ProRes polyphonic Audio files cause accidents in 2015.1?

I noticed that when I load ProRes files with audio polyphonic in the sudden and complete source and shuttle quickly, monitor accidents happen instantly.

I have reproduced it with the two HQ 422 and versions of the ProRes 4444 codecs.

ProRes files with any audio integrated work very well and don't cause the accident.

Any of you have seen a similar anomaly?

  • Captivate accidents import or edit an audio file

    Hello

    I created demos of software simulation with text-to-speech voices in Captivate 5.5 on Windows 7.  Recently, on the one hand projects, I replaced the text-to-speech by importing audio files to MP3 successfully. Whie repeating the same effort in another project, Captivate crashed.  This behavior is true in all new and existing projects to import everything or modification of audio data. Captivate freezes in the following circumstances:

    1.

    Open a new/existing project.

    Import audio to the slide - mp3. The file is imported successfully.

    The Captivate is suspended shortly after importation.

    2.

    Open a new/existing project.

    Import audio to the slide - mp3. The file is imported successfully.

    Save the file and continue working with the application.

    Click Edit Audio option in the properties. The grip of Captivate.

    Note: By clicking on the option Delete Audio in properties is running without any problems.

    3.

    Open an existing project.

    Select audio for a slide, and then click Edit Audio

    The grip of Captivate.

    Has anyone ran into similar problems? Help, please.

    Kind regards

    Nalini

    Rodward thanks for your reply. I found the solution to search the forum Archives. [I just renamed my preferences directory in C:\Users\[user name] record Captivate 5.5 \AppData\Local\Adobe\Adobe. That fixed the problem.

  • Use WMP to play audio files of older games triggers the Crash game

    I have a game more Microsoft called Age of Empires. The game has some cool sound effects, I went into the game directory and played some of the sounds with Windows Media Player. Now when I try to play the game, it crashes when these sounds are triggered.

    I learned that WMP adds a kind of coding for audio files when he plays, and that older games such as Age of Empires do not include this extra info so when the game tries to play the sounds, it crashes.

    I tried to uninstall the game completely and put it back and even delete audio files and their replacement, but he did not set. It is only the sounds that I played on WMP that cause the game to Crash, all the sounds I was not playing on WMP still work fine.

    Can you please tell me how to resolve this.

    Hi Halima,

    Thanks for your reply. I managed to solve the problem in a different way. I open each file with a program (I use Adobe Audition) for audio editing, you click Save under and saved all of the audio files as new mp3 files, crushing & replace the original files. I did it in bulk by opening all the audio files at the same time and choosing "save all".

    This seems to have removed the additional coding added to audio files in Windows Media Player and the game can play these audio files when triggered.

    That said, I do not understand why crushing & replacing the mp3 files fixed the issue so that the uninstall & reinstall the game does not - this method of relocation removed all files of game (including all audio files) and replace them with the original from disk files, but still they cannot be triggered by the game. Maybe the computer recognized them somehow as the same files that WMP had altered and automatically change them again. Very strange.

    Thank you

    David

  • No-a-Ref does not work with audio files?

    I use LabVIEW 2013 32 bit under W7 - 64.  When I open an audio file and you write for, for example ref is valid, Not-a-Refnum? function returns True.  Is this a limit known audio file?  The same is true with the example program OR 'His file to the Output.vi' when an audio file is opened in read mode.  The works of VI, but the Not-a-Refnum? is set to True.

    DaveT

    This is a known limitation. The screws of Sound do not use a real LabVIEW refnum, they take advantage of just the type of file refnum to conceal their own internel reference as a LabVIEW refnum That has the advantage that you can wire not accidentally other refnum or integer to these screws, but that it is not working with the primitive IsNotA Refnum(). The node RefnumToPath in any case never could work, even if these screws used a real refnum of LabVIEW, given refnum would be a refnum of Sound specific resource, not a file (normal file or datalog) Refnum, which is type single refnum where the Refnum of the function of the path runs on for pretty obvious reasons, like other resources in LabVIEW are not a valid path.

    In some cases, a file with a file type that Windows Movie Maker does not support may cause Windows Movie Maker stops responding. This can be caused by incompatible video filters. You can verify what filters are installed and force Windows Movie Maker to avoid loading specific filters by restarting simply Windows Movie Maker.

  • Audio files

    When I import an MP3 audio file that is downloaded and has a length of 1 minute and 1 second it is cut up to 20 seconds. I want to know why this is and how I could set it right?

    Hello

    This problem may be related to audio file MP3 or audio programming channel. To find out the exact cause of this issue, I would like to ask more questions:

    1 did you play this audio file before? Was it the same length as she displayed?
    2. what program did you use to read this file? Have you tried to play this audio with another program?
    3. this issue occurs with other audio files? If so, try to play the audio file with another program. Otherwise, please download this file again to see if it is 20 seconds long.

    I hope this helps.

    What you will do, is add the PlayerListener and / if you have in your loop code would go in the treatment of the END_OF_MEDIA event. Once that noise has stopped you will start the next sound and add the listener of player.

    //Declarations
    PlayerListener pListen;
    String mp3 = "";

    ..........
    ..........

    pListen = new PlayerListener(){
       public void playerUpdate(Player player, String event, Object eventData) {
          if (event.equals(PlayerListener.END_OF_MEDIA)) {
             if( mp3.equals(test1) ) mp3 = test;
             else if( mp3.equals(test2) ) mp3 = test3;
             else if( mp3.equals(test3) ) mp3 = test4;
             .........

             InputStream stream = (InputStream)this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("/" + mp3);
             p = Manager.createPlayer(stream, "audio/mpeg");
             p.realize();
             p.prefetch();
             p.addPlayerListener(pListen);
             p.start();
          }
       }
    }

    InputStream stream = (InputStream)this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("/" + mp3);
    p = Manager.createPlayer(stream, "audio/mpeg");
    p.realize();
    p.prefetch();
    p.addPlayerListener(pListen);
    p.start();

    So, add the try-catch blocks.

  • Audio file corrupts when I import it to the Prime Minister.

    Hello

    I have an audio file recorded on a recorder in. MP3. It plays OK on the recorder and the Imac, but when I import to a project in PP CC 2015.4 there an audio from 1 sec it repeats. I can't yet make out is part of the original recording.

    Steps tried: -.

    1. I deleted the record off the coast of the Imac and re-imported to the coast of the recorder. It becomes correct when played on the Imac, but corrupts again when they are imported as mentioned above.

    2. I started a new project and imported the audio after going through step 1. and the same 1 second repetition happens.

    3. I tried to delete the original file on the Imac and create a new one in a different folder. Then important recording to him. He plays very well, but then again corrupts when imported to the Prime Minister.

    Below is a screenshot in the first pro of the imported file

    Any ideas please?

    Thank you

    Of course, I don't know what the settings were for the mp3 file, the compression and the frequency Hz... 44100, 48000, whatever... sometimes PrPro does not as well with MP3s as others. And it's sometimes better with other types of audio file.

    Have you considered conversion that perhaps WAV or something?

  • Hearing CC destroyed a large part of my audio files on the crash

    Hearing CC 2015.2.1 just crashed on me - no problem you would think - BUT it has destroyed a large part of my audio files (missing Clicks random and audio) on the crash.

    Bad things first: even if I saved in iterations - it is not repairable - because he destroyed the ORIGINAL audio files that refer to all saved iterations - so no luck.

    Good thing is that I have copies of backup of the shoot raw files. S ' got away with a little fright and a LOT of work to redo.

    I will not use hearing again. My work is too valuable. From scratch in another audio program, because I need reliability in a professional workflow.

    Sorry to hear that you have given up the hearing.  I can assure you that this isn't normal behavior and that the hearing is used professionally in thousands of companies - radio, audio for video post-production stations, even on the odd Hollywood feature.

    Of what you say, I doubt that you are interested in making this kind of post-mortem, but if you wanted we would be happy to try to work on what went wrong.  We would need to know the details of your computer, what version of hearing you used and a description of the work flow using... i. e whether in multitrack or wave form view, what effects/changes that you have made and exactly how you saved 'iterations '.

    Also, try never hearing again, this FAQ hearing crashed.  Now what?  gives some details on how to proceed.

    Finally, I'll just mention that the hearing has an automatic backup center - you can set it to backup all of your project at some specified time interval - and you can also tell him to back up to another hard drive or even to the cloud.  It certainly got me out of trouble once when a bolt of lightning nearby fried my drive hard mid session!

  • bad audio file

    I don't really know what's happening or what's causing this problem.

    When I read my calendar, all of a sudden my audio file reproduces the wrong file. If I "reveal in finder" he links to the correct file. Even if I "reveal in the project." If I double click on the file and view it in the Viewer window, the clip is titled "using this script", which is the bad title of the clip. I don't know even where this title comes from.

    This problem occurs randomly. I erased the media cache. Don't know what else to do.

    This file is likely to contain audio compressed, which will be similar to the import. Once again, how exactly are clearing the cache of media? You need to clean the files from the cache manually by finding the CFA files (located in the folder of media Cache files, situation which is defined in the preferences of media) and delete in the Explorer OS files, not through the 'Clean' function in the media browser.

  • How to add an audio file to my Flash Animation, recording Audio in QuickTime Player

    I have a Question.

    So I try to add an audio file to my Flash Animation, but the library is like 'NOPE SCREW YOU', for me and I don't know what to do. The Im trying to download the files were recorded with QuickTime Player.

    Info

    QuickTime Player Audio track made from

    Mac Book Air

    Flash CC 2015

    10.9.5 OSX

    Makes m4a files, QuickTime Player, that you can open in iTunes, click on save as MP3.

    But I do not have it. Working with audio in Flash is much more successful if the WAV sound. Use an audio conversion program to a WAV version, use Flash. It may be MP3 in the final swf or the files of the HTML5, but keep as WAV while working on the FLA.

    The converter that I use is this one:

    Audio-Converter on the Mac App Store

    It can also convert to OGG format, which is useful to support Firefox.

    I assume, you're first CC 2015.0.2

    go to your first preferences > Audio hardware

    you are Windows with peripheral Audio class material MS or Mac with hardware Audio Core Audio.

    Some are cutting their default entry and choose - no

    some bind their contribution to their sound card

    I as corresponding to the sampling frequency - being the audio frequency of media matches your supported hardware input and output audio frequency

    look in the settings of your Audio hardware and audio equipment
