Aim profiles are specific to raw files or / Jpeg files, the above is specific to crude and will be unavailable if you have selected jpeg file.

Is there a way to get to the starting or opening any catalogue, have the profile Correction allow automatically checked?

I find it a bit cumbersom to make one then have to synchronize all until I really get to work on my files.

    Thanks for any solution.

Yes it is possible. However, you will need to repeat the steps for each camera model that you use.

    1. Select the file in the library module. The file must be one that Lr has a profile of lenses for and without any develop adjustments (i.e., a file not published)

2 go to the develop module

    3. go to lens Corrections Panel

    4. check the activate profile Corrections. Make sure the installation popup shows by default.

    5. go in menu development and choose the default configuration settings

    6. when the dialog box opens, press the update to current settings button

Above shows Lr to apply automatically the default profile for any file that has an available profile.

These lens profiles already exist, but lens profiles correspond to raw files (.) CR2 for your camera brand), only in general, including for the two lenses you ask about.  Here are some of the profiles that you see when you select a CR2 file:

  • Using a profile correction lens for micro four thirds?

I have a Panasonic 5 GM (micro four-thirds) using an Olympus 9 mm f8.0 fisheye.  The lens is silent (has no electrical contacts) so the camera knows what the lens is fixed and Lightroom cannot apply an AutoCorrect entry to the lens distortion and CA. I downloaded Adobe Lens profile creator and created a successful * *.lcp file to my goal.  It is installed in the subdirectory of files standard (I think):

Users/[username]/appdata/roaming/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0 (using a PC).  I use RAW files, but lightroom does not show the profile of correction as being available for my goal.  I downloaded a custom * *.lcp from Adobe and it went into a subdirectory under 1.0 "downloaded" heading, so I put a copy of my profile in there also.  I can see the downloaded profile. Still no luck with mine of Adobe Lens profile creator.  I know that most of the profiles of micro 4/3 lenses are applied automatically. Does this mean that Lightroom will not recognize my custom profiles?  I can apply a standard profile Canon or Nikon to my photos, so it does not resemble lens profiles are disabled for micro 4/3 images in itself.  Thanks in advance for any help.  R. It could be that the lens profile is built-in for that lens in the camera raw file.

  • Canon 24-70mm f2.8 II - profile correction does not

LR5 profile for the lens correction above does not work. It seems that it is a blank profile with zero distortion data. In revenge, the profile of the older lens, canon 24-70mm 2.8 I works well.

Having owned both I know version II of this objective within a distortion, but it is certainly not zero on the range. It is one of the most important top of the line for Canon lenses, I'm sure many like me would love this corrected profile.

    Thank you.

I also have to mention that in this profile data can actually be invalid because the focus distance so that the lens is 0.38 m

Another more fundamental reason to regard it with suspicion, would be that it signals a crop factor of 0, (of course) which is impossible.

The fact that someone in the community has rated 5 out ot 5 for the quality, is AFAICT, not exactly making authority.

The profile already installed with LR is distinguished by be generated with the 5 d Mk II, not the 5 d Mk III, but IMO is no reason to not prefer in other respects. Adobe seem to have done a thorough job here job.

It seems in this case, if a profile (apparently not valid) that was downloaded by the user, takes precedence over the "built-in". (These two categories of profile are stored in locations of different files with different permissions for the user.)

If you are not aware, the profile that should be selected automatically against a target shown in the footage, ID can be controlled by the user. Choose "Set as default" profile picker, after manually by choosing a he. All images with the same ID of the Lens, where the choice of a profile reads "Default" (which is a parameter of security to impose through all images), will adopt following a selection profile user-fixed, all by themsleves.

  • How do you get custom default settings to enable lens profile corrections automatically when importing?

I created default settings of serial number for my Canon Mark III 1ds include corrections of lens profile enabled.  Then, I created a user pre-configured with these corrections to default value.  Then I imported a folder of RAW images taken with the same camera Canon with the user checked under import profile.  When I switch to the module development and check the lens Corrections Panel, I see that even if it is verified for each file, the real model and profile are not met.

Is this a bug or I forget something when you import?  I understand that in LR 4, you can apply specific profiles of lens and camera serial numbers camera calibration (too much noise reduction etc.).

MacPro 2.8 Ghz Quad - Core Intel Xeon with 16 GB of ram running OS x 10.7.2.

Thank you.  I chose to leave the ISO unchecked so that images you lens corrections automatically based on serial No.  I would be a nice feature, as well, to apply noise reduction to a specified user ISO target number, that is to say 1000 or more.

  • Where can find lens profile correction for EF 17-35 f/2. 8 the goal using ACR 6.2?

Using Photoshop CS5 Extended on iMac 10.6.4.

I work with wedding photos taken by a friend, but I can't find the profiles of correction lens for Canon EOS 20 d or the EF 17-35 f/2. 8 the goal. When I search online, he said simply «no profiles found online» Is there a download for old profiles of goal? I checked and I'm using ACR 6.2. I don't have the camera so there is no way to take test shots to create my own profile. But it should not be an available profile; the camera is not old?

I don't know why you keep referring the 20 d. As long as the crop factor is the same than your 20 d model camera is not serious. If the lens profile on any Canon camera with a 1.6 crop factor, it works perfectly with your 20 d. However, as noted above, the goal didn't has not been profiled by Adobe for any camera model and it seems that no one in the community of users has created a no more.

FWIW, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for someone else to create a. Since your Rebel XSi has a 1.6 crop factor, you can use it to create your own profile.

  • Can I just apply Lens Corrections profile without fixation of the Chromatic Aberration on import?

    Hello

I work with lightroom on OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 5.7.1

I built a lightroom preset with "lens Corrections/Lens profile Corrections" checked as well as the 'process' and 'Calibration '. They are the only 3 boxes checked and therefore "Aberration of Corrections / chromatic lens" is not checked.

The preset apply lens profile correction successfully when I use it in the develop module. However, when I use it on import, the 'remove the Chromatic Aberration' box ends up also being checked in the develop module lens Corrections Panel.

    Is this normal?

Can I just apply Lens Corrections profile without fixation of the Chromatic Aberration on import?

    Concerning

'Remove the Chromatic Aberration' is probably from your default development module settings. I don't know if it is the default value for the installation, but you can change it. You will need to do this for each camera model that you use:

    (1) open a raw file in the develop module and click on the Reset button at the bottom of the right panel area. This returns all your development settings to their default settings.

    (2) check or uncheck the option 'Remove the Chromatic Aberration' under correction lenses as you wish.

    (3) press and hold the ALT key and then click on the button Reset, which should now say "Set Default".

    (4) in the pop-up, click "Update to current settings".

  • Profile of correction does not account for Sony brand

Profile correction automatically recognizes some make Hasselblad. My pictures are taken with Sony Nex - 5R. If I manually select "Sony E' that make LR recognizes the lens properly. Is it possible to fix this or is it a bug? Found a topic on the forum of the year 2007, but there is no solution (at least at the time).

    Thank you

I found a few examples of raw images NEX - 5R at PhotographyBlog.com and has tested them with PS - CC / ACR 8.4.1.

There is a purpose built, but only for Chromatic Aberration profile, so the external profile that you see when you select Sony E to do may indeed be correct, but so is the profile of Hasselblad, because it gives a nearly identical correction, with slightly more vignetting correction flashes in the corners, even if in the example below there is the flash fall It is difficult to say which version of the correction of vignetting is more correct.

Hasselblad detected using Auto as the correction of the goal of installation, as well as the ToolTip describing the embedded profile:

Profile of Sony E detected using as the default setup of the lens correction after having been defined as default profile:

The raw image came from here:

    http://www.PhotographyBlog.com/reviews/sony_nex_5r_review/sample_images/

So my interpretation of the behavior of LR, based on this one objective I found samples with Hasselblad profiles are correct for your camera, but if you set the Sony E profiles using the default lens profile process, described above, the corrections will be also correct.  Without knowing if Sony made Hasselblad lenses or Hasselblad makes Sony E lenses, and without knowing if their electronics is the same, it is difficult to know if LR is something wrong to recognize the Sony E lenses like Hasselblad objectives.

Don't you see the same corrections for your lenses you opt for Hasselblad or Sony E?

  • Profile lens Corrections problem

I recently dug a Sigma 70-300 APO lens (supported in LR 5.3) that I have not used for some time and imported some photos taken with this lens in LR 5.3.

I have an import preset that a Lens profile verified Corrections. However, after importation, the lens correction is not applied - the 'allow the Correction profiles"box is checked, but under"Lens Profile"'Make' it shows just 'None '. If I manually select Sigma in the box ' Do ' the good lens is then applied to the boxes 'Model' and 'profile '.

As I said, the lens is supported and shows herself to be taken care of after I chose to do.

I tried to screw up the "Préférences" folder

Can anyone throw any light on this? It's kinda a drag to have to manually select something that should be automatic.

    Hi KevetS,

Unfortunately, choice of automatic objective profile does not always work with lenses non - OEM (it has to do with poorly matched metadata).  On the plus side, we anticipated this and provided a way in Lr to customize your default lens profile settings so that you must manually switch the selection process of profile for each of your images.  Here's what you do:

    1. open an image taken with the lens.

    2. go in the goal to develop Correction, then select Activate profile Corrections.

    3. choose the manufacturer suitable for the lens in the popup to Make (Sigma in this case). LR will try to automatically find the correct profile now.

    4. If Lr cannot find the right profile automatically after step 3, then choose the appropriate model for the lens in the popup of model and the desired the profile popup profile (it looks that you need not do so in this case).

    5. choose Set new lens profile by default from the context menu.

In the future, newly imported images taken with this lens should automatically get matched with the right profile. In this way, that you don't have to go through manual selection. Basically you are "teacher" Lr what metadata (ID information) is your goal, using an example image.

You can repeat these steps for each lens that has this problem.

  • Using the profile of windows7 on Ubuntu12.04

I try to use my firefox on Windows7 in Ubuntu12.04 profile (installed with Wubi). I created a new profile and pointed at the correct profile folder, but I get the message:

Firefox is unable to use the profile because it is in use.

I tried to change only files containing passwords and cookies. No change. the old profile in Ubuntu works very well. Also checked the profiles.ini. Also tried it on Ubuntu in VirtualBox.

    Thank you.

It is preferable not to use the same profile with different operating systems, because the paths of files that are used in some files are not compatible.

Also, Ubuntu might not able to lock the profile correctly (Windows and Linux use a different method and files).

The current versions of Firefox is no longer delete the lock file to make it possible detect start failures by looking at the timestamp.

You can try using the links hard or soft links to specific files (sqlite databases and a few other folders).

See these pages for a description of the files.
