  • Mini-PEPITe creation Typedef would queue references

    Typedef of transfer would be given aid of queues used to be tedious if the typedef has changed and the transfer queue reference is passed between VI by using the controls. The tedious part was last updated all the controls for the ref of the queue because they are not related to the typedef of data transfers of queues. This nugget exaplains how to create a ref to the queue associated with a type definition.

    (1) file a queue to obtain

    (2) create, move, and wire a typedef of the data to be transferred from the queue.

    (3) pop - up on a trip to Quebec City and select 'create a control '.

    (4) find created control and pop-up to select Advanced > customize

    (5) in the editor control using the control palette > "select an order...". "and look for the step #2 typedef

    Note:
    (A) typed should be dropped on the pink boxes

    (B) the mobile dotted around the control of queue Ref confirms you are down in the correct location.

    (6) under the control of queue Ref a def type.

    If you look at your hierarchy, you will see that the typedef would queue Ref uses the type of the step #2 def.

    I hope this helps!

    Ben

    * It works but not in LV 7.1 LV 8.6. I don't know in which version the feature was introduced.

    Hello Ben,

    I tried to reproduce this in different versions (7.0, 7.1.1 and 8.6).  I get the same experience for all versions. I have the hierarchy window opens to see what is happening at each stage.

    I created a typedef would cluster. I created a new VI and used this cluster for the queue to get it.  I see that this group will be used by the VI. Creating the control queue Ref and aperture control editor, I see the control in the hierarchy window. In the window of the hierarchy, I right click on Ref queue control and select Show all the SubVIs and I see that the cluster typedef is used by queue Ref control. What change would be adding step 5 I left out?

  • point check queue and LRU list

    Mr President

    I do IE 9i WDP basic-1. OCA 9i.
    I do not get a clear view of the checkpoint queue and LRU list.t.My question is how LRU list and control point that work together?

    for this topic, I got to know (if I'm wrong please correct me) that the LRU list entry is made when a block is updated first. And when the block is updated and updates more he'll mainly used end of the LRU list. and the first gt update block placed in queue.check - point control queued point basically stores RBA(redo_bite_address).and its going to log.is all this interaction with the LRU and checkpoint queue? If so how RBA is generated?

    concerning

    I don't want to do a nit pick, but what you mentioned is not going to go to different locations.

    Hereby, you should mention that this point of control switch journal actually emits a Checkoint of wire that can be different in a CCR environment and is surely different from a Global checkpoint.

    Specifically, a control point copies the memory to the database server cache pages to the database hard disk file. The server made the copy in a coherent way; in other words, it copies only the results of committed transactions. The result is that all the data in the database file is data validated to run transactions. If the server goes down between the control points, the player will have a coherent and valid (although not necessarily up-to-date) snapshot of the data.
    >

    Completely wrong!

    Control points does not write everything on its own. To be precise, written to happen because of the recovery are trying to be optimized by oracle in these last two versions. Process Checkpoint fires just the DBWR to "check and write" If there is something to do. It is not copy anything to the memory for the data files and certainly committed or uncommitted data have nothing to do with the control points. If a buffer is dirty and we need to offer a space or control point event is the triggering of the buffer to get out for a list of writing, it is emptied anyway, regardless of who its committed or not. Your last line makes no sense to me where you said, "If the server goes down between the control points, the player will have a coherent and valid (although not necessarily up-to-date) snapshot of the data.'." What would happen in an instance crash would be the recovery instance.

    Between control points, the server writes transactions posted to a transaction log. If the server goes down, all transactions committed since the last control point can be recovered from the transaction log. After a crash of the system, the database will start to recovery of the transactions since the last checkpoint.

    Thank you to read what I said just above, recovery has nothing to do with the State of validation of the buffers.

  • Controlfile and Redo Log on a disk group

    Hello!

    Controlfile and Redo Log on a disk group - it's good or bad?

    You have the best practices or Doc ID on Metalink?

    918027 wrote:

    No, you do not have "must have".

    You have not yet 'must have' more than a control queue.
    You do not have 'must have' more than 2 redo log groups, and these groups don't 'must have', but one file each.

    This is the "must have".

    Now, it's something else.

    You "should" have a minimum of 2 files of control, and that they "should" (not "needs") be on separate disks.
    You "should" have at least 2 files of members in each group of redo log, and that they "should" (not "needs") be on separate disks.

    And FWIW, I see no reason to keep necessarily completely separate redo file control file. They key is to have versions multiplexed of a particular type, separated from their 'twin '.

  • Programatically change control to generate and event...

    I add some improvements of the user (anti-screw-it-up functions) to ensure the desired process are executed.

    First question: if I have handles by a change of value in a text control, an event (event occurs when you press enter or exit control with the mouse) the event will also occur if you leave the control by changing by programming the focus to another control?

    I'll try and put in place a vi temp to test this, but wanted to see if anyone had tried this and if it works or not.  My other option is to set up several instances of the event but I was hoping to use a single case to handle everything.

    A few details, I have a test system that tests a product automatically when the product is placed in a cradle and the cradle is put in position and active a prox sensor.  At the end of the test, the system waits for prox sensor turn off before resetting the system.

    If a device goes down, there are options to rework and the unit can be retested.  When it fails, a label prints defining failure modes and provides a number of failed series.  When the device is tested again, failing serial number is entered into a text control. I want the sequence of re - test (queued upward at the event) occur when 1, a failing serial number is entered or two a key (with mouse) I'm pretty sure by pressing a button would in turn automatically create the event of change of control of text so my button can no doubt be a fictitious button just for appearances.

    When the hole is if the user enters a serial No. failed and don't leave the command and then committed a pump to start the test.  Can I use a function of "empty access/string path ' but the control will continue to show empty as if nothing has been entered until you press the Enter key or the mouse is used to exit the control."

    If I can generate the event by changing the focus, then it will ensure that if you enter a failure s/n, the sequence of re - test occurs and if nothing exists in this domain, it performs a first test of time.

    A bit long-winded for sure, but any thoughts are appreciated.

    Can't really post a simple code that this feature is in my top level vi and I have a very large app justifying download.

    Doug

    Yes, change in focus is the same by clicking with the mouse outside the control.

  • HP 8500 of print jobs stuck in the queue, diagnostic control OK

    HP 8500 A909g connected by USB cable to the Windows 7 desktop. Everything was going well until Verizon gave me a new DSL modem/router after which all print jobs are stuck in the print queue. Printing/scanning doctor told me "printer not connected to the homegroup. Nothing I've tried fixed. Downloaded the recent HP patch for network HP printers in Win7. Complete with a mistake any but installed at the next computer startup and scanning and printing has worked very well. Since then, the print jobs again get hit in the print queue and scanner does not work. Has made clear the queue, stop/start the spooler and the computer restarted. Still no printing or scanning. Print/ASNA doctor says everything is OK. Upgrades of the pilot research suggests that I already have the best driver. Printer is checked OK in the control/material Panel, is checked by default, port is OK etc etc. Before uninstall/reinstall the printer with no guarantee that will solve this problem, can someone tell me what could be wrong and how to fix it? Please help as this is really frustrating. Thanks in advance.

    Hi abuonag,

    We need clean completely the previous attempts of software to get a good setup for this printer.

    Follow the steps below and let me know what happens?

    First step: clear temp directory

    1. Type %temp% term or search programs and files of field
    2. Select all the files in this folder, and then press the delete key to remove. If you receive a message that the file is in use, you will need to ignore this file (s).
    3. Proceed to step 2 below

    Second step: downloaded and extracted to your system:

    1 download the drivers and full software features

  • JMS uniform distributed Queue control unit, problem when a node crashes

    Hello
    I have the code according to which a post (with all of the control unit) to a line of uniform distribution in a cluster with two servers (Server1 and Server2) members.
    UDQ - addressing a subdeployment mapped to two servers JMS pointing to each of the Member servers
    -Factory connections using default targeting (I tried mapping them to deployment Sub too)

    serverContext javax.naming.InitialContext = new javax.naming.InitialContext ();
    javax.jms.QueueConnectionFactory qConnFactory = (javax.jms.QueueConnectionFactory) serverContext.lookup (jmsQConnFactoryName);
    javax.jms.QueueConnection qConn = (javax.jms.QueueConnection) qConnFactory.createConnection ();
    javax.jms.QueueSession qSession = qConn.createQueueSession (false, Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
    javax.jms.Queue q = (javax.jms.Queue) serverContext.lookup (jmsQName);
    weblogic.jms.extensions.WLMessageProducer qSender = qSession.createProducer (q) (weblogic.jms.extensions.WLMessageProducer);
    qSender.setUnitOfOrder ("MyUnitOfOrder");
    javax.jms.ObjectMessage message = qSession.createObjectMessage ();
    < String, Object > HashMap map = new HashMap < String, Object > ();
    Map.put ("something", "SomeObject" "");
    message.setObject (map);
    qSender.send (message);
    } catch (Exception e) {}
    }

    Steps followed:
    1 post a message of "Server1."
    2. the message picked up by "Server2."
    3. all fine
    4. stop "Server2."
    5 post a message of "Server1."
    6 ERROR: ' chopped format member of MyAppJMSModule! MyDistributedQ is MyAppJMSModule! MyJMSServer-2@MyDistributedQ who is not available.

    WebLogic version: 10.3.5

    Is there a way (except Path Service configuration) to operate "with control unit" for a UDQ, even if some Member servers go down this code?

    Thank you very much for your time.

    If you want to avoid using the Service path, then the alternative is to make members of highly available destination. This will help to ensure that the host for a particular Member PUA is in place.

    One approach to HA is to set up "service migration." For more information, see the white paper of the automatic Migration of Service to
    http://www.Oracle.com/technology/products/WebLogic/PDF/WebLogic-automatic-Service-Migration-whitepaper.PDF

    In addition, I recommend SEO best practices for JMS beginners and advanced users
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E17904_01/Web.1111/e13738/best_practice.htm#JMSAD455 to help WL configuration in general.

    Hope this helps,

  • Programatically register values of control only works with Ctrl Val.Get all (not recommended)

    Hello

    I just downloaded "programmatically save 86 vi of https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-3551 control values.

    This works.  In the recording, but there an invoke with Ctrl Val.Get All (deprectated) node structure of the event.  I thought that I would get rid of the obsolete reselecting the control method get all.  Of course it was more an (outdated) at the end and the top of the page, little changed from pink to yellow.  However when I run and load a file that is saved I get: error 116 took place to Unflatten chain... Possible reasons:

    LabVIEW: Unflatten or stream of bytes read operation was in pain due to corrupted, unexpected or truncated data.

    A few questions:

    If I were writing this thing without having to download the example it wouldn't work.  Any ideas how I would work in LabVIEW 2011?

    The example is quite old, people would use another method of loading and storage of the parameters in a VI these days?

    This VI crashes after a while.  Is it because he has two event Structures in a loop or because there is no case of timeout or what? (I am not really concerned about why it crashes but if someone knows the answer without wasting time running it I'd appreciate it)

    Thanks for the tips, things that I can draw from this

    The old ways worked with a data type that was {name, type descriptor, flattened data}. The use of new methods {name, variant}, to adapt the code to work with this data type. Also, you cannot use the old data with the new code files.

    I'm assuming that the VI is lock because you have two structures of event in a loop simple (it would make sense, since each structure must wait for an event is to occur), but I'm not the code itself, I can't be sure.

    With respect to the other options, I generally without saving all the controls on a front panel, but when I want to record a bunch of controls, I usually use something like this, which can also work if you collect all the controls of the FP. There are also links to other similar things in the more 'like this' section with the page.

  • Is it possible to control the number of items in queue reading

    Writing data in the queue follows the format of

    (Data length) + data block + (length of the data) + data + (length of the data) + data block

    When I read the data, need to read the length of the data first, then can read a block of data.

    Is there any function in the queue to do?

    Thank you

    You can only dequeue given in the same form as you queue them. So, if you line 3 data blocks at a time (in what form? String? Byte array?), you will only be able to extract all 3 at the same time blocks; later, you will need to analyze the data accordingly.

  • Control 2 while loop and a queue

    Hello Mr President

    I need handel while loopps as they run in order. I can use the structure of sequence, but the question is in my program, I also have one already queued. Please help me how I can handel this question

    Thank you

    You certainly want a State Machine. You can't do what you want using a sequence structure, as you said. If you need an architecture that can operate several different cases in a certain order, but also to repeat the States if necessary.

    The Computer of State Simple model that comes with LabVIEW is really the best way for new developers to become familiar with LabVIEW using a semi scalable architecture.

    Here is a large example of the works of a state machine:

    • States: Init, slowed down, exit, DoThing1, DoThing2, DoThing3
    • Each State contains code that could take some time. Ideally, not too long because this is how long your code might not meet.
    • The idle state contains a structure of event for all of the user interactions.
    • The front panel has a button that says "do the 1 thing.
    1. Loop iteration 0: Application starts, the first State is Init. Init State made the initialization stuff and tells the application to go to the idle state when finished.
    2. Iteration of the loop 1: request goes to the idle state. He's sitting there, waiting for the structure of the event.
    3. Time passes, and then the user presses the button 'do 1 thing ". There is no code or minimal code, within the occurrence of the event. The output of this state of the event tells the application to go to the State of DoThing1.
    4. Iteration of the loop 3: Application passes to the State of DoThing1. Here, there is code that does a few things. The output of DoThing1 State tells the application to return to the idle state.
    5. Iteration of the loop 4: Application goes to a State of rest where he waits again to the structure of the event.
    • Each State can tell the application to go to any State they want. You want to reset? Return to the Init State. You want to put an end to the program? Go to the exit State. You want each State to start another (such as a sequence)? Have DoThing1 out of DoThing2, which DoThing3, which outputs Idle.
  • How can I control whether or not an audio queues times at the start of a slide?

    I am putting together a course and I have an audio welcome that plays automatically when the user starts the course. Since this slide contains a list of the modules that will be ongoing, I would also like to the use it as a navigation option - click on the link 'Menu' on any slide and return to this page.

    The problem: whenever the page is hit the audio playback.

    The question: How can I set the audio to only run the first time the page is entered but not yet?

    I created a variable called "PlayWelcomeAudio" and set it on 'Y' at the beginning, can have an advanced action script that modifies the variable "N" when selected (progress throughout are linear, so there is only one option available to the user at this point.) By clicking on this link opens the next page and sets the "PlayWelcomeAudio" "N".

    I see that the variable has been set correctly (when I start it up is "O" and when I come back, it's "N"), but I don't see any place where I can put the audio file so it does not play.

    I tried setting on '1' cpCmndMute but that has not worked because it apparently is a global setting and I don't no audio playing anywhere after that.

    I don't have to pause the timeline or something like that. I just want the audio to play first, but not the second and the following page is hit.

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

    Thank you.

    Michael

    Set your audio welcome to an object that is not seen (e.g. a highlight area set to 0%) and use your stocks advanced and variable to HIDE this object ON SLIDE ENTER if the user comes back in the same Menu slide at a later stage in the course module.

    This should mean that the first time that the user gets to this slide, the audio will play.  But every subsequent hour, they come back on this slide, the object will be hidden immediately on entering the slide, which means that the audion does not play and sees all users are the menu options.

    Your alternative strategy would be to have two slides that look almost the same.  The first has the audio, and the other does not.  Your TOC for Menu item and all other links in the project that point to the Menu, go to the second slide without audio.  The user no longer wise will also be long as you train to navigation.

  • Failed to delete document of network print queue.

    We print to a HP LaserJet 5 using Windows XP.  2 positions are hanging in the print queue. Tried to remove Control Panel command several times and it shows just "deleting - printed" and "removal - print" in the State.  They have been here since yesterday, and we can not print around them. When I try to delete from the printer itself, it shows no jobs in the queue. I saw another post on the forum on this topic who advised to go to the print spooler, which I did, but then couldn't run the second half of the suggestion to go to the print jobs.  It is a network printer.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!   The problem was that I had to go to the file server to perform this function - my brain wasn't getting this fact.  It worked - thank you very much for your help.

  • Cannot clean up the queue and print the new document

    All of a sudden in trouble with my C6180 all-in-One. It didn't print a document remaining queues. Tried everything to clean up the queue. But nope. Document is in the list. Document status information: deletion. And never remove the ends. Right now my printer is not a printer. Can anyone help?

    Hello

    In Control Panel, open administrative tools and select abuse.  Scroll down to the print spooler service, right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button.  Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the tasks within this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

    Restart the computer and you should find that the documents have been deleted.

    Kind regards
