• Can I programmatically change the active group on a Hypertrend in DSC?

  I would like to know how to change the active group of a hypertrend program in Labview DSC.  I saw a link that says it can be done at Lookout.  But in the module DSC, the active group is read-only.

  I know a hard way to do it.  I could save the settings of hypertrend as xmlSettings in a temporary file.  The active group is one of the parameters.  I could then change the group active in this file text to point to the new group, and then reload the settings.  But this isn't a clean way of dong it.

  Anyone know if there is an easy way?

  I found a way to do it but not very clean.  I don't know why there is no function to change the current group.

  Here's how I did it.

  

• changes to browser.newtab.url about: config no longer work

  I tried the user - set the page to a new tab in everything: changing browser.newtab.url config

  I followed the suggestion of extensions to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1081409, but I have no extensions enabled. None of the other suggestions were relevant.

  41 of Firefox is no longer uses the browser.newtab.url setting in about: config because he was constantly attacked by malware. From 41 of Firefox, you need an add-on to change the new tab page.

  Here are a few options (I'm learning more all the time):

  • If you are already using the "Restorer of classic theme" or "Tab Mix Plus" extension: There is an option somewhere (!) in his dialogues of the parameters to select another page in the new tab.
  • If you want to use your new tab homepage: Try https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-homepage/
  • If you want to set another page or a completely blank page: Try https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-override/
  • If you want the cursor to move in a search box in the page: Try https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/custom-new-tab/

  Use only one of these methods at the same time, otherwise there may be conflicts and dysfunctions.

  Setting up substitute new tab and new tab custom

  After installing one of these extensions, you must use the Options page to set the new desired tab page (instead of use subject: config).

  Open the page modules using either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a (Mac: Cmd + shift + a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

  In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the side right, find the new tab replace or custom new tab and click on the Options button. (See first screenshot attached).

  New tab Override

  Depending on the size of your screen, you may need to scroll down to enter the address in the form. (See second screenshot attached). For example:

  • (Default) page thumbnails = > subject: newtab
  • Blank tab = > subject: empty
  • Built-in Firefox homepage = > topic: welcome
  • Any other page = > full URL of the page

  Then tab or click this form field and you can test using Ctrl + t.

  Custom new tab

  It is easy to enter your favourite homepage address. If you check either of the boxes, the expansion will set the focus in the page as well, for example, the cursor will be in the Google search box. (See third screenshot attached). I had to leave Firefox and start it up again before new custom tab started working, but this may have been due to tests so many extensions back to back.

• Using about: config, I can not change the browser.newtab.url string.

  It reads, http://search.conduit.com/?ctid=CT3301020 & octid = EB_ORIGINAL_CTID & SearchSource = 69 & CUI = & SSPV = EB_SSPV & Lay = 1 & UM = 2 & UP = SPCB20E22C-9AB3-4DEE-8734-2C360269F571.

  I tried to change it to google.com , but it will not change. The string above gives me a blank page powered by google.

  I did a scan special with Norton Internet Security, which has identified a number of things that he had to get 'fixed '. After getting things fixed, I was able to change the string of browser.newtab.url without any problem. So, no matter what the problem was before, it is now gone.

• When changing the "browser.newtab.url" is there a way to prevent the update address bar?

  When I change "browser.newtab.url" to about: home and open a new tab, focus is set on the address bar, not the search box on the home page of firefox. The same thing happens if I change the url to google.com or another search engine. Is it possible to avoid this.

  This has been fixed in version 14 and more.

  We seek to protect our handling of URL pages.  The protection of session state is enabled, and each page has page value «Arguments must have Checksum» access protection  However, the documentation seems to discuss in order to prevent the user from element values in the URL.  We want to prevent the user to change the page ID in the URL.  Currently, a user is able to hack the URL and take in the middle of a wizard process for example.  Is it possible to stop this?  Other that an element of creative previous train stop check.

  Affecting the security attribute Access Page Protection page No. URL Access and navigate between pages using the type of the Page Management Branch (uncheck the option creates a branch using redirection page in the Wizard) will avoid this:

  No URL access -Page can not be found using a URL, but the page can be the target of a type of Page Management Branch, is not doing a URL redirect.

  It is a little more restrictive that a normal direction of the session state values cannot be positioned or erased declaratively in the branch, but is not often necessary in a several step wizard, and it's pretty simple to work round using prior processes - or post-branche or by referencing the item values directly from other pages.

  What is the process OAM 11 g to move to a new instance of the database?
  OAM is going to be opposable to a temporary database as the database in the long term is not yet ready.
  
  My hypothesis is:
  The remote control allows to create a schema OAM in the new instance
  Migrate data from the old DB to new DB security strategy
  Reposition the JDBC parameters to the new instance
  
  1 is this correct basic approach
  2. is there a built-in way to migrate the data (May session thus migrated data?)
  
  I've only used OAM 10 g so I don't know anything about OAM 11g database.

  We made the change during production tec window and there is no need to worry about user sessions that users will need to re-login to some applications integrated with OAM again after the change. I did no verification data migration, but you do not have a good question. ExportPolicy migrates only policies. I would like to know if you find something on the audit data.

  When I look at a the database home page in my environment of 12 EM c, he says I am logged in as SYSTEM. On the pages of the advisors, he says since I'm not connected as SYSDBA so I can't change some settings. I can't understand how to change the connection to SYS. Seems like it should be easy... so maybe it's just me. How can I make this change?

  You can set/change the credentials that are preferred for the database to use the SYSDBA credentials.

  -Navigate to Configuration > Security > favorite of the credentials

  -Select the database Instance, and then click on manage credentials preferred

  -If the credentials of the normal database is defined (whether through default preferred credentials or credentials of prime targets) for the target in question, then disable the setting.

  -Favorite set of credentials by using the database SYSDBA credentials

  Can someone point me in the right direction with regard to the modification of the IOM database on 9.1.0.2 password?
  
  We have recently changed the password and I have updated the xlconfig.xml file and updated two XML files located in the area of the project using the method described in the article:

  I copied the generated output and edited the < encrypted password > node in the XML files.
  
  We run WebLogic 10.3.3, on database 10g, 9.1.0.2 BP14 installed.
  
  IOM starts up if we get a system error message, but a refresh brings to the top of the login page. After trying to identify the following error is recorded in our log files:
  ERROR, February 14, 2012 08:49:45, 138, [XELLERATE. WEBAPP], class/method: tcLogonAction/performance meets certain problems: error occurred when connecting - exception Code: DB_READ_FAILED

  I guess it has to do with the change of password, but I have changed all the files I know. Am I missing a step or missed a file? Is there a better way to change the password of database within WebLogic? The user interface does not allow because of the encryption, and I don't want to go out to clear the text.

  To change the database password, there are a few tasks to update.

  Within WebLogic, you'll want to update your JDBC resources with the new password on your two connections listed.

  So as you mentioned in the file xlconfig.xml, you will find the sections for the DirectDB. When the password is in, set it encrypted = false and provide the literal of your new password. Now when IOM begins, it will re - encrypt the xlconfig.xml file, so you can delete the one with plain text.

  You will get the URL.

  Please provide the details, how you tried to change the character set database and what character set.

  As indicated in MetaLink Note 260192.1 ("Changing WE8ISO8859P1 / WE8ISO8859P15 or WE8MSWIN1252 (AL32) UTF8'"), AL32UTF8 is not a binary superset of these character sets and therefore conversion includes import/export steps in case you have non-US7ASCII character data in your database.

  The MetaLink note explains how to make the change in detail, but I do not know if it is supported for 10g XE.

  If you can afford it, the easiest way is probably to create/install a new database 10g XE by using the Unicode character database, I think that option when installing 10 g XE.

  In Firefox 23, as part of an effort to simplify the Firefox options set and facilitate future improvements of Firefox, the option to hide the tab bar has been removed.

  Fortunately, this can easily be solved if you want the tabs to keep hidden. You can install "hide the tab with a tab bar", an extension hosted on the site of Mozilla Add - ons, which will restore the ability to hide the tab bar.

• Cannot change database encryption ACS password

I am setting up a device Cisco 1113 with ACS version 4 from the console and when I get to the part "Please enter the password for encryption... "configuration it gives me the error on the title with any password given, even the passwords that meet at least three to the complexity requirements.

  Any ideas?

  To recover the device connect to console and put in the device and reboot recovery cd, which should give you options for recovery.
