  I use Skype on a new laptop computer. It is freshly downloaded.

  All time / time zones are bad for my contacts. When I see their time, it's a mistake, but on their computer, the time is displayed correctly. ALSO - it is not an internal problem with their Skype settings; they have all time settings correct on both their computers and their profiles of Skype.

  More than this, my timezone is correct on the profile settings of my PC and Skype - except my contacts see also the wrong time zone displayed on my profile. (they see 01:00 instead of 04:00).

  This is clearly a problem with my Skype since I seem to be the only person having problems with the time displayed.

  Good so I undownloaded and redownloaded Skype. Then I changed my timezone different computer then changed to the correct time zone and time.

  That seems to have fixed the display of the time everyone: they're all right now.

  But as for me, people are always telling me that my time is not displayed correctly.

  I went to my settings and profile for a reason-Skype keeps changing my type of weather to "Unspecified" (although the time is correct). Whenever I have change to "My Computer" I go back to the settings and it's back to "unspecified". What place?

  You can use the Profile Manager to separate profiles of browsers. Everything works very well.

  The warning on the article use the Profile Manager to create and delete profiles of Firefox is probably for several reasons:

  • The Profile Manager can be confusing finding a way access and use
  • It is mainly used as a troubleshooting step and the user interface so that it could go away or change to the future of Firefox version.
  • It is easy for less experienced users to do dangerous things like stuck in a new profile, or accidentally delete the default profile.

  But I don't see how using Firefox profiles offer an advantage over Windows user accounts. There is no real password protection, anyone can delete / see / use other profiles, and the user interface is poor.

  That being said, many people use profiles to manage different versions of Firefox without problems.

  If you mean what graphics card is inside you can check this in the Device Manager.

  This is typical of a corrupted profile.  To recover, perform the following steps:

  The feature to create the hardware profile has been removed in Windows Vista and was not added to Windows 7 as well however you can check the link below which could be a workaround to troubleshoot newly installed services.

  Hi, I recently installed a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium. Recently, I tried to share files on a network computer to computer without router. I ran into problems with this, however, because Windows will just recognized here a network not identified, set its profile to the public and turn off sharing. I am aware that the default profile is editable through the local security policy editor, but being on the House, I am unable to access it, so my question is this:

  1. Click Start, type Regedit

  2. find hklm:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

  3. find your network card adapter and create a dword value named "* NdisDeviceType" and change the value between 0 and 1 and enable/disable network cards.

  You can also try this:

  1. the Registry Editor open, if you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

  2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ {GUID}

  This registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the card network that is connected to the network.

  3. on the Edit menu, point to new, and then click DWORD (32-bit) value.

  My English is bad.

  I have Windows 7-64, PC, intel AMD i5, 12 G of Ram, graphics card gpu Nvidia quadro K600, X-Rite DisplayPro, i1Profilor software calibration device vs. 1.5.4.

  Color management Panel, tab device, verified my settings for this device box, use Windows display calibration boxing verified and gry as she is meant to be etc.

  Work in my user acount everthing was fine until suddenly, when I need to use a new profile for my monitor in my session and want to set as default for this device profile by clicking on the button, I get the message "incorrect parameter". With the button Add, I add a profile already installed by windows, for example sRGB together IEC61996 - 2.1 and tryto it by default with the button "use as default profile for this device", the same message. The only way to assign a default is to delete the real profile designated as default color management system to the next on the list "by default".

  If I change to a different user on the same PC account, everything works fine for this user, but not on mine. When I click on the button "set default profile" is OK.

  I'm trying to uninstall i1profiler and X-Rite and reinstall, twice, nothing has changed.

  I tried to chat with a technician for microsoft, and he only referred me to the help on profiling and Calibration page help in microsoft. I know this page by heart and there is no response he solve my problem. He didn't know what to do!

  I understand that the account on which you are facing problem is account owner who has administrator privileges. So I suggest to create a new administrator user account and check the status.

  This is a diagnostic stage, if everything works well in the new user profile it means there is a corruption in the profile owner.

• How can BBM, I recover my profile history, contacts and BBM chat after the migration to a new phone? (8900 to 9810)

  I just migrated to a Curve 8900 to a Torch 9810 using "swap devices" of BlackBerry Desktop Software, do a full backup first. Most of the things moved very well, but I lost everything of the BBM. No profile, no contact and no chat history. I tried to restore from backup 2 or 3 times, and he repeats to me the data has been correctly transferred, but there is still nothing. (I still just on the old phone, and I have copies of all the old .csv chat on the media card and my PC).

  I just pass 8.0.0.94 to 8.1.0.20 on the device and then reset new BBM and now everything is fixed. All the missing contacts I had on the old device have been added, and all the old files of chat logs that got copied when I migrated are now visible in the application. Not sure if the client-side or server-side, but in any case, it's fixed now.
