Problem - DVD burned with Windows DVD maker not fianalize Amend will be will not play back on normal household players

After spending a considerable amount of time and money (on blank media) trying to produce a DVD that will play on my Panasonic player normal, that I gave up. If you Google this problem there are a lot of people out there with the same problem then why not can it be 'fixed' once and for all by SM.

I tried to burn a slideshow of photo from Windows Live Photo Gallery, but she is spit out the disc at the end of 98.8%. R DVD plays perfectly on the PC but not the standalone player.

I even tried to change the types of burners and media, but they all gave the same problem. The disc is not finalized.

I can burn the DVD with the third-party software and these play fine, even, if I use XP pro, all is well so it's down to Vista I'm afraid. I have the latest version of Vista sp1 and all the drivers etc are up to date.

In view of the foregoing can recommend a decent software that will burn DVD properly with Vista AND produce photo jpeg slide shows?

Thanks in advance for any help

  • Creating Windows DVD - burning is not the whole video

    Hello

Hoping someone may be able to provide me with assistance.

I added successfully 4 VTS_01 film of video files in a project using create DVD Windows, using windows Vista. I entered all the information and personalized menu to suit me. I then run the preview everything seems very well the film will play form beginning to end.

    Now hear is my problem.

When I burn the project to a disk, it will go through the movements of code and finally burn to the disc. Once it is finished burning, the disc is ejected.

I'm going to play in my DVD Player menus I have made show the 4 files ok and I play the movie. But he will play only the first 28 minutes of the film. I tried selecting other scenes that won't play in the menu of the scene and yet it just starts at the beginning and only run 28 minuets and start over.

I tried to use the DVD + RW 4.7 GB and DVD-R DL 8.5 GB think my film can now be too big once I added the menu, that's why I tried the 8.5 GB. The film was initially recorded on the DVD + RW 4.7 GB until I ran across Windows DVD Maker. The original plays very well.

There are no problems with the discs, burner or DVD play as I have tried several, also tested incentive.

Is there something I'm not directly in the program? Believe if the files are not compatible at all why would be him coming up in Windows DVD Maker and I would like to twick the menu and burn?

Hoping someone can help as my film is really great on the preview.

    Kind regards

    A

The duration of 88 minutes should not be too long for a

  • Creating Windows dvd will not burn dvd

My new computer has windows 7. I used the windows dvd creation when I had vista and it worked then. I burned my discs of recovery on this computer without problem. When coding is about 3.3%, it climbs to 24, then 99, and then I get the error message that an error has occurred when burning the dvd. According to the graph, I 16 minutes left space on the disk. I tried to use two different disks and that has not worked. I changed the write speed to slow down with no luck. I have disabled the video filter on the tab options. I don't know what else to try. I use DVD + R Philips discs. Are there other options in addition to try a different type of manufacturer or disc?

I tried to convert the original file of realplayer and the encoder said the file type was not supported I tried convert the wmv file, I created from the realplayer file using the WMV converter. I received the message: error corrupted the file once more. I guess that there is not much left to try unless it might help to use another program to download Internet video?

    1. What is the type of file that you burn in the disk?

    2. have you made changes on the computer recently?

    3. are you able to burn the disc using any third party CD or DVD burning software?

Once you get a message that the burning is complete, check the size of the free space and space used on the DVD.

For information about how to check the user-space and the free space, you need to right click on the DVD drive, and then click Properties.

Well, it seems that when you burn a CD or DVD, the disc is not finalized.

  • Help with creating Windows DVD longer is set to 16:9 but burn with 4:3

Hello, I have a problem with the windows dvd marker. I burned two DVD until now and they all have two aspect ratio of 4:3 i have changed to 16:9 in the menu options, but each time its only 4:3. I tried to look on google how to fix this and I discovered that passing the AVI to WMV file type will be slove the problem. so my question is would this cause really work that I don't have much time to waste because the creation of dvd takes a long time to burn the dvd and I don't want to end up with 4:3, this time? so, if some can help me that would be very nice.

    Hi Akshaypatel,

I suggest you follow the advice given by Mouneshwar R from the link below.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_vista-pictures/problems-burning-a-DVD/08ed2466-d74c-4719-9fdb-54dcc8607e80

  • creating Windows dvd burning only the aspect 4:3, even when set to 16:9 ratio.

Burns maker Windows dvd only the aspect ratio 4:3, even when the value 16:9.was ok in vista, but not the case in windows 7 too movie maker in windows 7 is garbage.this pure direct essential bundle is rubbish.why should set us up with that? I bet that there is no answer. tried to download older versions of movie maker work. but you get directed to this essential live bundle .any way this isn't the end of the world.as, I did a few dvd place pods...

Always the same question on 8 January 2015. Windows Movie Maker produces video files in 16 / 9, but Windows DVD Maker that requires to 4:3 when burning a DVD, regardless of the settings.

Again, I tried severale time and again on April 24, 2015, the ratio has to be 4:3!

Too bad because I like the creation of DVD menu.

I found the solution... very simple and it will work every time. before you burn the DVD with windows DVD creation, make sure you 'exit' your video to mpeg2 format, no matter what software you use to edit your videos, make sure you "output" your finished video in MPEG2 before burning with windows DVD maker

MPEG2 is a DVD format that windows DVD maker recognizes and so it will burn your video ratio 16.9 this video will play on any DVD player. AVI WMV formats won't work even if you copy with movie maker then MPEG2... This is the key ~ MPEG2 ~ that's the secret.

Unfortunately, Movie Maker stores projects only as MPEG-4 (.mp4) or Windows Media Video (.wmv).

If your solution is another problem. We should convert mp4 or wmv in MPEG-2, how?

Why Windows has no simple and direct way to burn DVD screen wide ratio?
