question is: what is your suggestion?
5. in case I choose Windows 8, MS will support not me, technically, by phone,
If the SW is integrated in the PC (from a 'Mark' PC manufacturer)!6 but if I install, first of all, windows 7 (legally) and subsequently UPGRADE to Windows 8.
MS will support me.
7. my second question is: put a time and money aside, concerns
the PC will be much less 'HEALTHY' after installing 2 operating systems
so if only Windows 8 will be installed on an SSD again, put in shape
(just for C = system drive, the data will be on a hard TB 3 second, mechanical
By car)?
Thank you very much

If you have Windows XP, Windows 8 might be bit overwhelming, though, you can familiarise yourself with it. Personally, I'd go with Windows 7 If you can get it.
5. in case I choose Windows 8, MS will support not me, technically, by phone,

That's right, you will get support from the manufacturer, because its their equipment. In addition, you can get support here in the forums.6 but if I install, first of all, windows 7 (legally) and subsequently UPGRADE to Windows 8.
MS will support me.
Yes, you will have 90 days of free technical support through Microsoft.

Well, if you make these facilities consecutively, there should be no decrease in performance.Thank you very much

I want to install Windows 7 to be able to play DVDs, I have to pay for the upgrade?
installation of Windows 7
Hi, I am running Windows XP and I would like to install Windows 7 in order to play DVDs. I pay for the upgrade? I am not very computer, is - this easy to install so free.
Thank you
JO SmithFirst of all, you need not to install Windows 7 to play the DVD. WinXP is perfectly capable of reading DVDs, as long as you have a DVD drive and the drivers appropriate devices and Codecs installed.
Yes, if you want to upgrade to Windows 7, you will need to buy at least a license upgrade. However, the "ease" of the upgrade process is relative, based almost entirely on your level of knowledge and skills. In general, the process is fairly automatic: just observe the instructions on the screen.
You should, before you continue, make sure that your computer is able to support Windows 7, and that the manufacturers of all connected devices (printer, scanner, webcam, etc.) have provided drivers for devices on Windows 7 for these items will continue to work.

Impossible to upgrade to windows vista ultimate from vista home Basic using the upgrade disc
I bought a disc "to upgrade use only" Windows Vista Ultimate at my University and tried to upgrade my current version of Windows (Vista Home Basic).
At the stage where I had to select the 'Upgrade' or 'Custom' installation option, I noticed that the interface was telling me, 'Upgrade Disabled"with a message that has been along the line"this version of windows is already installed and cannot be upgraded."I know that the upgrade disc was probably intended for the upgrade from an earlier version of Windows like XP, but I assumed that because Microsoft also sells discs "Anytime Upgrade" to do exactly what I'm trying to accomplish this I would have had no problem. For any help or suggestion that contact would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance. It's all about Service Pack.
We don't know what you have.If Service Packs came pre-installed on the operating system, there is no way to uninstall them.
You will need to swap the disk to upgrade to a later version that includes the missing Service Pack.In this case, your upgrade disk has NO Service Pack installed with it.
Take it back to the University, if you cannot uninstall SP1 operating system.
See you soon... Mick Murphy - Microsoft partner
