Profiles & data synchronized

Hello world

Without creating profiles (using the default) data synchronization just works perfect, thanks to mozilla. But I wonder what happens if we create several profiles. Imagine that you have 2 profiles, without any add-ons and another with some add-ons, or something like that.

I'm afraid, but I tried not by myself, because I'm afraid of losing my data.

Thanks in advance!

So it looks like someone didn't try that before, so I just connected to my account of Firefox in Firefox Dev edition & FDE used separate profile because nothing bad happens during synchronization of the data, so looks like the data synchronization & using several profiles are friends!

  • How do I change folder where profile data is stored?

We have limited storage space in our Documents and Settings folder on our work computers and maintains overflow.

If I change where profile data automatically, this will solve the problem.

I'm not sure that you can change the location of an existing profile, but you can create a new profile and set the location. (I assume that you can copy your existing profile to the new location to preserve your profile as well-specific information). See https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles

  • How to remove multiple Firefox beta 4 under Program Files folders. Just delete? Profile data appear to be under Beta 12 and 8 Beta for example.

    Currently under Firefox 4.0.1.
under Program Files, there are the following folders:

    Mozilla Firefox
    Mozilla Firefox 4.0 Beta 7
    Mozilla Firefox 4.0 Beta 8
    Mozilla Firefox 4.0 Beta 12

The first two have only 2 records each (extensions and plugins)
the other two have a lot of folders, files .dll etc.

Profile data is stored elsewhere, you can remove the old records of installation of Firefox if you wish.

For info on Windows 7, profile folders are located here - default C:\Users\ < windows user name > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

  • I want to move the profile data and the addons on another disk

I want to move the profile data and the addons on another disk.

Can I specify where Firefox puts the profile and the addons?

If another location, then Windows uses by default.
    c:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

    WinXP, FF 3.6.8

You can do this by using the Profile Manager. When you create a new profile, you can specify a location for the profile folder.

You may create a new profile, and then transfer the data to it. For more information, see create a new profile for Firefox on Windows and transferring data to a new profile.

  • How to save profiling data?

I would like to save profiling data. The documentation states:

    1. Select the application in the profile view.
    2. open the drop-down list in the profile view, and select Save.

My problem is that I can't seem to locate this combo... I've probably got to be overlooking something... someone wants to give me some additional information?

EDIT: it's for the latest beta version of Flex Builder 3

    Hi wouter vdb.
You can access the drop-down list on the toolbar of the Profiler, there is a little white down the arrow to the right of the Finish button.
When you click on this button, a menu opens and the registration option is available.
    I hope this helps.

  • Had to reload operating system and applications data, now can't get firefox to recognize the profile data

My C drive (disk solid state drive), which held my operating system and data from the app crashed. I had it replaced, updated Win 7 to win 10 and have downloaded Firefox. I was able to restore my profile from a Mozy backup data and copied in the Firefox folder. But Firefox resolutely refuses to recognize. I tried using the recovery data from an old profile, but no advantage help page. Tried to use the Manager profile, but without success. When I go to Troubleshooting Information and click on file/Show profile, it comes up with a list of files (files starting with bookmarkbackups, which however is empty, down for webapps, which has the file inside webapps.json), then the files from addons.json down through xulstore.json and the file places.sqlite is 10 240 KB Although there is something in there, but Firefox resolutely refuses to acknowledge my profile, bookmarks, etc..

I'm out of options and ripping my hair out trying to get all my favorites, in which I have a lot of information such as the authentication of data for many favorite sites. It is frustrating that all the information seems to be there, but Firefox ignore all.

    Can anyone help?

Such a backup is perhaps a ZIP archive containing all the files into it if it is not a real file, but only one file.

Note is that you replace the file places.sqlite with a copy of the backup that you have to make sure to remove existing places.sqlite - shm and temporary files to SQLite places.sqlite - wal.
Ditto for the other SQLite files that you are restoring.

Have you checked the application.ini file in the backup?

  • Reset my password clears the data synchronized out of a mobile phone?

After having to replace my hard drive and restore my computer from a backup, it seems that I forgot what was my password synchronization. All the data that I care (passwords, history) is always synchronized on my cell phone. If I go ahead and reset my password, you can these data then sync to my computer from the mobile phone, or is deleted on the phone?

Change your synchronization password wipe your data from the servers to synchronize, but not other devices.

  • Format HARD drive - registered profile data, but could not import - how do to manually?

So I did a little research, and it seems that I should just be able to copy the files 'key3db' and 'signons.sqlite' of the saved profile in my windows.old folder but when I do this password manager is displayed in white.

Looking https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recovering-important-data-from-an-old-profile?esab=a & as = aaq there is also reference to a file "logins.json" that I have in my FireFox profile is newly created, but does not exist in my older profile.

Instead, my old profile has "signons3" (file type is not displayed).

I tried to just copy the files key3db and signons.sqlite through, but the password manager appears in white.

This is a not invite me to import data from an old profile.

But it gave me an idea. I copied the entire folder as suggested. I then did a search in windows.old for key3, locate my previous profile.

I deleted everything in the new profile, I tried to import the old data in and copy all the folders and files from my old profile, located in windows.old in the 'current' profile

Worked and now I have access to all my old connections.

  • How can I restore my old profile data for the reinstalled firefox

had a problem with the opening of firefox and he suggested that I install a new version, I did and I have an "old data firefox" file. My question is how can I reinstall the old file and all the stuff that's about it.

A 'Old Firefox Data' folder on the desktop is created when you reset Firefox.

You should be able to copy the data selected from this folder to the current Firefox profile folder.

For bookmarks that you would need to file places.sqlite or possibly restore bookmarks from a JSON backup in the folder bookmarkbackups.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

  • Replacement of the main computer, don't want to lose all the data synchronized.

I use Firefox Sync with multiple devices at work and at home. My main computer, which is the original pc all data from first and I use to add new devices, is my work laptop. I'm being transferred across the country and no longer have this laptop.

I need somehow put up my home pc or my new laptop to work as the new main computer, but I don't want to lose all data. Should I export all the data from the laptop the existing work and import it on the new pc, then installed Sync all over again on my other devices (Mercury browser for iphone and ipad)? Or is there an easier way to do it?

    Thank you
    Jake

Hello, first of all please create a backup of your profile of your work pc folder, so that you have your data available in all cases: back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox

I do not think that there is something like a 'primary' feature in your accounts sync - all devices need to be at the height, you can simply delete your old laptop to sync & add the new laptop to the account:
Go to firefox > options > tab sync on your old laptop. Please make sure you as your user name, password of the account and the recovery key is known to you (you can access the recovery key under 'manage accounts' "-write it down if you haven't done so already '), then click on separate device in the Synchronize tab.

You can then add your new laptop to work on behalf of sync existing either by coupling a device while you're close to your pc at home or with your user account, password and recovery key.

  • Java error - change profile data collection scheduled

    Hello community!

I am a new user of the NMP and trying to download data from my CSP collector on the smartservices portal.  I get a java error on two different computers with different versions of java (7u40, 8u71).  Anyone seen elsewhere and know a fix?  My CSP is 2.5 v.

I get the following error when I try to save the changes to the profile collection by default (the schedule).

Please let me know if you need more details and thank you for your time.

    Hi Jarrod,

SSH on the manifold and run the command "sudo service epsc restart" and then reconnect and try again. Looks like that the service may be suspended.

  • data synchronized and merged from all of the added devices?

Is the first device I sighn in too the device main leader of all computers that will get the data? or they all merge together?
I mean, I have two computers, a netbook and a laptop.
The laptop is one that has all the correct addons and preferences and bookmarks, I just need things to sync on the netbook.
    Thank you:

The data of all connected devices will merge on the server and will be distributed to all necessary devices.

  • Why is the data synchronized out of phase

I'm trying to sync my calendar with a NEITHER-9237 and a NOR-9244 in a C chassis - daq 9178. When I'm not synce synchronization using BD1 (block diagram) it produces this Chart1 XY (data in phase I research). However, to change the data to synchronize acquisition BD2 (block diagram) it produces this Graph2 XY (not the same XY data figure 1).

All the information to fix this error would be appreciated.

Just answer for the most recent message - no time now to carefully dissect any advance information.

First and it of quite a nonfunctional nitpick, but would it not less confusing to put the

initials HAVE config calls * Sub * the encoder configuration calls so that you would not have to cross the streams?

Secondly, it seems that youv'e ' e configured your task of coder to make its sampling based on the

«"" "Sample clock of IT.»»»"  Good so far.

The call to perform Nulling incur the subsystem HAVE.  I'm assuming that it uses your

other settings for config task (for example, the sampling frequency) in the process, so you start generating

Sample of AI clocks implicitly generating in turn encoder samples.

Sides are the Nulling operation will then stop the sample clock when it's done - it's the

normal behavior for automatic start-up operations DAQmx.  So here's what * I * will try:

Perform removal * before * starting the encoder task so that the task of the encoder collect

samples while you null your bridge.  As a precaution, call DAQmx Stop for your task to HAVE

just after deletion.  * Then * start your task of encoder, and then finally (re) start your HAVE

    task.
