Project of smaller file sizes?

I opened a project in Premiere Pro CS6 in the CC again today.  He converted the project into the new format of the CC version.  I looked at the properties of the project file, and the CC project file was only 5% of the size of the CS6 project which he had been converted from.  Is this normal?  I'm all for the smaller sizes of the files, but I want to make sure that nothing is getting lost, or stored on a cloud server instead (in the case where I edit a project without internet access, which will happen soon.)  Please let me know if the CC project files are just inherently more small, or if something else is happening.  Thank you.

Mike H

OK, CC made many smaller projects!

  • Replacement of a few pages in my PDF is strangely small file size

    Hello!

I recently reviewed a document 400 printing pages by replacing 7 pages in the PDF file and it is the strangely smaller file size!

The original has been exported as a PDF of a book consisting of 61 files InDesign (184 MB) file.

The review was one more round about way-opening and export files individual InDesign 6 to the appropriate output settings and replacing 7 unique pages in the PDF file and save as a new version number (108 MB).

The reason for the series on how to change the project is because all files are stored on a server and it is easier to make simple changes while working remotely.

No idea what is causing the size of the file to be much smaller?

Thank you for taking the time!

Probably you have registered under a new name (SAVE AS) and before you used to REGISTER. Save the leaves wasted space, save as it recovers.

  • expdp to be smaller file size

I try expdp schemas = xxxx.
The file size is 91 GB.

is there anyway to tell system to compress or anything to make smaller file size, IE. Only 4 GB?

At the OS level or custom level oracle compression compress 91 GB to 4 GB. His compress more or less to 1/4, for example 16GB datafile would be compressed to somewhere around 4 GB. For compression 91GB you will get about 23 GB.

I suggest to make data file numbers while making export using attribute and specify the SIZE attribute to control the maxsize parameter and then use the PARALLEL attribute.
    For example

    expdp HR/hr FILESIZE = 4024 DIRECTORY = dpump_dir1 DUMPFILE=exp2%U.dmp PARALLEL = 7 M

Remember compression you need license and parallel use, check the CPU

  • Very small file size

I am trying to place one Avitar on another web site that restricts the size 90 x 90 px max and only a file size of 10 k. How can I get the file size this small in PSE8?

First create your file of 90 x 90 pixels, then go in save for Web. Click the arrow to the right of the preset menu, and you should see the option optimize for size of file option. Enter 10K, save the resulting.

  • Why is my much smaller file size than when I used the adobe ideas

I use adobe ideas and my drawings are usually on 10 meg. Now, using Adobe draw my file for the very similar designs size is only 1 meg. How can I change the size of the files to get the maximum resolution?

    Hi Magicwand,

The only way to increase the size of the drawing is to be sent to the desktop computer. You use the versions of creative cloud of our software?

  • CS4 and Raw-small file size

I have RAW files that are anywhere from 7 to 15 MB.  They are open like 10 x 15 inches.  My JPEGs open in many large sizes of files - inches 50 +.  I downloaded the latest plugin Adobe RAW for CS4.  With the help of a Canon 40 d.  Searched and searched online for an explanation. Thank you

It depends on how much more you need.

If it's only a couple of inches, I had pretty decent results go as low as 180 in the resolution.

You can also try using the Options of workflow at the bottom of the dialog box camera raw to set the dimensions of the larger pixels for your camera raw file.

  • The Lightroom export file size: why it's so small? How can I maximize the picture quality?

My image file size is much smaller after editing and export through Lightroom. It is impossible to maintain the size of the original file in order to preserve image quality? This small file size will have a negative impact on the prints? Any help is appreciated!

The file size is not an indicator of picture quality! You are looking at the wrong measure.

File size is determined by the number of pixels you have, the quality slider in the dialog box export and of a dozen other things, most of which you cannot control.

Want to watch the number of pixels (width and height) and not the size of the file.

It is impossible to maintain the size of the original file in order to preserve image quality?

Not only is impossible, that it is also meaningless (see above)

This small file size will have a negative impact on the prints?

Instead look at the size of the file, you must look at the number of pixels of the exported photo (width and height), and this will determine if you get a decent impression. The usual standard is that you need 300 pixels per inch.

  • Smaller files with an alpha channel

I made a short video file in After Effects with an alpha channel of several different ways, but I can't to it go below 3 GB. Is it possible to get the smaller file without reducing the quality or the size of the composition? I would like to get the smaller file size to put in the cloud for use in a group project, and / 3GB is not really all that big a file, I have several files with an alpha channel that others need to access.

The smallest file size with an alpha channel that is always the production quality would be a QuickTime JPEG 2000. Set the quality to about 85 to 90%.

  • after effects cs5 - quicktime h264 of very large file size

    Hello

I wonder if someone can recommend a codec quicktime good for very small file sizes, for overview makes.

project in progress - my wmv renders out approximately 10 MB and of reasonable quality that is excellent.

some of my clients have flip for mac, so I have to make a quicktime.

the quicktime h264 out much more than expected. same timeline, pixel dimensions and speed = approximately 150 MB and a similar quality.

I thought that in the past my QT h264 renders were perhaps double the size of my wmv file renders more leap of 15 x.

am I missing something really obvious?

    pixel size = 1000 x 250,

    frame rate = 30 images/s,

    Timeline = 4 m 30 s

    H264 quality = 50%

    Audio = aac stereo

using after effects cs5, win7 pro

    Thanks in advance

    s

the file size is directly related to the baud rate at which you are encoding, not the size of the image or images per second. So, if you want a 10 sec clip to be 15 MB (excluding noise), divide 15 MB at 10 s and get you 1.5 Mbps bit rate, or 12 Mbps. You can get a better quality if you encode 2-pass VBR with a maximum bitrate set to what you calculated previously.

In any case, it is usually best to make your comp to a losless format (QT none, or TGA sequence, etc.) and then compress your video with Media Encoder. In this way, you can play with the settings for H.264 until you get an acceptable result, without having to make EI every time.

  • Word of the file size: .docx converted in PDF format

    Hello

I use Adobe acrobat X pro and I need to convert a Word to PDF file to join with all do us commercial offers. The file size is important in order to limit the size of the mailbox content. At the moment my Word file is 25 and it's ok, but when I convert it the result is a 120 KB PDF... I did some research in the Acrobat community and they often explain to use "Save as other", but I do not have these (maybe it came with version XI).

I would like to know if anyone has an idea of what I can do with my version of acrobat to reduce the size of the file.

    Thank you

    Ben

PDF Optimization is not available in Std AFAIK. However, you asked on the conversion of a WORD file. The best way to keep the size down is to NOT use save them in Adobe PDF format. Who's using PDF Maker (the Acrobat in WORD menu) which adds tags and many other things that inflate a default PDF. If you do not use this option, then use preferences to disable the tags and other elements in the file (like all bookmarks and all the rest). The easiest way is to print to the Adobe PDF printer. Don't forget to keep your simple fonts. It is better to embed fonts when you send a PDF file to others (especially from PC to MAC Linux as the fonts on the system may be different). Don't use only not the smaller file size settings. Use Std as a minimum or press options or Print embed all the fonts as subsets. The MST is fine as long as people use Acrobat or Reader for viewing, but other viewers may not recognize the basic fonts Adobe.

  • Unable to save a file "smaller file" pdf from illustrator 5.5

We recently insalled Adobe Standard 5.5

I often save in Illustrator PDF files using the PDF options available in the menu bar dropdown PDF when you save files. Usually I will record a Visual as a "smallest file size" or make use of the option of "high quality print" for other files etc.

Why can't do this on CS5.5?

In addition, the color is not accurate at all!

    Help, please

Hi Scott - I found the thread following on the net. So, I looked at my time machine backups and copied the files from there, that I then pasted in my settings folder as you suggest.

    Ta da! Everything works again!

No idea how I could restore these settings from a backup?

    Thank you!

The predefined settings PDF resident in/Root/Library/Application Support / Adobe / Adobe PDF / Settings /.

After installing 10.6.5, 6 predefined files have been removed from the settings folder. The folder hierarchy remained himself, it's just that some of the content in the "settings" have been deleted. I solved the problem by copying settings deleted a backup files.

These are the files that have been deleted:

    More small file Size.joboptions

    Press quality.joboptions

    PDFX4 2008.joboptions

    PDFX3 2002.joboptions

    PDFX1 2001.joboptions

    Print.joboptions of high quality

These files have not been removed:

    Standard.joboptions

    PDFA1b 2005 RGB.joboptions

    PDFA1b 2005 CMYK.joboptions

    Pages.joboptions oversized

Someone at Adobe Indesign community support directed me to restore these files from a backup that solved the problem.

  • Smart Object = reduced file size?

According to many experts (including Scott Kelby) conversion of an image to a smart object and apply a filter directly will make for a much smaller file size (half) If you duplicate the layer and apply a filter first. I tried to save the two senses. The file using the smart object was 50 mg as opposed to 40 mg for the layer file to chip away! What gives?

    YW.

And to add to the answer. (Sound showing that unanswered in the upper part)

Dynamic objects increase the size of the file, not sure on exactly the programming process.

But yes, they increase the size of the file.

    Laughing out loud

  • The backup files are smaller in size after ACS ACS 5.2 to 5.3

After ACS upgrade from 5.2 to 5.3 we have noticed that the backup files are significantly smaller in size. They were for example before the upgrade:

    285633099 2011-10-23 22:01 Meduza-ACS-111023 - 2200.tar.gpg

    285809254 2011-10-24 22:01 Meduza-ACS-111024 - 2200.tar.gpg

    And after the upgrade:

    124234429 2011-10-25 22:00 Meduza-ACS-111025 - 2200.tar.gpg

    124234425 2011-10-26 22:00 Meduza-ACS-111026 - 2200.tar.gpg

    What could cause this behavior?

How can we be sure if the backup files have been regular after the upgrade?

So what I wrote is true, but does not apply in your case

I think that there are also a few corrections that reduce the size of the transactions table. GST files relate to records associated with configuration changes and manage notification of these secondary changes, and run-time components. Transactions are stored in the configuration database, but contain no configuration data.

5.2 what they have not well cleaned and it has improved to the point 5.3.

    Impossible to find all the CDETS at the moment, but here's an example;

CSCth78269 Table ACSTRANSACTIONS is not properly cleaned during bulk operations

As you can see it before the upgrade that the size of your backup file has been more and once the size of constant upgrade

I think you should be good. Only way to confirm 100% is to restore data

  • I'm trying to reduce the file size of a jpeg file, but the dialog box under image > image size reflects a much smaller that the file is. I saved the image after resampling and by reducing the size of the image, reduced the pip to 72 and lowered the qua

I'm trying to reduce the file size of a jpeg file, but the dialog box under image > image size reflects a much smaller that the file is. I saved the image after resampling and simplistic image, the pip size reduced to 72 and lowered the low quality only to see the minimum file size reduction. Why the dialog box in photoshop gives me a different file size than my computer and how do I solve this problem? Thank you!

The Image Size dialog box dialog box shows the uncompressed size.

Your operating system (Explorer/Finder) shows the size compressed. (size on the disk)

If you use save for Web, you can see the compressed size, but also an overview.

  • Why I get more LARGE file size if the resolution is SMALLER?

    I had a video that I got from someone in 1080 p (mp4) and it was 7MB

Then I changed it to 480 p (mp4) and then it was 9MB

How do I make the file size my most small?

It is the only way to reduce the rate of export data.

    Data rate determines the quality!

9 MB for 20 seconds is already very low.
