TouchSmart 610: Intermittent display blinks and turns off windows 10

updating Windows 10... Now the screen blinks intermittently every few seconds.

Hi ljshyman,

Mine at work - try it below:

1. go to Archbishop of task (Ctr + Alt + Delete)

then follow the below which has been posted by Nualama in another forum:

'Run new task'... type msconfig (Yes it's hard to type as screen flashes, but it can be done)... In the new box that opens (it may be behind the box of the Task Manager) go to the Service tab... Scroll down until you find 2 tasks that need to be stopped... (1) problem reports and Solution Control Panel Support... (2) service of Windows error report... Disable by unchecking... Click on apply... Click OK... If you are prompted to restart, then restart computer

Hope this works for you also.

  • Satellite P300 - 20 H refresh the screen every 10 minutes and turn off during 3 sec

    Hey,.

Basically, I bought my P300 Sat about a month previously and each time it runs, battery, the same error will occur...
It will update the screen every 10 minutes or more and turn off for 2-3 seconds.

This isn't a big problem, but it is annoying that I can not sort.
I tried to run a check of problem to find a solution, but he says that he can not find a.

    Help, please
    Thank you.

    Hello!

Can you please explain what you mean with refresh? And what exactly is happening?

It is not easy to say what the reason is for this, but have tested an external monitor on the laptop? And you can determine if it s a problem with the internal display or not.

In addition, you must make sure that you have installed the latest display driver and BIOS. The two you can find on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

If you installed a display driver Toshiba not you should remove it. These display drivers can often cause problems and don t have protection against overheating.

Hope someone out there can help you.
I was not able to use my A60-181 for awhile without being constantly plugged to electricity.
And it seems to warm up and turns off.

I bought a new battery, but I still get the same problem... and it is only 2 years old!
Someone has an idea of what I need to do?

In my view, this case is clear. It s a simple overheating. Usually the laptop stops automatically to prevent laptop damage material. Usually, this occurs if the laptop fans twist with speed and maximum performance.

The reason for this behavior could be a dust and debris inside the laptop. Especially after 2 years of work and aspiration, the dust has a bad influence on the rotation of the fan.

The module of cooling for computer laptop cleaning could help!
But if you have no experience of it please contact the technician. It is recommended to clean the fans professionally.

  • Equium A60: After BIOS update device will beep several times and turns off

    Hello

I downloaded the windows BIOS update for my Equium A60 (dated 11/15/05) and ran the executable by following the instructions, after ensuring that the current AC has been connected, etc.. The update has got a little more to halfway when the computer turns off suddenly.

Now when I try to turn back on it just a few beeps and turns off again. It seems to me that the BIOS is screwed. Is there anything I can do to get my machine to run?

    Thank you
    Phil

    Hi Phil,

Unfortunately, it seems that if the BIOS of your laptop is corrupted. Unfortunately, he didn't there has no easy way for you to correct yourself and you will need to take the phone to your nearest Toshiba Service agent who has the necessary specialized equipment to reflash your CMOS with a new BIOS chip.

  • Satellite A135-S4666 - cooling fan turns on and turns off every 20 seconds

    Hello

I'm from the Argentina... I just bought a new Satellite A135-S4666 and I noticed that the cooling fan turns on and turns off every 20 seconds.
It is a little annoying and it disctracts me of what I'm doing... is there a solution?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Martin,

This behavior is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. If you find the noise irritating cooling fans you are likely to change their behavior by using the utility of Toshiba power where you should be able to set the cooling mode to run more quietly. I think trhe default is to allow the CPU to run at full speed, which will, of course, the fans turn every few seconds, but by reducing the speed of the CPU, the heat produced will be lower and therefore the fans will run less often.

    Kind regards
