  • You can change the icons in Windows Explorer?

I read some other Q & A on this topic. I never realized that an icon was so important. Anyway, nobody has asked this question specific (it seems), so: you can change the icons in Windows Explorer? I don't use the desktop icons.

The easiest way is to use 3rd party as IconPackager software.

  • Reposition the icon of Internet Explorer

In Windows 7, the IE icon is in the taskbar. In my other computer using Vista, this icon is on the desktop and pressing it evokes MSN.com, which is my home page. I would get this application to my office instead of starting from the taskbar. Hovering over the IE icon on the taskbar displays small representations of open pages, which can become confusing sometimes.

Is there a procedure to solve this problem? If I'm a working document and need to look for something that I lose what I'm working on back and forth from one page to another, from the icon in the taskbar displays only the pages that are already open. Thanks for your suggestions,

    dalem29,

To place the IE icon on the desktop, you can go to start-all programs, locate the icon of IE and right-click on the icon and choose send to desktop as shortcut. To delete the pages that open in Internet Explorer you can remove temporary files and history by following the steps in the link below.

I accidentally deleted the icon of internet explorer on my taskbar. I tried to restore my system to an earlier time, and then the icon appeared. But when I clicked it, a box pops up saying internet explore has been renamed, moved or deleted. Now, I can't figure out how to get this return of the icon and an icon that works. Please help me to find a way to restore or to add an internet icon explorer which works as if I had before. Thank you.

Detach the taskbar item. Open IE, right-click on its icon in the taskbar and select Pin this program to the taskbar.

  • Windows 7 desktop shortcut target changed to one of the programs that I installed on my computer

I have a Windows 7 computer, about 2 years.  My goals of desktop shortcut changed recently to one of the programs that I installed on my computer.  I can't go to programs and make a shortcut on my desktop which works.  They all change to 1 program I installed however is the appropriate program for the shortcut.  I can open all programs in Windows Explorer, so I know that the programs are there and they work.  For example, when trying to create a shortcut on my desktop to burn a DVD, the target of the shortcut change in this 1 program it is for a digital camera.  But I can access the DVD software via Explorer.  What can I do to fix this?  Thank you!

  • Cannot open programs using the icons on the desktop

    Hello

I just noticed that I can not access the internet directly by clicking on the icon. a window opens asking for me to choose the program I want to use to open IE.  He would then run the program but nothing happens and it goes in circles asking to select a program to open, run, etc.

Soon I noticed that clicking on other applications would result in an error message saying "Application not found".  I can't remove programs from my control panel because it is inaccessible, I can't open Microsoft Office programs directly unless I go to my computer.  I can't do a system recovery or restoration; the same messages will pop up. So basically, I can't make any changes to my desktop or access directly programs.  Help, please.

    Thank you

  • ID program in the icons

I just installed the latest Windows Update and now all my desktop icons show the program of 'openness' that they are. They all show the Adobe Air link in XlSX, JPG, PDF and DOC icons. I tried to change that with the the 'opens with' in the properties, but they change EVERYTHING to the new.

I already know which program opens what icon, I do not need to be reminded with an image that supports the icon of any sort that I don't see what it is.
How can I remove the program completely association?
All the icons to function properly.

  • Keyboard shortcuts have changed?

I copy relevant text from a pdf file to paste into a word as a written document and study aid. The shortcut keys don't work - they seem to have changed. Drop-down menus, for example, to find I have use should use Ctrl + G, because Ctrl + F takes me to the play Mode. Zoom I use Ctrl + C and the copy I use Ctrl + c. How to differentiate Big C and c little shortcut keys? I tried searching this problem, but to no avail. I looked through the preferences menu, but have not found anything. Anyone know how to fix this?

    Thank you very much.

You cannot change the keyboard shortcuts in the Acrobat family, so unless there is something very wrong with your computer they will be always the same:

    Find = Ctrl + F

    Ctrl + H = playback mode (think 'H' for 'head-up display')

    Copy = Ctrl + C

Paste = Ctrl + V (two values of the system-wide)

Zoom has a bunch of different missions, but 'Zoom' is Ctrl + Y

Technically, Ctrl + c and Ctrl + C are different, but it is normal to show the shift in the menus and documentation because it is easier to read, for example in lowercase L and number 1 appear to be almost identical in several fonts. When an explicit capital is required by the software it will always set the combination of keys like "Ctrl + Maj +..."

Do you mean that the menu items have changed, or the keystrokes are also different, or both? A screenshot of your menus will help you.

  • By clicking on the icon of Internet Explorer does not open that is to say, don't copy icon on the desktop. No other icon has this problem.

I had to repair Windows XP after the failure of my diet.  After you install the updates, the icon of IE on the desktop looks different (a kind of a blue thing behind him) and when I double click on it, it does not open the program, it copies the icon again on the desktop.  Double click the icon of any functioning normally by opening the associated program.

    Hello

    1. what happens when you try to perform the system restore?
2 What problem confined to the icons in the start menu or desktop?
Perform the steps provided in the article and Fixit:
When you run an .exe on a Windows 7 computer file, the file may start another program. In addition, the icon of the file .exe may not appear as expected.

You can also receive additional errors in the .exe file or the program that starts.
When you run an .exe on a Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 computer file, the file can start another program
