protection of records

I have my e-mail account in thunderbird-protected by a password of account and a master password
This protects me to get new email

Question and problem: when I start thunderbird and then cancel the password, I can use the existing
e-mail in the Inbox folder (and other folders just read)

Is it possible, so that nobody can read it (for example, those directories that it is bound to the password and then pass Access displays for e-mail reading existing)

Thunderbird stores mail on the hard disk in plain text format. It's that simple, so obviously a password to stop the search mail application will not stop windows search to find readable copy. The only way to do what you want safely, it is built-in to your operating system user account.

If you want to tinker toy safety KOSMOS made an Add-on. But I quote "it must be clear that for the features of Thunderbird, a protection like this is very small and a smart user can easily go around."

  • On the utility of record pass-protected when the disk is encrypted

    Dear all,

I recently put my hands on a new internal drive SSHD and decided to quantify using filevault. Keep important documents on my mac, I used to create folders of password-protected using a disk with disk utility image. Now, my question is simple: is there a utility on the creation of these encrypted files as all the disk itself is already encrypted? This would add valuable new protection?

Thank you very much in advance,

    Richard

Data sheet: mid - 09 13 MBP "2.26 GHz with internal WD 1 TB SSHD

If your disc is encrypted, then the only way that anyone (including YOU) can look at the contents of your Volume is to provide your password to disk, which we hope is a long and strong password, not only a short practice. Depending on how paranoid you are, perhaps you fell there is additional value on encryption more away from the additional items. But for extra security, the password for your encrypted disks in addition should not be readily available on your drive any just-encypted.

Most users have very good success with encrypted Volumes. They manage to protect their records from the person mostly likely to access - themselves. DO NOT ENCRYPT YOUR DRIVE WITHOUT CREATING A RELIABLE BACKUP! The encryption is strong - there is no 'rescue' for an encrypted Volume that goes wrong for any reason, including failure of the drive.

  • How to make and receive an email that is password protected?

A seller wants us to send and receive emails that are protected by Word. I don't want this option to apply to all other communications. How do I configure this?

Assuming that your attachment is a Word document, you must protect by using Word.

You can also compress the document with e.g. Winzip and protect the records.

It's nothing that can be done with Thunderbird.

    Hello ncfishnman910,

Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.

ncfishnman910, as long as your account is password protected and records aren't shared not no one else should have access to one of your folders.

    This should solve your problem.

Let us know if these steps solve your problem.  I hope the information is useful.

    Kind regards

  • Several VCS - C for the deployment of Jabber

    Hello

I found no documentation if the following scenario is possible:

    -MSD 1 with TMSPE

    -1 VCS Expressway

-Control of multiple VCS (different places connected by VPN)

    Right away:

-Video jabber is configured on TMS with different areas

-Jabber client credentials come from AD (all areas)

-Jabber clients are on VCS Control 1

    Scenario:

    -Several VCS control servers

-Jaber clients will register to the VCS control of their zone / area (based on the rules related to the domain.) Ex: [email protected] / * / will record on VCS - C1,[email protected] / * / will record on VCS - C2, etc.)

    -1 easy to use TMS

    Thank you!

    Hi Valentin,.

Yes, it is possible. Configure the various commissioning (SIP server address different VCS - C you want to register to the value), templates for different groups that you want to register on different VCS and affect the good model for groups.

Also, be sure to activate the commissioning (from MSDS) on all VCS which should be able to sign up customers in service.

Let me know if you have any questions,

    Arne

  • Improved 8 GB to 16 GB of memory - DRM system more

I have updraded my system under Windows 7 Pro 16 GB memory. Now, no obstructed DRM content will run without an error message empty of meaning. Decommissioning of 8 GB restore all functions concerning the management of DRM. How to work around this problem (restore the rights with the new memory)?

The error indicates that my system date is set on XXXX which may be incorrect. This is posted within Windoows Media Center when you try to view the streams Netflix and Netflix web pages when viewed through a browser. WMC will not play protected either recorded TV shows (his convinced the computer in not the one that recorded the show). The error message is attributed to a problem with Silverlight (called the Netflix forum), but Silverlight is up-to-date.

Remove the extra 8 GB of ram returns the system to normal. Conclusion - a change to 8 GB in size of invalid memory the DRM license on the computer. I need to force licensing DRM to refresh and update my system while maintaining rights '' I already have.
  • Toshiba D-R4SU record show - contained protected against copying

Have had this machine for awhile.
Always have used Phillips DVD-R discs. I always could dub movies on DVD by hooking my VCR, as well as TV and record shows transfer to my DVD recorder and hang the video camera too it and dub on DVD.

However, in the last days, I get a message "content is protected against copying and recording is paused.
And it is not matter of the foregoing, I am doing happens.

It will record two minutes or less before the message appears on the TV screen.
I'm not doing something different, or using different media or anything else. If anyone has had this problem, and if so how do solve you this problem?

    Any help is appreciated.

Sorry, but this model was not sold in the European Union, but it is made for the U.S. market. Area code will be different from EU models, so I suggest you discover local AMERICANS support help pages to go further.

  • PlayReady update was Incomplete. You will not be able to watch or record content protected until the is qualified. Everyone I have this same problem and found a solution?

I clean installed 2 x times the RC of windows 7 pro x 64. Both times I got this error in media center. I manually downloaded the playready 1.3 program. I can record my channels satalite with no problems so I don't understand why he repeats the above message. However, I am worried that when the DRM updates for the satalite it won't work and I won't be able to update. I have not changed anything in the hardware level in the computer as so he wouldn't because he thinks it's another computer. Any help would be appreciated.

Clarification on this: summer working on this issue for more than 2 months on 4 computers, that's what I found.

Note: Not all the patches will work on a pc due to various stages of updates, patches, etc. No matter what anyone says or claims. What works for me, the other person or even technical support, may not be due to a strange configuration on your pc. Nevertheless, that's what I did on the final 3 computers that have no auto update of the readyplay.

    (1) get to the point in media center it says Readyplay failed to update, you want to try again.

(OPTIONAL) Download the tool from Microsoft DRM Reset, change in Compatibility Mode for Windows 7 (or any version of Windows), run the tool as admin. He must install and say successful.

    (2) open Windows "Services" via the control panel > administrative tools > Services.

    (3) with Media Center open and show "the PlayReady update was incomplete. Do you want to retry? "Goto Control Panel"Services"you just opened and scroll all the way" Services Windows Media Center Receiver ", double-click it, and then click on"Stop ".

    4) navigate to the folder ReadyPlay HIDDEN (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\PlayReady), and THEN Delete the mspr.hds file.

    (5) return to the OPEN & CONTINUES, Media Center and click 'Yes' and 'Next' to the question of the PlayReady update. He should immediately zip past and say update complete & you can watch and record copy-protected blah blah blah. It can also update a guide or something too.

If this doesn't work for you after that 5-6 tests, you have something to another block you, but you don't have need for both 32 bit and 64 bit PlayReady installed to update. This is the 'Service' which is really prevents the update, but simply stop w/o those other steps do not work >.

    Good luck!

  • protection of the system only records a week

My computer work Protection system has been initially disabled. I turned on and get what he put in place and it works fine most of the time, apart from the fact that he only recorded on a weekly interval. I can't find any setting or post showing how to change it for all the days or anything else. My IT Department must fix or there at - it a setting I can change? I'm working on a windows 7 Professional

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

Your computer is connected to a domain network?

Thank you for details on the issue.

System protection is a function that creates and records information about your computer's system files and settings regularly. The system protection also saves previous versions of files that you have modified. It saves these files in the restore points that are created just before significant system events, such as the installation of a program or device driver. They are also created automatically once every seven days if no other restore points were created in the last seven days, but you can create restore points manually at any time.

    For reference:
    What is system protection?

    I hope this information helps.

  • TCS, a protected record Conference PIN

    Hello community,

I have a question about registration on TCS.
In TCS web interface, if I'll begin a record to a CMR on telepresence Server/driver
protected with PIN registration starts, but I can't the same Conference to provide the correct PIN of the Conference.

    What to check?

    Appreciate for your help.

    Hello

As Patrick mentioned, could you provide that versions of the systems concerned in particular the CHT? Also how it's integrated into your call - CUCM or VCS control?

I tested this with TCS version 6.2 and same result. PIN protected conferences cannot be registered at the launch of the recording of the CHT. Our deployment was THAT TCS is connected via SIP trunk on CUCM.

On the Note of Cisco TelePresence Content Server Release 6.2 Release, this is a known limitation of CUCM SIP trunk. See Limitations and Restrictions - Pin protected calls and PIN protected recording playback does not work with trunk SIP CUCM.

  • Record of upgrading to Windows 8 protected against the existing copy.

If I do an upgrade (not a clean install) of a PC of 7 to 8 will I still be able to play existing

    TV recordings protected against copying?

    Hello

If you have the records as protected against copying, you would be able to read them after upgrade to Windows 8 Windows 7. In this case, the DRM (Digital Rights Management) keys are restored when you perform an upgrade rather than a new installation.

  • Error message from windows 7 + 0 × 8007007B record lost on system protection

I lost an important file on the desktop of my PC. I have Windows 7 as operating system. When I tried to do system restore, it asked me to turn on system protection. When I tried to do, I got the error message 0 × 8007007B. Please help me, I need this very urgent and very important file.

    Hello

The error 0x8007007B occurs when the system is configured to store the restore on a wrong path or location points

I also suggest you try the steps and check.

    (a) right click on computer and select Properties.

    (b) click on the System Protection.

    (c) in the list of available drives, see if you have a partition into two (2 times the same partition), one with the word "missing" or "disappeared".

    (d) if so, uncheck this missing partition and it should solve the problem.
