Question of Save as default profile for this monitor

Hello

My English is bad.

I have Windows 7-64, PC, intel AMD i5, 12 G of Ram, graphics card gpu Nvidia quadro K600, X-Rite DisplayPro, i1Profilor software calibration device vs. 1.5.4.

Color management Panel, tab device, verified my settings for this device box, use Windows display calibration boxing verified and gry as she is meant to be etc.

Work in my user acount everthing was fine until suddenly, when I need to use a new profile for my monitor in my session and want to set as default for this device profile by clicking on the button, I get the message "incorrect parameter". With the button Add, I add a profile already installed by windows, for example sRGB together IEC61996 - 2.1 and tryto it by default with the button "use as default profile for this device", the same message. The only way to assign a default is to delete the real profile designated as default color management system to the next on the list "by default".

If I change to a different user on the same PC account, everything works fine for this user, but not on mine. When I click on the button "set default profile" is OK.

I'm trying to uninstall i1profiler and X-Rite and reinstall, twice, nothing has changed.

I tried to chat with a technician for microsoft, and he only referred me to the help on profiling and Calibration page help in microsoft. I know this page by heart and there is no response he solve my problem. He didn't know what to do!

Any help?

Hello curves,

Please keep us informed about the issue.

I understand that the account on which you are facing problem is account owner who has administrator privileges. So I suggest to create a new administrator user account and check the status.

This is a diagnostic stage, if everything works well in the new user profile it means there is a corruption in the profile owner.

You can also visit the below mentioned link and check if it helps.

Change color management settings

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

Thank you.

  • Win7 always tries to connect by using the default profile for the Native WIFI

Win7 always tries to connect by using the default profile for the Native WIFI
I defined a new WIFI profile for my home WIFI network. I use a USB of NETGEAR WNA1100 adapter. The profile is configured to connect automatically. I also moved over the default profile for the Native WIFI. Win7 always tries to connect to the default Native WIFI profile and not the profile that I created. Also, when I restart Win7, the default profile for the native WIFI moves to the top of the Profiles list. Also, when I try to change the default Native WIFI profile to use security WPA2 - PSK (AES) instead of WEP, it allows me to make changes, but he comes back to WEP after it treats changes and attempts to connect to the network. How can I fix so that Win7 will use my profile to connect to my home WIFI network and not the Native WIFI as the default profile. Win7 still connect using the default profile of NativeWIFI despite installing a different profile in Control Panel 'Wireless Networks '. I know that I can edit this profile by default, but anyone know how tell Win7 to use a different profile than the default? I tried to change the positions of the profile so that I want to use is facing up, but no, still uses the default. If I try to remove it, it comes back.
After removing the two profiles and adding the profile for my home network, Win7 automatically added the default profile for the return NativeWIFI. My profile is configured to automatically connect to the network using WPA2 - PSK (AES) security and the default profile for the NativeWIFI (use WEP security) is the Win7 Setup to manually connect. Also, Win7 puts the default profile for the NativeWIFI above my profile. Also, when I delete the profile by default the NativeWIFI, Win7 it always puts back and he goes over my profile. This is starting to resemble the Win7 manage wireless mechanism for allowing users to add and prioritize the profiles of school boards does not work. Here's another thing that happens: when I try to change the security for the profile default of NativeWIFI to WPA2 - PSK (AES) of WEP, Win7 allows me to make changes, but it is up to the WEP after it processes the changes and tries to connect to the network. This seems too much for me, it's a problem with Win7. If I could do this job, so I need not to set up a second profile.
The adapter I use a NETGEAR WNA1100 works correctly and I use it without any problem. I have is with Win7 and the interface to 'manage wireless networks '. It will not honor the fact that the WIFI profile that I created for my home network must be connected to automatically I installed. He always wants to connect to the default profile NativeWIFI even if I set up my home network profile to connect automatically. I can do a manual connection for my home network without problem. It seems to me that it is a question of Win7.
    Kind regards
    QRP

Thank you very much - Netgear seems to have finally accepted as the default network!  If all goes well it will stay like this

  • Change the default profile for networks not identified in the register.

Hi, I recently installed a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium. Recently, I tried to share files on a network computer to computer without router. I ran into problems with this, however, because Windows will just recognized here a network not identified, set its profile to the public and turn off sharing. I am aware that the default profile is editable through the local security policy editor, but being on the House, I am unable to access it, so my question is this:

Is there a way to change settings of network profile for networks unidentified somehow outside the local security policy editor? (via the registry)?

    Hi Konaa,

    1. Click Start, type Regedit

    2. find hklm:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

    3. find your network card adapter and create a dword value named "* NdisDeviceType" and change the value between 0 and 1 and enable/disable network cards.

    You can also try this:

    1. the Registry Editor open, if you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ {GUID}

This registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the card network that is connected to the network.

    3. on the Edit menu, point to new, and then click DWORD (32-bit) value.

    4. in the new area #1, type DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle and press ENTER.

DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle click 5.right, and then click on edit.

    6. in the value data box, type 1 and then click OK.

    7. close the registry editor.

Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

  • How to create a default profile for all users of a computer under Windows 7/Vista for Firefox versions greater than 8? I would that all new users on a computer to get the same values by default, homepage, bookmarks, etc...

I found some help on older versions of Firefox, but I can't seem to find anything for the latest versions greater than 8. There must be a way to do this for imaging large scale.

Have you created a defaults\profile in the folder of the program Firefox (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\)?

All files in this folder will be moved into each newly created profile folder.

To give the prefs a default, it is best to do this via a mozilla.cfg file.

Use a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder to lock the prefs or specify default values.

Place a local file - settings.js in the defaults\pref folder where you will also find the channel - prefs.js to specify using mozilla.cfg file.

    pref("general.config.filename", "mozilla.cfg");
    pref("general.config.obscure_value", 0); // use this to disable the byte-shift

    See:

You can use these functions in mozilla.cfg:

defaultPref(); // set new default value
pref(); // set pref, but allow changes in current session
lockPref(); // lock pref, disallow changes

I run a computer lab and am looking for a way to create a default profile in Firefox 9 that allows new users. I want them to be able to launch Firefox for the first time and see my home page. I want to disable any control for default browsers, firstrun pages or all the other guests.

The former for group policy .adm files did not work longer.

    See http://www.frontmotion.com/Firefox/howtodeploy.htm

You can create a defaults\profile file in the Firefox program folder and place the files that it be used to create and initialize a new profile.

  • Windows 7 crashes my profile, leaving me with the "default" profile. Even if I wipe my laptop and re-install.

    Hello

First: I have two identical laptops purchased from Dell with the same hardware configuration - both delivered with Vista. I upgraded to W7 as soon as possible, and since then, one of the laptops does not load my profile several times.

I use to work as a system administrator, so of course, at the beginning, I didn't much attention to the mistake thinking it was just an incident. I formatted the computer, reinstall W7 and, of course, the error occurred again - constantly even if I wiped it and re-install.

What is happening is that the computer starts, I connect Windows crashes for the moment very loong and then all of a sudden he says "preparing your desktop". When that happens I know its load under the 'default user profile', it's 'welcome '.

This error occurs about two to three times in about 7 days. But not all the time - it's like periods. I usually get through this by organizing the closure for 4 seconds, restart, and then, if I'm lucky, gets through my office.

A few times that I had no chance - restart of 6 times in a row without luck somehow shows that the profile files are really damaged, and then I created a new migration profile all my old files. This process takes time - not simply copy my files but also the settings of my program.

Last week, I deleted my user just to create a new one-8 it recharges without success.

I looked in eventvwr.msc and found that everything begins with six fouls in a row. I don't really know what do - the error log says error but it seems not very well describe it.

    It goes like:

I don't know what it is. I can only say that reinstall W7 does not help. And lately, after creating the new profile, W7 began to start the default new desktop computer.

So my question is: can I fix? If its not repairable can at least save files like ntuser.dat to crush the ntuser.dat file damaged W7 start sleeping?

Software properly written (as opposed to malware, viruses, and poorly written stuff) has similarly on day 1 after installation on 30 days. So you can go ahead with your driver and software installation as fast as you want, as long as you create a new file image at strategic points and keep notes dates when you installed this component.

Given your experience, you will need to proceed cautiously with the automatic updates. First disable them, and then put the installation in Manual Mode so that you can install in small batches, again take notes.

If you use Acronis image to create images, then you will need only half of space compared to the native tool. And if divide you your drive and put your personal files on the D: drive then you will not lose them during a restoration of the image.

Be sure to keep your Windows Firewall active at all times and use a router. Make an Internet connection without a router (which is a hardware firewall) request in trouble. If you use a wireless network, make sure you use a WEP or WPA or MAC address screening encoding.

  • Default profile

Hello, I'm working on the set up a small laboratory for a school and I would like some advice or suggestions. First of all, I noticed applications such as office and settings are stored in general not. BTW, I'm going to us using floating desktop non-persistent. I noticed that when I log in the variable Office some request of initials such as Microsoft office applications, etc. Office actually ask you to re-register because it detects that it is on another machine. I wonder if everyone is using view as such, and if they could give some tips or best practices. I'm also looking for a way to disconnect the user if idle for a certain period of time, and after a game fixed time if users not machines of pork. I think I could probably create a task, or something for this, any advice on what part is appreciated as well. Thank you

I work with a fairly large deployment of VDI desktops for a school district and we have a lot of applications that need removal of the "first release" dialogues and license agreements.  Solutions for these can be different for each piece of software.  I remove the first dialogue running MS Office via Group Policy.  Get the ADM or ADMX file for your version of Office and import it into your GPOS and then use the appropriate setting to remove dialogue.  If for any reason you don't not want to use Group Policy to control these things (don't know why you wouldn't), you will still find that the registry key is associated with the policy setting and change the default profile for relative image or something.

As for your activation problems, my advice is to just start searching the Internet.  There will be many people faced with the same question.  We use a KMS server, so it manages activation for me.  Here is a link to help you get started, which can help...

Office 2010 were not turned on after sysprep in VDI

For the automatic disconnection after a period of inactivity...

I actually did this thing just now with AutoIt script.  If you are not familiar with AutoIt, I suggest you check out it.  Tasks of scripts like this is very easy.  If you get it, download it the main package of AutoIt, then also the SciTE editor and tools.  They are all available on their main website.  You can use the _Timer_GetIdleTime() to track how long the user is inactive.  I tried to find my script to give you an example, but I can't find right now.  There may be an easier way, but I just create a small script and has placed as a startup item.  It would automatically disconnect the user after reaching a certain time of inactivity as.

  • Is there a default value for NC_ATTRIB_BKD_PERIOD

I got a project and the value of NC_ATTRIB_BKD_PERIOD has been set to 10. I changed this value to 1 (I guess that's milliseconds) and the software runs much faster save about 20 seconds on a second test period formerly 60. I have used NEITHER CAN before and have never encountered this before setting and I was wondering if there is a default setting for this and if yes, what is it?

    Hi John,.

If you look at the nican.h, you can see that the NC_ATTRIB_BKD_PERIOD is the legacy version of the NC_ATTR_PERIOD attribute.  (I say "If you look", but it is not really clear just looking at...) The NC_ATTR_PERIOD is documented as follows in the manual NI-CAN

    NC_ATTR_PERIOD (period)
Duration specifies the rate of periodic behavior in milliseconds.
The behavior depends on the Type of Communication as follows:
    NC_CAN_COMM_RX_BY_CALL
Duration specifies a minimum interval between the
transmissions. Even if ncWrite is called very often, executives
are transmitted over the network at a rate no more period.
Definition of period to zero disables the minimum interval timer.
    NC_CAN_COMM_RX_PERIODIC
    NC_CAN_COMM_RX_UNSOL
Time specifies the time between subsequent transmissions.
and must have the value greater than zero.
    NC_CAN_COMM_TX_BY_CALL
    NC_CAN_COMM_TX_PERIODIC
    NC_CAN_COMM_TX_RESP_ONLY
Period specifies a timeout of watchdog. If an image is not received
at least once each period, a time-out error is returned. Setting
Period to zero disables the timer.
    NC_CAN_COMM_TX_WAVEFORM

If the change you made will have different effects depending on your mode of transmission.  In my view, the default value is 0, but maybe it's not valid if you change the mode of transmission.

Let me know if you need more information.  Have a great day.

  • Copy the user default profile problem profile

I am trying to copy a user profile to the default profile for all users who log on will have the same parameters as the user.
I used the built in tool copy of profile under System Properties > advanced > settings...
For all copies fine except some program registry keys still point to the original profile rather than the newly created on logon profile.  This seems to work without problems under XP but in Vista it fails every time.
Is there a new way to manage default profiles, that I don't know?

    Kleenex82,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

CopyProfile Specifies if the default user usually stored under C:\Users\Default profile is replaced with the profile of the currently logged in user. You can use this parameter to copy the settings of user profile in all user accounts created on the destination computer.

Use the following steps to define custom user profiles:

Connect you as the user whose profile you can customize (for example, the built-in Administrator account).

Customize the settings of the user profile of your choice.

    Set the CopyProfile to true.

Run the command sysprep / generalize to copy the custom default user profile user profile settings.

All subsequent user accounts created will have the customizations that you set. For more information about Sysprep, see the Sysprep technical reference in the Kit OPK (Windows OPK) user's Guide.

This setting does not copy the profile of the built-in Administrator, unless the built-in administrator is the currently logged-on user.
