• Vectorize an image using Labview

  Hello world!

  So, I work with a 3D cutting machine (Roland MDX - 15) and I'm supposed to design a program that can load images and burn them on a piece of wood using Roland MDX - 15.

  What I've done, is to create a program where you can draw a picture using the tools of sketch of Labview and the machine will sculpt.

  The machine is capable of carving the image using vectors (she follows lines point by point).

  Now, I have to do the same thing, but an image that I have load in Labview. Therefore, I need to vectorize the image so that the machine gets a set of lines to draw. A program that is already it is Dr.Engrave (see youtube if you need to understand what I need).

  So, anybody know a 'simple' way to transform an image into a set of vectors?

  I found a way to read the configuration of my PXI-1044.  I would read the section external calibration of the Calibration tab in MAX for my PXI-5114 and PXI-4065 (last calibrated and recommended the next Dates of calibration) using Labview to read.  The preferred format, I'm looking is similar to the configuration of my PXI-1044 which retrieves data in a format delimited by tabs.  Thanks in advance for any information that can throw this forum on this topic.

  Thanks for the vi.  I tried on one of the systems and other that it could not find the Initialize.vi, I replaced with one that is the measure of e/s > System Configuration, it will do the job and data retrieval will not be a problem.

  I use the NI 1744 smart camera to capture and record continuous images of a moving object. My smart camera is detected in MAX and made the seizure of an image. But when I use the attached file of VI in labview, the smart camera is not detected, only the webcam is detected and a video can be generated using the webcam. Please help me detect the NI 1744 smart camera. I will be grateful.

  I have a Hp 8753D Network Analyzer that I would like to order via GPIB with labview. In fact, I want to build an interface where the data of the instrument are displayed on my laptop and export them after.  example "series 8753xx read and graph", does exactly what I want, but requires a file name of State as well as a calibration file name. Calibration I am used to doing so far is that manually, so I don't know what type of file to be inserted in the specific field. In addition, I have nothing but the parser, not even the calibration kit. Is there a way to create a path where the code automatically extracted labview saved state and calibration saved in the memory live Analyzer?

  For automatic playback of the files, you can code obviously hard paths in your VI. What I have done, is to have paths in an ini file which is read at the beginning.

• display multiple images in Labview front panel

  I have an application in which I want to show multiple images (say, 16) on the façade of labview (thumbnail is preferable). I want to show some information about the image (like their quality and the index number). Now if the user double clicks on a thumbnail of the image then I want to choose this particular image for further processing.

  Could someone tell me please how to do this?

  I see several approaches here.  We need to start by a group of 16 indicators of photo.  Put the photos in them.  There are several ways to scale to the size of the thumbnails.  The simplest is probaby the ZoomFactor of an image property.  One of the toolkits - Vision, I think - includes functions to resize the images.  There are also screws posted on this forum to do simple image and someone recently released most of the code to do with .NET.  You can then seek a double click on any of these images and determine where the user has clicked.  I think you can find the sample code to detect a double-click; the basic idea is that you look two mouse events down within a certain period of time by using a structure of the event.

  Another method would be a single picture control displaying multiple images.  You want to search for two clicks to the same place (or very close to the same place) in a certain period of time, then determine the image that is displayed for this place.  A good start for it would be Ben emoticon display VI http://forums.ni.com/t5/BreakPoint/Starware-A-new-concept/m-p/616094?view=by_date_descending#M4595

• iTunes Store not to display properly - oversized images - 12.4 to

  I had problems to access the iTunes store.  The problem began in 12.3.3 and continues in the new update to 12.4.  (My OS is Win 8.1 64bits)

  Problem - all images/writing are 2 to 3 times higher than normal, there is no sidebar to scroll with the sliders in each section do not work and there is no scroll bar. I can't scroll to see the rest of the page or look in the column that is usually either to the right.

  I uninstalled and reinstalled the application several times and I keep getting the same problem.

  How can I solve this problem?

  I am running windows 7.  I have experienced the same problem after 12.4.0.119.  I can solve it by going to adjust my screen resolution and then click on "make text or other objects more or less.  I still had mine average 125%.    If I change it to more small 100% the problem is resolved.  But then, everything else is too small for me.   So I am stuck so to know what setting to use.  Never had this problem before, only after the upgrade.

  I read the fourms here and I've seen a couple of good posts on the recovery.  However, I don't always get I guess.  I intend to mess with getting Ubuntu on my new feed 7.  I watched Win 8.1 recovery (failed with error 0 x * something not recorded) and Macrium, which seemed to work ok, but the problem is that these two require an operational Windows (although I had Macrium create an iso to boot).  Then before, that I accidentally hose something, how to do a backup complete unit?  I pretend as if I had a new hard drive... How to restore everything from the ground up?  Thank you.

  Hi, I would recommend using the recovery utility that comes with Windows 8.1.  I tested it by creating recovery USB of my flow 7. I then deleted all partitions of disk and booted from the USB and ran in recovery and it restored everything to get out of the box factory setting, including the 5 GB recovery partition.  You need an adapter OTG and USB drive 8 GB, you can test after you create it by booting from it and it will show the various options of the menu.

  I'm trying to put a background on the theme on my front, I know that you can drag and drop pictures on the front, but you can't put controls or buttons on the image because then always end up going under the image.

  Don't forget that you can place images on the background through the properties of the component. This is similar to the windows desktop, you have the choice of tile, Center and stretch.
